Less Is More Week 63 - One Layer "Doodling"

Happy Sunday Hello!
Happy Edit April 27, 2012Shut the front door! I just found out my simple little doodle feather card was showcased on the Less Is More challenge for week 63! Right now, seriously, if I wasn't sitting down, you could knock me over with a feather!  In fact, I'm floating.  Thank you so much to Chrissie and Mandi for making me know what it feels like to levitate!

I got a chance last night to check out one of my favorite challenges at Less Is More where Chrissie and Mandi lay awake nights thinking of ways to stimulate our creativity (and sometimes tweek my intelligence!).  I love those ladies.  This week they would like to see a one layer card with:
Doodling

Say they, "This can be in any form you wish, faux stitching, hand written or drawn elements on your card, zentangle. As long as you create something with 'ink' by hand.
I used to doodle a lot in school, which explained my grades and my excellent ability to take shorthand.  I am strongly resisting the pull to Zentangle.  Is that a verb?  I just know, given my love of the doodle, and the fact that part of the word "Zentangle" is "tangle," I would be down that rabbit hole in a second, never to craft anything else ever.  My playhouse would look like a spider's fun house, there would have to be a Craft Friends' Convention Intervention, and a Twelve-Step Program ... but one little card doodled free-hand, now that was doodles of fun!
Here is a picture of my card next to my inspiration stamp by Rubber Stampede:
Here's my first attempt:
I think the first feather's finer, but being a perplextionist, I didn't like how my hand-written sentiment climbed just ever so slightly up the card, so I started over.  My design doesn't hold a candle to the other beautiful Zentangle doodles and hand-drawn art work that has been entered.  My goodness, so many great artists and it's such a pleasure to see what everyone has created!  They are breath-taking, not to mention, inspiring.  Perhaps this afternoon, if I have Mister come and pull me away after a couple of hours, I could just Zen one little Tangle ...

Please enjoy ~ and, as always, thank you for stopping by!   Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave me a comment!
