A Sunny Sunday Morning Hello!
I made a card Friday night for the new CAS-ual Fridays challenge CFC 66, which is to create a project featuring something you might see in or at the ocean.
The amazing sponsor is:
With the words "Splish Splash" in their banner, I'm seeing a lot of adorable whimsical fishie cards, which is where I tend to go. But I recently purchased SU's "The Open Sea" stamp set because the twins just love the go-along paper I purchased several months ago. This was the result of using both the paper and the stamp set, plus a fun sun from another piece of paper, and some jute thread:
You should check out the linkie as there are so many fantastic card insprirations of all types ocean-related ~ and then play along, why don't you?!
~~~
I had a good time at the banquet last night! There were 99 people there. This was my view from the head table:
My emceeing was well-received and yes, I had 'em rolling in the aisles! Still, I'm glad that's behind me. Now I have a work assignment to do the next couple of days and then a dear friend is coming from Denver to spend Tuesday and Wednesday. Shaping up to be another busy and fun week!
Here are a couple of kid-approved fish jokes:
What do you call a fish with no eyes?
F sh.
They have their own scales.
What fish goes best with peanut butter?
Jelly fish.
What is stranger that seeing a cat fish?
Seeing a fish bowl.
What is a knight's favorite fish?
A swordfish.
What is the best way to communicate with a fish?
Drop it a line!
Enjoy your Sunday! As always, thank you for stopping by to visit. Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!
Hi Darnell, love that stamped boat on your card and the paper really does look like the ocean. Glad to hear it went well, I always thought you would be a star. Great little jokes too! Crafty hugs, Anne x
I love the tie in (ha, ha) of the twine to the knots that sailors tie. Love your jokes - did the twinks tell those to you? lol!
SNIGGER! Love those fish jokes! And you've used one of my current favourite stamp sets :)
Too cute and I loved your fish jokes...my husband loves to fish and I can't wait to tell him a few of these. Glad to hear your dinner speech went well too. Have a wonderful sunday!
Hi Darnell, I like your elegant sailboat card which would be a great 'man card'. The twine is a great touch. I can imagine that you had the 99 people rolling in the aisles. Cute jokes ! Have a great week, Shirleyx
Well I'd say your card reminds me of the ocean. Very nice! Love your jokes. I'm sure my husband will be sharing them with the neighbors....Thanks for visiting my blog and good luck. I've put another entry into the drawing. Have a great week. Mary
Hello!
Your card is lovely! Glad to hear your emceeing went well - that's a lot of people to stand up in front of! I loved the fish jokes - they are really good! I was amazed at the amount of tomatoes from those random plants - they look wonderful! Wishing you happiness today!
