Dynamic Dues #5 and Simon Says Anything Goes!

Tuesday greetings!

Yesterday afternoon I made a card for the newish blog challenge Dynamic Duos.  The colors are very similar to this week's Less Is More challenge celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, but I used Pacific Point for the Queen, which doesn't prezactly fit the colors for Dynamic Duos, which are:

They are indeed bold and sassy colors!  This is my first time linking a card to this fun challenge.  You should check it out.

I think I will also link up with this week's "Anything Goes" over at Simon Says Stamp as well.  Fist bump, baby, I had the presents of mind (like a gift) to enter one card in two challenges!  Careful, don't throw your elbow out.

I had to drive somewhere this morning and I realized that when I'm driving I am often in a situation that is incongruent.  If you look that up you'll find, "not congruent."  Oh, thanks, now I'm clear.  Congruent means in agreement or harmony.  I drive the opposite of that.

First, you need to picture that for the entire year I listen to one CD in my car.  It is Anne Murray's Christmas album.  Yes, that's right, all year long, every time.  One hundred degrees last week and I'm singing along to White Christmas.  It's just a thing I decided to do a couple of years ago because it makes me happy.

Unfortunately, it isn't enough to keep me from occasionally losing my kumbaya when I encounter a moron and we all know that the morons are slowly but surely taking over the roadways and byways.  I feel a bit ridiculous when, in the middle of, "I'll be home for Christmas," I bellow at another driver with words that, to be honest, are not in keeping with Anne's Christmas spirit, or words that the baby Jesus would want to hear.  After giving my thoughts to another driver relating to their mental capacity and ability to drive, and without so much as batting an eye, I resume singing a peace-filled refrain about love and warmth and peace.

Incongruent.

Please enjoy ~ and, as always, thank you for stopping by to visit.   Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!

  6. Sounds like you drive like my husband and daughter. I love that you listen to Christmas music all year. That sounds like my other daughter. Maybe we're related. Hmmm! Anyway, I like your bicycles and the pretty ribbon and that you leave fun comments on my blog.

  10. You just need roadways that are congruent to your CD. Like, move to rural Wisconsin, for example! Problem solved. Oops! Forgot about the tractors with that orange triangle on the back that you can't pass on the hilly two lane! Back to the card at hand: Great job stamping all those bikes! Love the dots on the bow and that great sentiment.

  11. I love your incongruence - it's just like mine! And I drive in rural Wisconsin once a year, and it's no better, just fyi! lol! I too have Christmas songs on my mp3, so pretty much every day, I'm singing along with at least one carol. Love your card - great use of the duo!
