Greetings! There's a speciall on dubble letters today!
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for our fun Julia's What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday (WOYWW)! I've been having a crafty good time this week and some of that is a parent on my desk.
The Christmas stuff has been set aside and the Valentine stuff has been taken out. It's such a wonderful holiday isn't it? No one gets the day off from work, unless it falls on the weekend, but it is a day of love and kindness. And if you make cards, you get to make a lot of lovely love cards. It's just a winn-winn all the way around!
I have one of those lovely love cards to show you today, which I made for challenge #4 at Addicted to CAS (Clean and Simple). My talented friend Karen from Serendipity Dragonfly is on the Design Team and she is hosting this challenge. She chose the cue word, "Embossed." The sponsor is the fabulous Uniko Studio and there is a prize! Here is what I made:

The card stock itself is a shiny manufactured paper, debossed with butterflies. I've had it for years and have no idea who makes it, sorry. I wish I knew for my own self! Luckily, I have a few pieces left. The circle behind the beautiful vellum butterfly is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and the LOVE sediment is wet embossed with white embossing powder.
There are lots of days left to play, so I hope you get a chance to check out ATCAS and join in the fun!

Today is also me and the Mister's 42nd wedding anniversary! My friend, Ardyth, of Maskerade and I got to talking and she thought it might be fun if we started a linky for all of us to post our wedding photos! No contest, no challenge, no card, just your wedding photos. I agreed that would be a fun hop! Ardyth had a linky on her blog already, so we are using that. Please go HERE to my second post today to see my photo and find the wedding anniversary link to add your own photo! I can't wait to see yours!
~~~
Have a wonderful trip up and down the WOYWW hop and then come back and play in the wedding hop!
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy your day. LITS*!
As always, thank you so much for stopping by to visit the Playhouse. Special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower or leave a comment.
Saw previous comments about your wedding anniversary, so had to come & say congratulations. Like the idea of double letters being in, typing with one hand, thats what I've done most of for the last few weeks, I could have saved myself a lot of proof-reading & editing, had I known, :). Lovely card, off to post a wedding pic now Have a Great Wednesday, Hugs xx Shaz #64
Love your gorgeous card really it's so beautiful that butterfly is amazing so delicate.
Big Hugs and congrats to you both!
Wow, this party has been a lot of fun. I was showing my daughter the photos linked on Ardyth's blog and telling her how I guessed who got married in the same decade as me by the puff sleeves and hair!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have had a lovely day with some celebrations of the real rather than virtual kind!
My husband and I just celebrated our 23 anniversary on Jan 6th.
Thanks for your very generous comments about my art and crafting. I am thoroughly enjoying myself and tossing ideas around in my head as to what is my next step. So thanks for the encouragement.
Heather T
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! 42 years is quite an accomplishment. :) Love that your desk seems to be flaunting a bit of crafty messiness these days...looks like you've got several stamps out for play! Hope you have/had a marvelous anniversary. :)
ReplyDelete~Deeyll #163
Happy Anniversary! I followed a link over from Joyful Creations with Kim. Your butterfly paper was available as an embossed paper from Bazzill, not sure if it's still current.
ReplyDeleteFound the paper it's part of the Bazzill Wedding Whites collection and is still available.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniverary! Your "clean & simple" card is just beautiful ... just proof, if ever it were needed, that less is more (in materials, maybe, but I can still see the amount of work that went into that card!!!) Love Debbie #48 xXx
I have WOYWW'd lots of times but couldn't get round to it for ages so it looked like it was only my 2nd time ... am hoping to make it back here much more often now. I came across your blog ages ago but lost track of it so was delighted to stumble upon it this week and was very keen to follow you now ... I love what you make!
