Good Morning, Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Today is Rachel's birthday! She is our DDIL, mother of the twins, and wife extraordinaire to DS. Happy Birthday, honey, and many, many more!!
I made a fun fall card for two challenges. The CAS sketch came from Freshly Made Sketches (#54), designed by the talented Jennifer T,
and the colors of pumpkin and moss, with some wine, came from The Play Date Cafe (#151):
Taken together, I made this:
I'm sorry the burgundy wine cardstock looks purpley brown in the picture. IRL, it matches the leaf. I used a brand new (to me) Fall Leaf Trio die cut and stamp from Memory Box, which I lah-ove. I sponged the inks on a glossy panel, clear embossed the stamp, and then cut it out using the matching die.
The slightly patterned background paper was made by stamping the image with Versamark and then resist-sponging with chalk. Oh, and I snipped a few pippets, too, so I am linking up to Pixie's Crafty Workshop (#40).
I think maybe "happy autumn" would be a better sentiment than "happy fall." At my age.

It was a Harvest Moon watching over us this past weekend. Did you see it? I was on the phone with my sister, Diana, who lives way over on the other coast, and we both looked at Mr. Moon at the same time. I love that. Weather permitting, the moon shines on everyone, free of charge, and magnificent!
According to the Farmer's Almanac, the Harvest Moon is the full Moon nearest the Autumnal Equinox. I'm not sure where that is, but it might be behind McDonalds on First Street.
What a marvel. This month the moon will be full on October 29th, which (if it isn't raining or cloudy) will be perfect for all the little Trick-or-Treaters.
I'm over the moon to welcome two new followers! Please take a little time to visit Deborah of Deborah's Gems and Lucille K. of White Points. Thank you, ladies! We are very fortunate to be connected to such talent!
Enjoy your day! As always, thank you for stopping by to visit. Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment!

Hi Darnell, I didn't really notice the 'happy fall' bit until you said......but I do love that Memory Box die and the way you have coloured the leaves - tis gorgeous. I love Autumn! Big crafty hugs, Anne x
Hi Darnell! What a lovely fall card! Beautiful layering of the leaves. Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
Your leaves are fabulous Darnell!
Well, now that's what I'm going to think every time I see "happy fall" - gosh, that would make a great get well card, wouldn't it? lol
Love the leaf trio - and the fab multiple inks :)
...behind McDonald's on First Street...girl you crack me up! Love the leaf treatment results. I thinkin' that you just sold me on the MFT Leaf Trio dies!
Happy Fall was just a sentiment...until I read your post (SOL...snort out loud)
Once again I am apologising for not visiting for a while (had a virus but managing now to craft and comment but is still stopping me from cleaning cooking washing up hee he)Love the colours and the resist technique that you have used here Darnell x
Lovely fallen leaves. Wine with pumpkin moss, sound like a tasty vegan dish.
Love the shading on your leaves! Sadly, I missed the moon! Thanks for playing with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
Great card Darnell and I love those leaves. Di xx
Beautiful leaves and a lovely card. Happy autumn might sound better, but it wouldn't fit so perfectly on your sentiment tag! I like that green frame. ann
What an absolutely gorgeous card. I just love the color combo you used to create the fall leaves embellishment. I remember about 9 years ago I moved to NY from Louisiana and the hubby took me out to Lake Placid during the fall season. We stopped along the way to pick up beautiful colored leaves. I still have them today pressed in a scrapbook.
What beautiful leaves, Darnell! I love stamps with matching dies! Maybe at our age, I shouldn't use that word, but I can't think of anything else to put in it's stead. It's been cloudy here so we haven't seen the Harvest Moon yet, but they were saying that it would be large for several days. Hopefully it will clear up in time.
The leaves are beautiful! I love the clear embossing and inking. The card is so pretty. The photo of the moon is stunning. Thanks for joining us at The Play Date Cafe!
Darnell, your card is just amazing! Your leaves are so stunning and the colors so beautiful and ready for fall. I love your moon photo too, so spooky!
Loving your autumnal card. I concur with your thoughts about the sentiment! LOL!
FAB picture of the moon too . . . love sky watching.
Hugs

I like how in America you use the word Fall. That is after all what the leaves do and look one fell on your card AND you managed to photo it too!!! Hugs Mrs A.
