I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday weekend! After all the peeps left, I retired to my playhouse to put my feet up (my "dogs" were barking!) and see what Chrissie and Mandi had posted for this week's Less Is More challenge. Said they, "This week we have another Colour Challenge for you and to give it a slightly different twist we would like to see Three Shades of Green." (Click the link to join in the fun!)
This whole month LIM is are sponsored by The Ribbon Girl. One lucky winner will receive:
So many things in hues of green: leaves, flowers, grass, my face when I'm envious of someone's something they have that I don't . . . . At that point, I looked at the fabulous entries and decided the best card for shades of green that hadn't been done yet and that fit my personality would be one using one of my frolicky frog stamps. By the time I made the card, it was late, so I tucked in for the night. This morning, on checking LIM again, I saw in the new entries that Tilly (#73) also thought frog and her adorable card even had a cool frog charm! (Perfect example of my face turning green!)
Here's my froggie:
I think he's a little charmer, too, even if he is one-dimensional!
I have to detour for a seond to show you that the acrobatic frogs who protect the doorway to the playhouse took part in the twins' Easter egg hunt! Goofballs.

Back to the challenge, another idea came to me as I was adding Mister's beloved green olives to his lunch salad. I don't like olives, not even in a martini, but lots of folks do. Myself, I'll take my vodka shivering in a glass of ice with a twist of lemon. While it was a bit early in the day for cocktails, it wasn't too early to also make this "dirty martini" card for the challenge:
The stamp image only has two olives in the glass, so to reflect the three shades of green I did a little masking and a little anesthesia and a little implanting.
Thank you to Mandi and Chrissie for a hoot of a challenge to both relax and inspire me after a weekend of cleaning, cooking, eating, drinking, laughing, playing, loving, and feeling the blessings to the bone. Ham bone, that is, and away I go to cook up some soup!
And one last picture of Duke for a while. Our niece brought him the spiffy Easter scarf to wear yesterday and he was the best-dressed at the event! (Doesn't look like he's too happy about the whole idea, does it?!)
We sure do miss him!
Please enjoy ~ and, as always, thank you for stopping by! Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave me a comment!

It was very clever to add olives to the martini, especially as you don't like them... I prefer black ones myself!
