Here's what's on mine:
My neighbor and dear friend, Rae, died over five years ago and it's been difficult for the family to deal with her belongings. Knowing that Rae and I shared the love of stamping and card-making, I was fortunate to receive many of her beloved stamps years ago. Recently, one her daughter's gave me the additional, and unexpected, gift of Rae's dried flower packets.
Aren't they exquisite? I will treasure them and take good care of them and make them into cards as Rae would have done. Making cards to showcase pressed flowers will be a new technique for me, so I'll have to research how to do that. Any tips would be appreciated!

How lovely to keep the memory of your friend alive Darnell.
We had a fantastic die cutting workshop in my studio yesterday with REDANNE demonstrating and teaching us the art of this fabulous craft. So I know now what you are all talking about. Today I am looking at things on your desks with a more understanding eye. YIPPEE !

What a lovely treasure! I tore a page out of a magazine years ago that had a gorgeous dried flower image. My printer/scanner went kaput, but as soon as I can, I will email you a copy!
Hi Darnell, what a lovely thing to treasure and remember your neighbour and friend. There is a lady here in the UK called Joanna Sheen (www.joannasheen.co.uk) who has been involved in dried flowers for over 20 years (I believe she used to teach) and she is bound to have a book on the subject. Hi Darnell - I was just popping around various blogs and came across yours via Pixie's Crafty Workshop (I think). Anyway I used to do quite a few flower cards and the only thing I can remember is having to be very careful not to put too much glue on them. Treat them a little like vellum - if you see what I mean.
What I really came by for is to say that OH means 'other half'. Hopes this helps lol.

The dried flowers are gorgeous. What a special gift!
The only thing I know about dried flowers is what most of my "live" flowers look like. I'm really not very handy with plants. I'd take a pic of my work desk, but there's absolutely nothing on it...I tend to clean up after every project and just haven't started a new one for a few days....can't wait to see what you do with the dried flower, though.
That is so special to have gotten her stamps and her dried flowers! I know that makes her happy in heaven! waving hi from the sandy beaches of Florida ;0
WOYWWzervania! I love it! I wondered if those were actual dried flowers you had spread out on your work surface. They are and they are fabulous and the fact that they once belonged to a beloved friend is even all the more special.
Wow those are amazing but also very precious too, how lovely to have been given them. Can't offer any advice on how to use them though. I used to try pressing flowers when I was little, often with very mixed results, and often with interestingly coloured pages in the books I'd used too! That didn't always go down too well I can tell you!! Pop back tomorrow for the complicated looking cards that are not!!

The flowers are lovely. I used to make window cards and put the flowers in a clear bag with the sentiment inside. This way, the flower can be used again. dani#33
Fabulous gift to receive, so precious. Years ago I 'dabbled' in the flower pressing thingy with mixed results, my hubby even made me a flower press but it wasn't used much. Have now left that phase behind....sorry.

hello trouble! Yes, I'm back and I want to see what you've been up to in my absence! Well first of all I can see some beeyoutifull dried flowers. What a thoughtful and sweet thing for your friend's daughter to do. I'm sure these will be treasured and used wonderfully in your crafting. Then we have a delightful Dynamic Duos combo... I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was picked out for a mention as that flower is absolutely stunning. Hope your ultrasound went ok. Next comes the sweet fur and feathery combination... Socks likes the sounds of fur and feathers by the way but I genuinely don't think he's quick enough to catch a bird! And lastly, but not lastly, an eyecatching birdie with fantastic backing papers. Now I have two questions.... did you survive your trek up Laundry mountain and into Cooking Cavern? and where is my chocolate ice cream reward?
