I mosied over to Mojo Monday sketches. I used the colors in the Dynamic Duos challenge. I used a few scrappy snippets, which allowed me through the gates at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. And a card was created.
This week the Dynamic Duos challenge colors are subtle, which I would like to spell sahtil, but people would click off, thinking it was a cooking blog using exotic Indian spices. The colors are sweet together: certainly celery and pretty in pink.
Yum
The sketch this week at Mojo Monday was designed by the talented Carole Burrage.
Which I flipped, thusly,
and I hope that's okay with Carole. I'm not usually a rebel with the sketches, but I clicked on the sketch while in the middle of doing my neck exercises and it just so happened that right at that moment my right ear was on my right shoulder.
So I made this:

With the temps over 100 for over a week now, we have been dutifully watering our poor little plants once a day. Imagine more horror, then, to look out the window yesterday afternoon and see this:
I thought it was a goner for sure. But water is a wonderful thing. Here she is, perkier, an hour later.
Phew! Needless to say, after that, there was some moving around of pots to the shady side of the avenue.
I'm off to have my semi-annual ultrasound of my thyroid nodules. I had a lobectomy years ago and am growing a crop of nine nodules in the remaining lobe, which we are keeping an eye on. The Mister likes to say I had a lobotomy, not a lobectomy. That would explain a lot, huh?
Enjoy your day! To all my friends in the terrible fire areas in the western U.S., I'm thinking of you. Stay safe. As always, thank you for stopping by to visit. Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!

I so enjoy reading your enthusiastic post! Your poor little plant :( Great card today, thanks for playing along with us at Dynamic Duos!
I hope all goes well with the doctor appointment. We've had four from our extended family that had theirs removed completely for various reasons.
I really like that sketch and your card is beautiful, love the colour and all your elements.
I hope you give Mr a big thump when he says that about you..........hope it all goes well. Crafty hugs, Anne x
Amazing is your project! Love how you combined the challenges and flipped the sketch.
Simply beautiful. Love your intrepertation of the sketch.
What a beautiful water color looking flower. It's perfect for those colors, and I love the way you turned the sketch. I'm back home, and looking forward to catching up with your blog!
Your flower is awesome Darnell. Really beautiful.
A beautiful card! LOVE that large bloom! Glad your plant made it--good luck with the rest of the summer!!! :)
I like how you flipped the sketch, looks great. Good luck with the ultrasound.
I love how you used the Dynamic Duo colors. That flower is gorgeous. Hope you survive the heat. 100 degrees is too hot for me! Ann
Ah, to which you can say to the Mister - explains how I married YOU ;) lol I often joke that I need a lobotomy & a vacation, not necessarily in that order. Hope all the tests go well!
I love the colours of your card - they really are sweet together! - and that lily image is gorgeous :)
Fabulous card Darnell - love it to pieces, not in the rip, rip, shred sense of course!
OH is 'Other Half' - Ying and Yang and all that jazz.
Some British men dice with death by referring to their OH's as 'Er indoors' :(
Ha, just reminded me of a Tuesday Tale involving a roasting tin and my Mum in battle mode :))
Hugs, Di xx
It's amazing what a little bit of water can do to revive plants.
Have done the same many a time and thought they were a gonner. Card is a stunner as usual. Hugs mrs a.
AMAZING is the right word Darnell! Brilliant colours and you were right to flip the sketch, I always fiddle around with them and decide what fits best! When we were over 90F for those 21 days we were watering the tubs and baskets three times a day, they get so stressed.
Hugs
Brenda
This is so pretty, Darnell! Love the flower in pink and I think you did a fabulous job of flipping the sketch! You got all the elements put together in the right places! :)
As for the lobotomy issue...just remind The Mister that even if you HAD indeed had one, you'd probably still be more normal that he thinks he is! hehehe!
Thanks for joining us again at Dynamic Duos!!!
This is lovely ~ I have to remember to use my Penny Black stamps more often. This is a beautiful take on the challenges!
Gorgeous Darnell and I love your colours.

Hope the Doc visit went well.

Awesome pink, green & white. Was this a w/color flower? It's lovely...your plant looks like some of ours. I think DH may have let them get too far gone to rescue back to health...maybe try again next summer. TFS the lovely card AND the lovely planter too!
Oh your card is so very pretty. It's always worth reading your blog...I love your sense of humor/non-sense:)
