Happy Monday!
Please help me welcome a brand spanking new birthday card challenge called Seize The Birthday! Created by the indefatigable Lesley

Contrary to what you might think, "indefatigable" is not a word I made up. I would hope I would never make up a word that is so incredibly hard to pronounce. A word that, while it means "unable to fatigue," sounds like it means, "Hey, Lady, your gable is really fat!"
In the middle of the Christmas Fall D. Rowl, we have twin grandsons who turn eight on Thursday, so this challenge came at a perfect time for me. I made them quick cards which I need to get in the mail.
Their cards look like little store fronts, don't they? A fun double downtown store front of robot toys! I half-cut through a circle die for the bottom of the card front and then drew another circle on top, which I hope they (and you) will recognize as the number 8.
I thought you might enjoy seeing one of our all-time favorite pictures of the twins, back when they were a few months old, which seems like just yesterday. My DDIL is even more beautiful and she still has incredible upper body strength!
You can't help but chuckle at this picture, which is just what we need!
~~~
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy your
day.
As always, thank you for stopping by to visit.
Special thanks to you if you take the time, at this busy time, to join as a
Awww..!!! What darling cards, which I'm sure the little fellas will enjoy very much. Very clever cards! And that photo just cracked me up! We have twin boys too, only, they are waaaaaay older than 8! Bev
ReplyDeleteOh Darnell the cards are beautiful and they will love them even more knowing you made them. The photo is so funny, your DIL must indeed have incredible upper body strength but the best bit is the way the twinks are smiling at the camera! I prefer your definition of indefatigable (have I spelled it correctly?). Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun photo they look so cute and enjoying themselves too. Great card for them both.
ReplyDeleteOK, that photo is just too awesome! I love everyone's smiles - and I remember catching my oldest by his overalls & holding him just like that! Cheeky little guys :)
ReplyDeleteI love the robots on their cards - robots + boys are a perfect match :)
Happy 8th b-day to those cute twinks of yours, and they'll surely love their cards ;) LOVE the photo of those giggling boys!! Too much fun :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined us for our first link party on Seize the Birthday.
Looking forward to seeing you for our first challenge in Jan :)
Darnell, these cards are just too cute and how sweet to mail them off too. My daughter still loves getting goodies in the mail and she is 20 years old. I love that picture of your daughter in law, too funny. I wonder if she would still be able to do that with both boys...LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat cards. Like how the bottom of the eight(how silly of me not to have cottoned on) makes the base for the card to stand up. Saw you had entered these into the new challenge too. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteWonderful fun cards Darnell and I love the photo.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards,Darnell and what a picture ... these two are just sooo cute! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteCute and clever....the cards, too! hee hee
ReplyDeleteCute, cute! The cards and the twinks!
ReplyDeleteLove how you turned the circles into 8's! What a great idea! And that photo of the boys in their mother's grasp is priceless!! You should attempt a "then-and-now" photo comparison and take a current day shot of this same pose (or as close to it as they could get!)
ReplyDeleteLove the cards for the boys. Love the picture too. I have twin brothers and I suspect there were times that my Mom wanted to do that too!
