CFC57 ~ Banners And Flags; PDCC146 ~ Color Splash

A Sunday Morning Howdy!
It's a new week, a fresh start, a moving forward, a clean slate.  Aaaah.  It was good to see my dear friend, it was good to see the twins and their daddy, and now it's good to have Mister home, and be back creating in the Playhouse!
The CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week is to use banners and flags.
and over at The Play Date Cafe, we are to make a color splash using black, white, and lime.
As it happens, I cut some dill from my garden the other day and noticed that some of it had started to flower. Such pretty little flowers, I took a picture as inspiration for a future card.
And how fun it was to have that opportunity today.  I hope it's okay that I only used one banner:

~~~
I wish I didn't have to blow my nose.
Then I wouldn't put tissues in my pockets.
Then, even though I check every item of clothing like a TSA agent, tissues wouldn't end up going through the washing machine.
Then I wouldn't have 216 individual tiny whisps and whiskers of fluff clinging to all the wet clothes.
Then I wouldn't have to shake out each item of wet clothes like a mad cat after being caught in a sudden rain shower.
Then I wouldn't end up with tissue snow all over the floor.
Then I wouldn't have to sweep up all the little fluffs, which rise and twirl and dance around, mocking me.
Then I wouldn't lose the rest of my cool and start cussing loudly like a dock worker with mud in his Wellies, causing the neighbors to hussle their small children back inside, hands over their tender ears.
Then I wouldn't start smacking at the fliffs and fluffs with the broom, splat, splat, which, of course, doesn't corral them, but rather, sends them higher into the air.
Then I wouldn't lose my balance and tip over like a great cow, my wrist pulservating from one end of its car pool tunnel to the other.
I wish I didn't have to blow my nose.
~~~

Enjoy your sun day, wherever you are!  As always, thank you for stopping by to visit.  Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!

Too funny but I am happy to know that I am in good company with all the tissues! Beautiful card, so sweet and simple but still very stunning. You can never go wrong with green and black in my opinion...just lovely.

Hi Darnell! Thank you for your caring comments and for always putting a smile on my face. I only just faced the tissue issue this AM so you literally made me LOL. Your Wed post cracked me up.
Your card is fabulous, wish I could pull of this style of card as well as you do, mine always end up in the trash.
Big Hugs
Bernie

Ah, the age old tissue problem, a bit like the sock monster who only steals one sock........hope you didn't hurt your wrist too badly.

Love your card, great colours and I think it looks wonderful with just one banner.....Crafty hugs, Anne x

Isn't it amazing how those tissues can hide so deep in the pocket that you can't find them before the wash, but they can always make their way out in the machine! This is a pretty dandelion. I hope it doesn't put fluff on the floor.

I love that design, especially coming from the inspiration picture. Don't think the black with splash of green background didn't go unnoticed! Sorry about the wrist, but I must ask, were your legs sticking straight up when you tipped over this time?

Very classy colour combination! I always smile when I think about dill. A few years ago, when I was at university, I was queuing up for some nosh in our college canteen. On the menu boards, as it was Friday, there was the usual fish and chips, and then plaice with a dill sauce. The two lads behind me starting talking about what they wanted to eat. "What's dill?" asked one of them. "I'm not entirely sure," replied his friend, "all I know is that it's a fish!" Well I burst out laughing as I just couldn't help myself! You'll be worrying even more when I tell you that this was Oxford University!!
I don't have Tissue Tantrums as my husband and I both use cotton hankies... much softer on the nose and all I have to do is just stick them through the washing machine. Though I do have to iron them, I suppose!

Lol, I'm never without a tissue either and it's a right pain in the bum when one sneaks into the washing machine. A super card, a very striking colour combo. xx

Tissues...yuck...this was the first weekend on a long time that I missed tissues in the pocket. Then my darling husband dried the load, then folded. I'm looking at the stack of the boys' dark Tshirts with little white flecks wondering if they will even notice! (but no car pool trouble for me!)

I was actually thinking of you yesterday and it had nothing to do with cardmaking!!?? I entered the world of smartphones and one app that I selected was a grocery list that I just say the item and in it goes. It does amazingly well, except it had my entire family rolling on the floor with its attempt at "prosciutto". Somehow, it thought that I needed "pro shoe toes"!? My family decided it would be OK to just amateur shoe toes!!

Oh...love the card...anything with a splash of bright green is wonderful and I love it on the points of that die!

Oh my gosh you make me laugh, tears in my eyes again. I can relate to what you are talking about. Now I'll laugh eveytime I'm going through pockets of clothing before they hit the wash machine... and laugh & then wonder, how the heck did I miss one when I have this huge white fluff mess?

Maybe you should write a book
about life's little things that become big things ie.. wish we didn't have to blow our nose ? I'll be first in line to buy it.

Oh great card by the way, wonderful match to the dill photo and colour challenge. Have a great day ! Shirleyx

This is a great CAS card, Darnell. I love its wavy bottom.

You need to start buying posh tissues. Ultra balm don't disintegrate in the wash, and usually even stay in the pocket they're hiding in. I once (and only once) washed my son's mobile phone when it was left in a pocket. And tumble-dried it. Oops.
