LIM WEEK 79 ~ COLOUR

Hey, Hey, it's a Monday!

I was going through some of my archived cards yesterday afternoon while Papa and the twins were at the park.  I wanted to see if there was something I could post for today, especially something that would be fitting for this week's Less Is More challenge hosted by the delightful Mandi and Chrissie!  This month they are being sponsored by an online New Zealand stamp company, Flonzcraft:

The LIM challenge this week is "Colour" and the colors are BLUE and GREEN, which I happen to love together.

I did find a card that I made back in 2004 which has never seen the blog of day:

Then last night, after the twins went down to sleep, I had some "Playhouse" time, so I quickly made a new updated version of it.  I CASEd myself!

There is room at the bottom of the image to put a shallow sentiment as a greeting and a ground, but Frank Lee, I decided that the blossom alone makes an impact and any sentiment below would look silly and draw fed by the blueberry bloom and leafy stems.  And, anyways, less is more.

BTW, the paper and the ribbon are a perfect match IRL.  Don't ask me why one element changes color and the other one doesn't.  It probably has something to do with the amount of chromium being displaced at the moment Curiosity made it momentous landing on Mars last night.  Have you heard about that?  Don't be surprised if  you haven't; it would appear that the media don't have a lot of curiosity about the event.

At least they are doing a super job of covering the Olympics which seems to just get more and more exciting!  Olympic Fever is everywhere.  As a matter of fact, the twins are at a fun camp during the mornings this week and the theme all week is the Olympics!  (Hence my ability to sit here and write this.  How thankful are we all to have summer activities for kiddies?!)

I forgot to tell you that we also have our granddog, Duke, for the week.  Duke is so easy-peasie and so sweet and he keeps me company.  Here he is reading along with my blog as I type.  He would like to see more cards with balls on them.
