A magic thing happened yesterday! I reached the unbelievable 100 mark on my followers! Thank you so much, Anne-Elise! Please check her out. She's only been blogging since March and her work is awesome. Also awesome is Chris Carter who broke that century mark and took me to 101! When I started this site in October last year, I remember being so happy when I got to ten! It is a great compliment to click on someone's "join this site" button if you like their work, so I want to thank you ALL, sincerely, for clicking to join!
You'll notice that even in the heat, I insist on wearing the smoking gown I found in a thrift store. I call it my smoking gown 'cause I'm smokin' hot in it!
Okay, I did make a card! This is for the Dynamic Duos #7 challenge where the two colors this week are Melon Mambo and Black (neutrals okay); and for the "Snippets Challenge #25" over at the Pixie's Crafty Workshop playground.
That melon mambo is such a bright color, you can't help but smile when you see it.
Which reminds me, when I asked Mrs. Google to show me images of "happy old women," I have to say there is a sad lack of such a thing on the Intertube. There were hundreds of crabby looking old women, but not happy ones. Whadya say, my fellow fabulous retirement-age ladies? Let's each take a picture of ourselves ('cause that's even funnier!) laughing. We can call ourselves:
- "OWL" for "old women laughing."
- "HOW" for "happy old women."
- "CHOW" for "crazy happy old women."
- "LOW" for "laughing old women."
- "COWL" for "crazy old women laughing."
Stop me!
And then what? One of you has to step up at this point and take over [insert acronym] and tell us what we have to do so our happy pictures show up when a person searches Mrs. Google's Images. Anyone? Thanks! (I asked Mrs. Google how to do it, but I just got ads for chapstick and walk-in freezers.)
I thought I would share a couple of pictures today. This picture was taken Sunday after our Father's Day lunch out. I took it with my phone and it's blurry because obviously the twins sprinkled some sugar on their fish sand witches:
That's goofy Adam, still-hunky-handsome Mister (Papa), super hunky-handsome Son (Dan), and goofy Henry.
And lastly, appro po po of nothing, is an amusing photo I took one evening last week. We went downtown for dinner and there, in the parking lot, was this:
Perhaps I should have said appro poo poo of nothing! Your guess is as good as mine as to why this toilet was there. You just never know what you're going to see when you venture out! (You're thinking we should raise the bar when it comes to choosing our restaurants, aren't you?!)
Enjoy! As always, thank you for stopping by to visit. Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!

I say that because some people have commented on my blog pic saying that I look like I am laughing - well yes I am! What else would I do. Thanks for making me smile today too Darnell. A x
PS - congrats on the 101!! It still amazes me that people want to follow me, I think I will crack open the champagne when I get to 100 (67 now).
How anyone could come to this blog and not want to follow you immediately is completely beyond me - every day you make me smile/giggle/laugh out loud. Congrats on the milestone and thanks for bringing us all some fun!
Brilliant lady pic, fab card and wonderful toilet picture! Your blog always makes me happy! Xxx
What a HOOT you are today Darnell! Well at least from this angle the potty appears to be clean, maybe even new. A girl can hope!
Love this happy card you've made with the sweet layered tag and melon mambo peeking out from the inside, Thanks for playing along with us at Dynamic Duos!
You are very funny! And, your card is super, too. I love your tag, and you did such a nice job with those dd colors.
Brilliant card, and such a funny post Darnell! I could suggest COWS, Crazy Old Women Sniggering, but who'd wanna be called that?! Thanks for coming to play again! Di xx
Look Ma - an outdoor loo!!!! LOL
It would have to be HOWL - Happy Old Women Laughing, nothing like a pack of HOWLers out for a night on the town - specially with a full moon LOL!
I was going to suggest Laughing Old Ladies, but it's taken, LOL! Love the pic of all your handsome men, and that card too - love the stamp and that ribbon. I hope to post one for DD tomorrow. Thanks for the great laugh!
