I just noticed I got toothpaste on the sleeve of another sweater. I hate it when that happens. All the toothpastes contain so many whiteners now, which are fine and awesome for theethies, but wreck havoc on my towels and long sleeves. I don't feel like I'm a slobbery brusher when I'm brushing, but there's the efferdence.
Oh, hi! You are probably here for a card. I have one for you.
Since I've been out of commish, I've not made as many gratitude cards as I had hoped to make to enter in Susan Raihala's 2012 November Gratitude Campaign. I'm happy to be able to make another card for that today. You can find the link on her side bar over at her site, Simplicity.
I have used this week's colors from the ColourQ challenge:
And lastly, I didn't want to miss another week over at the fun CASology challenge where the appropriate cue word is "Thanks."
My card:
You might have to click on it to really see that there are two "thanks" cut from the die, one in the old olive and one in the soft suede. I carefully glued the suede behind the olive to make a shadow affect. I ate the pimento.

I want to take a minute to reassure some of my online and IRL friends and family that making cards, for me, is not 'doing too much,' but rather, it is soothing and relaxing. As long as Moe Joe is there to help me and scissors and fingers work together in harmony, and I don't glue the wrong side, or . . . if there is stressure of any kind then I promise to step away from the Playhouse.
Thank you, though, for your concern. Thank you for your comments and your words of support and encouragement throughout this past year, and thank you for following and being a fan, all of which keeps my juices flowing. You are like water, giver and sustainer of life. Mwah!

And today, I am thankful to welcome a new party-goer! Her name is Brenda Carswell and her moniker is "Iris's Mom." (Iris is her adorable little brown dog!) She is another follower who doesn't have her own blog for you to visit, but we are happy to have her visit us here!

Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy your
day. Change the ring tone on your phone to "wing, wing" for a week in honor of turkeys everywhere.
As always, thank you for stopping by to
visit. Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or
leave a comment!

ReplyDeleteCard therapy is the best therapy. Love that blue ribbon Darnell. Keep crafting. Thank you for sharing with us this week at both the colourQ and CASology!
ReplyDeleteDarnell, The only thing is I'm a Brenda not a Barbara. You would not believe how many people have called me that in my life. Really, no big deal. It's the drugs. And Iris is my little Brown Dog. That is her picture instead of mine. She's much prettier than I and I tell her that every day! Keep up the good work. Brenda Carswell
ReplyDeleteFABEROONY Darnell - hope you enjoyed the pimiento too!

ReplyDeleteYou are just too funny! I love your toothpaste story, reminds me of a few of the preschoolers that always seem to manage to get toothpaste on their tops. Not that I am saying you a preschooler or anything, LOL. Your blue bow is so sweet and what a clever way to do your thanks, layering it. I love your color combination too, and that little touch of orange. Fabulous card. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!
