And there's the first month of 2013 gone ~ whoosh!
I was going to start participating in Christmas card challenges all year long. Not. It feels like a speeding train.
Today's CAS class was again CASucational! I CASEd Julie Ebersole with white ink on a dark background and I got another Valentine made in the bargain. Yippididdle!!
Here you go:
EZPZ. I think it would really be stunning embossed, but this shows that you can make a perfectly happy card in less than five minutes. EZPZ.

I'm going to see if I can squeeze in a couple of makes for challenges tonight. But first, please help me welcome Jean Manis of Right As Rain, another totally adorable blog and artist! Thank you so much, Jean, for joining us!!

I love white ink on a dark background and don't always emboss. Sometimes the ink smears though and it has to become blowing snow. Or now I could call it chalkboard technique! Another lovely Valentine, Darnell!
Darnell, your color box white sure looks a TON better than mine. How brilliant to plan for another valentine card in the mix for this class! Love the card and love the HAPPY!
What Colleen said about white ink! LOL Your hearts look SO pretty on red, and I just love quick cards like this! NJ!
What a stunning card. Great idea to use that 'happy' sentiment. I love that one. You did well on your homework. The white on red is so striking.
Darnell,
This is really pretty. Love the heart.
sweet and totally striking card!!
I love your card Darnell and thank You so much for sharing these pictures. They really made me laugh ;o)
Sch a sweet card, I just love that heart stamp. Cute photos too!
Five minutes really? Great card ~ a technique I will definitely have to try. Love the beautiful heart stamp. Thanks for the smilie photos!
What a happy Valentine, Darnell, love your white Valentines! Hope you have a happy Friday!
Lovely card for Valentine's day and gorgeous photos,
hugs Tamara
Your white inked hearts do look embossed, the dotted background with the flowers raised, or is it just a trick to the eye the way the stamp looks in your picture. Beautiful card
Your card is stunning Darnell. I love the white hearts on the red background.
Thanks for sharing those fun photos!!
Sue xx
Hi Darnell, your card is wonderful and looks like it took a lot longer than 5 minutes! Love the photos, especially the cat one...they are all cute. Hugs, Annie x
You've absolutely rocked your homework, they'll be asking you to teach the next class!! You can keep the baby and the cat, but I'll take Karma any day!!
Hugs
Brenda
The white on red is so perfect here, Darnell ... crisp and precise. My whites (one pigment, one stazon) never ink like this ... the colour just seems to get lost. Thanks for all the updates on your class ... clearly fabulous ... another thing to add to my wish list! Anita :)
You know you have hit a certain age when entire years go...whoosh!!!
I love this card. It's a very detailed and beautiful heart - but the card is still so beautifully clean. Fantastic effect with just white!
Love the valentine card!
And those puns are just terrible, but that didn't stop us laughing out loud!
I'm so busy wondering if there was tongue involved in that last photo, I've forgotten what I wanted to ask... would love to know what kind of white ink (and what kind of smooth CS is that) you used? What great results.
Oh yeah, lookie there... the ingredients! Silly me. Hate to admit I actually had the spectacles on.
Your hearts look fab on the red and love them going off the edge. Loved looking at your pics too. x
