Tuesday means a new challenge at the always delightful CASology. I was thrilled beyond words to win Week 28 with my drinkie-poo card, which means I get to be thrilled even more beyonder by the honor of being a guest designer! I even get a badge!
The Design Team is made up of a lot of sensationally talented card makers, so I am in awesome company! Please check them out and join in this fun weekly challenge, if you don't already! This week the cue card word is:
I know, right? But, wait, don't panic. Just think about all the fairy tales you know. There's the one, uh-huh, and then the one ... see, it's not that hard.
Especially if you make it personal, your very own fairytale.
Especially if you make it personal, your very own fairytale.
For me, it has to be about going from stamping in the garage to having my own little Playhouse. I often hear, "I am so jealous!" It is super cool, but I'm nobody special. I had to wait a long time before it happened. I had to kiss a lot of frogs!
Not in the usual sense of kissing frogs, of course. Thankfully, I didn't have to kiss a lot of frogs before I met my Mister Prince Charming, but I did have to be patient while we worked to make my fairytale come true.
Well, here, maybe if I wrote you my personal fairytale to go along with my card, that would explain it best:
The Story of the Stamping Playhouse
There was an old woman who stamped just for fun,
Stuck in the garage where she never saw sun.
Stuck in the garage where she never saw sun.
Ten years she collected, she stamped, and she dreamed,
Patience and longing were virtues it seemed.
Patience and longing were virtues it seemed.
Then Mister appeared through the cobwebs and grime,
His motorcycle, deftly, he stopped on a dime.
His motorcycle, deftly, he stopped on a dime.
"Look out!" she did cry, as she reached out her
hand,
"I'm saving those dimes to bulldoze our land."
"I'm saving those dimes to bulldoze our land."
Her Mister could see the desire in her eyes
and he wanted the garage for his own tools and dies.
and he wanted the garage for his own tools and dies.
"My lady," he bowed, his helmet so bright,
"I'll build you a Playhouse, t'will bring me delight."
"I'll build you a Playhouse, t'will bring me delight."
Fairytales do happen, it's true, don't you see?
It can happen for you, 'cause it happened for me!
It can happen for you, 'cause it happened for me!
Mwah!!
