I've a quick post and then I'm off for appointments.
One of my favorite card makers is Laurie Willison of Soapbox Creations. We are fortunate to have her as our Muse for MUSE challenge #7! Here is Laurie's wonderful card:
Whiling musing over Laurie's creation, I saw that CASEing it would give me the chance to use the two spring colors of dark green and yellow from the Dynamic Duos challenge:
I'm not kidding, there are tons of George S. cards on all of these linkies to provide you with tons and tons of card ideas!! I mean TONS. Check it!
Here is my take:
This time I took the liberty of being literal with Laurie's card. I've been wanting to use a real paper doily on a card and Laurie gave me the perfect opportunity. It's interesting that the layer of green ribbon on top of the yellow ribbon, made the yellow ribbon look orange.
~~~
Off I go. Why is that when you're driving and peering out the window for a house number or business address, you turn down the volume on the radio?
Why is it that I continue to use words like "radio" when I know perfectly well that many of you don't even know what that is. I'm like a living artifacture.
~~~
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS*!

ReplyDeleteI have a RADIO in my car & home and I also turn it down when I'm trying to concentrate on directions or in busy traffic. I also own one of those IPOD thingys as well. Hope you are doing well, your humor is always excellent, Shirleyx

ReplyDelete{and now I'm going to go crank up the radio, because you turned it down so low I can't hear it!}
Diggin' your dainty doily darling! Your colors are gorgeous. I have recently seen two cards using kraft and yellow and have decided that this is only color combo that breathes life into the kraft card stock! Especially with the perfect little pop of green. Love it!

ReplyDeleteI know what a radio is! Still love to listen to one, and my favorite station is, of course! 50's on 5! (well I sometimes like 60's too!) This is a marvelous CASE of the inspiration card. Love the sentiment...how perfect. Your lovely card reminded me that I have that SU doily which I've not used yet. Arggh. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteBold, bright and beautiful. I just can't make the kraft color work well for me...and then I see this, and figure, hey, Darnell's got it goin' on, so do something else. You are the krafty queen (to the tune of Dancin' Queen on the radio). This card is just plain FUN! Bev

ReplyDeleteGreat take on the Muse. And great job with those colours, which I find very difficult, because too much of them and you end up with a Green Bay Packers card!
