Although I'm still taking my online class and I haven't done my funwork yet, I did finish most of my Valentines like a good girl, so I have time to join in the fun at Ms. Julia's What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday (WOYWW) this week. I missed you last week.
I've nicely staged my desk for you this time in order to show off showcase my pretty little Valentines. I just love making them cousin they are all about love and kisses. My friends and coworkers have ordered up a few, so that's a lot of them you're seeing. Some you've seen on past challenges.
Gosh it sure makes the desk look purdy!
If you're just here on the WOYWW bus and need to get back on, ta ta, and thank you for stopping and letting me know you were here. As always, I will visit as many of you as I can throughout the week. Thaz okay, right, it's not like your desk is going anywhere. Well, unless your desk this week happens to be your lap, in twitch case I will have trouble finding you.

I've made an uber, and I do mean UUUber, CAS card for the brand new challenge blog, CAS on Sunday. Basically for this first challenge, anything goes as long as it is a Valentine card. And CAS, of course! The title of the challenge is "Be Mine Valentine." The wonderful sponsor this month is Stampin
Utopia.
I just love how CAS (clean and simple) seems to be all the rage right now. Or else I just wasn't looking in the right corners of the Blogsphere before. Anycake, isn't their logo so fun?! And the Design Team, child, there are amazingly talented ladies on that team! I hope you get a chance to check it out and join in the fun!
For my colors, I am squeeeeaking through the door at Dynamic Duos, where the colors are aptly Valentiney real red and pretty in pink.
I think it may have been the CASOS challenge logo that made me think of this:
I used SU! real red for the card base, a mat of SU! pretty in pink, one giant pink brad, one tiny pink brad, and one fabulous metal charm from SU! That's pretty darn UCAS (uber CAS), you have to admit, but it screams Valentine.
~~~
Because of the stark uberness of this card, it took me seriously one minute to make. Between that, and those hearts, I just have to enter it into the current challenge (#11) at Paulina's clever 10 Minute Craft Dash, where the theme is hearts. The idea of the challenge is just like it sounds, make a card in 10 minutes or less and note the time. (You're allowed to get all your ingredients ready before you put together your card.) The lucky winner will receive a $20 DeNami gift certificate, so check it out!
~~~
Ladies and ladies, please put your hands together to give a warm welcome to our two new friends, Linda from Lin's Craft Corner and "Kris in Alaska." Lin is fairly new to our blogging community and I know she'd love your visit to see her wonderful cards. Kris is a huge supporter of many of our blogs; we'll be ready to return the flavor when she starts her own. Welcome, ladies, and thank you for hopping on the ride!

Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy your
day. LITS!

ReplyDeleteThat is a whole lotta luvin' on your desk this week! :) I love red and pink together and V-day, if I celebrated it, would be one of my favorites for only that reason! lol Your UCAS card is well done, too. Clean and simple but not underdone, if that makes sense? I've just seen you're on the Pinterest Master List for crafters and now I'm ever so curious about what on earth that means...I'll have to go check it out, huh? :) Thanks for stopping by my blog already and leaving me such a sweet comment. I think my exam went well, but since it had two essay questions it will take a bit for the Prof to get them graded, so I wait on pins and needles! And I have another, even worse, exam tomorrow! Which, you guessed it, I should be studying for right now! So, I'm off...hope you are having a great Monday so far! :) Deeyll #42
ReplyDeleteI love this card so simple, yet so elegant! And I love that you have such a happy blog, and that you are encouraging newbie bloggers. I will pop over and say hi to your friend and join her blog. I am a newbie too, maybe you can pop over and join mine! I have a newbie question...how do you link to your friend by just using her name? If you don't mind helping me with that question, my email is cathrynseguin@gmail.com. Have a wonderful day!
