I'm playing today with Freshly Made Sketches. This cute sketch is by the talented Rita Wright.
I've produced a fiddly card for this challenge. I think the word is fiddly. I've seen my British friends use it (don't you just love their cool-loquialism?!) and I like the sound of it. I think it means that you spent a bit of time fussing and detailing to get 'er done. Which this did.
When I was cleaning up my mess yesterday, I came across that cute ribbon which I forgot I had. I have no idea where it came from since it's in a clear little baggie. There are several other cute little ribbons in there, too, which you might see on a card soon. (That's the downside of not liking clutter. Sometimes I put new things away before I use them and then I forget I have them. I once did that with an entire set of pots and pans. Just kidding, who has a kitchen big enough to put away an entire set of pots and pans without it being a huge memorable production? And anyways, you can't wait to use new pots and pans. Apparently, in my head case, that's not true with cute ribbon.)
So, as I was about to say, before I was parenthetically interrupted, the ribbon reminded me of the cute brads I have, which are also unmarked. I'm thinking they are from Stampin' Up! because they get along so well with the "Sweets for the Sweet" stamp set which I used to make the background paper. It's a card that makes me smile. Because it's got to do with candy.
Having new followers also makes me smile! I'd like to welcome Zo and Nadia and Trisha! I appreciate having you on board!
Please enjoy ~ and, as always, thank you for stopping by. Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave me a comment!

Hi Darnell, I love your card, it is bright, pretty and sunny looking - almost good enough to eat.... Yes, you have got the definition of fiddly quite right! Crafty hugs, Anne x (in the UK)

ReplyDeleteSweet treats for sure! This is adorable! So glad you joined us at FMS!
ReplyDeleteI would love that kitchen where I could lose a set of pots!! We are all guilty of 'forgetting' what we have, but then isn't it nice to find it again! ps This is the cutest card, so cheery and fun!
ReplyDeleteLove this sweet, sweet card! Perfect for the 'tween' set (always looking for good ideas since I have one of these)
ReplyDeleteThis is super "sweet" Darnell, love it when I find something cool in my stash like that adorable ribbon on your card! Great job with the sketch, thank you for joining us at FMS.
ReplyDeleteI love your fiddly, happy card! Isn't it fun to find new stuff stashed away? It's like shopping without ruining your budget! And you've already forgotten about the budget that was ruined when you bought the stuff. Isn't that what they call a win-win?
ReplyDeletewow oh wow
ReplyDeletethat card is gorgeous - fresh, quirky, clean and simple - I love it.
I love how you love our 'funny' words Darnell - you used 'fiddly' in the correct way - we do indeed fiddle and faff!!! both mean the same essentially. I suppose we use words we just take for granted that everyone uses them - but then again, I live in the 'East Midlands' of the UK and will use words or phrases that the North or South don't use. Endearing terms/Pet names for people is a big one. Here we call people 'duck' or 'ducky' in the North you're a 'Hen' or 'Pet' in the South 'Babe' or 'Darlin''... and many many more. It makes for such interesting topics of conversation!!!
Anyway - I came to catch your WOYWW post but this one caught my eye. I also took the liberty to have a look at your 'playhouse'. All I can say is wow, wow and triple wow. What an absolute fabulous place you have. I don't have the room for an additional 'shed', but we do have a large garage that we have never put our car in LOL... the trouble is in the UK - we don't have enough good weather to be outside and would need to seriously be insulated and have some kind of heating installed. I'll stick to the conservatory! But oh, to have a place like you have. I have craft room envy - make that large!!!
