I took it easy yesterday. I was feeling needy, however, so I looked up my old friend Joann Dotcom and she was more than happy to go shopping with me. Feeling the Cinco de Mayo celebration spirt (a spurt of celebration?), she didn't even charge to mail my goodies to me. I love her.
As you know, I'm heels over teakettle trying to figure out my usual challenges and whether or not this or that collection has closed. Like my last post, I had a stamp I knew I wanted to use for today, and just for today, but which challenge? Ah ha, the Freshly Made Sketches was just the ticket! The sketch, cleverly designed by Jen Mitchell:
And my card, cleverly turned sideways by me:
It's a lovely day here and the flower garden is woefully in need of some love and attention, so I am heading there. After a grueling 12 minutes, I will be parched I'm sure and feel the need to raise a glass of Modelo Especial in a frosted glass. ¡Hola! Maybe munch on some chips and salsa . . . well, bless my burrito, a girl can dream. I can't have any of those things quite yet, but I hope wherever you are, you are having a wonderful day, partaking in merriment and food and frothy libitations of your choice!
Please enjoy ~ and, as always, thank you for
stopping by to visit. Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a

Check out our single solitary strawberry plant I got for free from the nursery last year. I just popped it in one of the planter boxes next to the chives and oregano and thyme, all of which are coming back bonkers after having survived an unusually cold winter.
It was a thrill to notice it this morning and Mister will be thrilled to have super fresh strawberries with his yogurt tomorrow!
¡Adios!

So glad that you are up and about again, but should you be? Do you ever relax ....on second thoughts don't answer that. Very, very nice card! It looks like you could do with a bit of British rain and cold there, it looks like it here to stay over here. Those strawberries look yummy. Take care. Crafty hugs, Anne x
What a fantastic card this is! Wow, what a week. So glad you are home. Just make sure you are taking it easy!! Glad you could join us this week with this fun card!
That hat is brilliant and after the week you've had you certainly deserve more than one Modelo Especial!! Hope you had a lovely day in the garden and left some strawberries for Mister. (Personally if it were me I'd just have told Luis that the darn thing wasn't producing any fruit!)
Very cute card its so bright and cheery. Bet you are looking forward to being in the garden after everything that happened this last week. Enjoy but take it easy there.
Sandy :)
Love the hat! Great card - so festive!
Sounds like you are feeling better! DD#1 came to do yard work today so we had to join in. Man, am I lame! I love your sombrero1 Very colorful.
The last time I went shopping with Joann Dotcom she convinced me to NOT buy something that I really needed. I'm still mad at her.
After seeing your festive card, I'm tempted to go have a margarita somewhere! That's a great, colorful take on our sketch!
And watch out for the oregano. I planted some once and three years later it spread so much I thought it was going to snatch me out of my bed!
Hi Darnell,
Love your bright festive card which is great take on the sketch, and I'm glad you're feeling better.
Don't work too hard in the garden. - just sit back and eat those strawberries!
Such a happy and cheerful card! Thanks for sharing!
