We are going to see the twins and their parents on Sunday for Father's Day, during which we will give thanks once more for the blessing of having them live near enough for us to do that. As much as we loved Madison, Wisconsin, and all it's cheesy curdy goodness during the ten years our son lived there, we love having him and his family back close to home.
I saw a super cute charm at the stamp store last week and so today, in honor of Father's Day, I made a card for Mister, which I'll have Adam and Henry sign on Sunday. I used the sketch from the fun ladies at retrosketches. This week the sketch is:
World's Greatest Grandpa with a cherry on top! (I found a motorcycle in Word's clip art that I liked, so I copied and pasted it several times on a page to make my own background paper.)
Oh, poo poo, I just noticed in the proofread that I forgot to put three little doo-dads in the upper left-hand corner. Oh, well. Please click over to retrosketches and join in the fun and don't forget your doo-dads!
I'm editing this post because in my original post today I tried to explain how, for a couple of reasons, I don't do a very good job of always putting exclamation points in my comments on your blogs, so you would understand if you got a comment without them. It turns out that I didn't do a very good job of explaining it, because I've heard from friends here and on email that they thought I meant I did not like to see them in your comments to me. Oh, but yes, I do! So, never mind! Let's just hit edit and forget I ever mentioned it!! Sorry for the confusion!
Please welcome Andria as a new follower and please visit her blog Iona-Rose Handcrafted Cards when you get a chance. Thank you, Andria!

How cool is that charm, it's perfect for Fathers Day and Grandaddy day, great find. Lovely card, really like the sketch too may have to pop over and have a go myself. :)
What tickles me is that underneath where it says 'leave your comment' you have the message 'Thank you for taking the time to comment!!' - yes, with two exclamation marks. You can change this somehow within your dashboard, but I forget how so I can't tell you.
I love the cherry on top of your charm and that absolutely gorgeous red ribbon bow. Red is my favourite colour. Or should that be color? I never know whether to use American spellings when visiting blogs across the pond.
And now, just to annoy you: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I started this sentence and the one previously with 'and'. Tut tut tut.
Hahaha! You cracked me up! I fixed my comments comment since I already say in my last paragraph thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. Thanks for the head's up!! (I should have made it more clear that I do SOMETIMES use them, and I always like to GET them! LOL!)
Clever you to make your own background paper using clip art. I never think to do that. This is a great card. Ann Y.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Great Post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sad thing is, I find myself using exclamation points in everything I write...emails - work and personal. They are really inappropriate for work emails. So...now that I know it annoys you...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The charm on your wonderful Father's day card is a great find. It's hard not using any explanation marks. It doesn't feel right somehow but I'm aware that I sometimes use them too much. Enjoy the rest of your week. Shirleyx ps.. that was a good exercise but this compliment feels 'unexcited'.
I love your stories as much as I love your cards and this one is just too cute and that charm how sweet!
Oh, when did we get a grammar lesson? I must've missed that post. When I started commenting on cards, every sentence ended with an exclamation point. Now I just feel as though I'm yelling too much if I over use them. This is a great card, especially with that word art graphic on it. Great charm with the cherry on top too!
What a perfect card for your Mister on Father's Day! I evidently missed something or I just tuned you out about exclamation points! I'm usually so busy laughing that I don't pay attention to grammar. Just keep on with what you're doing, Darnell.
Brilliant card and love the charm! I seem to use exlamation points for everything! Your posts are wonderful, they always make me chuckle - in a nice way! xxx
So cute! Love the little charm! Thanks for playing along at RetroSketches!
