We've whooshed all the way back around to Saturday!
Thanks to my friend Joyce, I found out why my posts weren't publishing on schedule. (One of my better "oh, duh" moments!) When you read this, Mister Papa and I will be on the sidelines cheering on the twins as they play their first day of baseball this year. We had a sleep-over at their house for the first time! I'll have to let you know how that went in my next post toasties.
For today, I've made you an Easter bunny card to enter in the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This is challenge #78 and the sketch is by the wonderfully talented Jen M. I turned the sketch upside down and I can only hope it is still recognisized.
I think I managed to hit the jackpot over at Moxie Fab!! I'm entering my card in The Ombre Challenge, The Chevron Challenge, and the Speech Bubble Challenge. I don't even know if that's legal; if not, I'm sure Cath will let me know. That's how we learn, Vern.
And thanks to Ardyth for the head's up, I'm editing this to add the CASology challenge (Week 36) where the cue card is "Song," and the song is "Here Comes Peter Cottontail!" I have the best friends ever!
Finally, I'm also playing in the current Simon Says Stamp Challenge where the theme is "Easter/Spring," with an emphasis on Memory Box dies (if you have them). There is always a fabbo prize at SSSC!

Bunny is whispering and trying to throw his voice off to the side because he doesn't want to startle you too much, what with him talking at all in the first place.
This card came about because I was messing around with the left-over chevron dies I used in a card a few days ago. I thought it was cute how they could be nestled in such a way that they looked like a fence.

And, fursure, when I see a fence, especially a fence made out of gradiented graduated ombre shades of pinkly patterned paper, I naturally think a giant bunny head should be peeking up over it, don't you?
And since the fence is obviously not in the middle of a city, shouldn't there be some tall unmown grass growing along the fence-line?
Thank you. I knew you'd agree.

I'd like to welcome a new follower, but at the time I'm writing this I seem to have lost one. Is this because Mr. Blogger is being a booger again? I know a couple of you have written that Mr. B has dropped our connection. Or have I offended? (Picture frownie face.) Or is someone just wandering about? Will I find you, like a lost lamb, behind a fence next to a bunny?
~~~
Speaking of Papa, you know how the twins call me "Bama." Well, when I was at my sister's, look what I found on the shelf at the grocers!
Do you think I have a case for copyright infridgement? A case of free preserves? Or would that be perverse?
~~~
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS*!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Playhouse. Special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower!

Dern cute little bunny! And brilliant fence too. You are sooo clever girlfriend. Well, you can persevere the preserves, because preserves are definitely not perverse, but since I'm called "grammy" by some, I think I need an award! (I'll stop now...) Anyway, you've made an awesome Easter card! Love it. Bev
Such a delightful card and bunny, Darnell.
Was your clock set to the wrong time zone?
I occasionally lose followers and gain some too - don't think it's blogger having an "epi" though we all know it DOES!!!
Happy Saturday
Kathyk
Darnell this is so darn cute. I love the eggie bunny and those yummy chevrons in the grass! Have a great weekend!
what a cute little bunny, darnell! love how you used the chevrons... a fab combination of all the challenges!!
Oh Bama makes jam? Sweet (yes, a pun or two)
Love the offset chevrons and yes, the grass is definitely a must have in front of the fence, unless you have a whipper snipper to take care of that. Cha-ching with the multitude of challenges .... one stop shoppin' always saves time!
What a fun card Darnelle, and the bunnie's head is like an Easter egg with ears, or is that my obsession with chocolate peeping through again!
Love the Bama jam - it would just have to a sweet strawberry for you.
Defo can't have a bunny without grass to eat!! I find my blog count goes up and down. I maybe gain two and then loose someone else. Some people only stay a while and then move on. Like being on vacation really. Hugs Mrs A.
LOVE your eggy bunny (and why not link up to CASology SONG - here come's Peter Cotton tail?) and the way you've nailed 3 Moxie Fab challenges with this Moxie Fab card!I hope you had fun with the Twinks!
Lovin' the pink chevron fence and the cute bunny rabbit, a brilliant Easter card. Hope you are enjoying your sleep-over with the twinks...... Hugs, Annie xx
Awwwww I love that cute bunny and fabby chevron fence you have created.
I hope you are having a fun weekend
Sue xx
Wow ~ five challenges ~ such a sweet bunny peaking from behind the ombre fence ~ a great Easter card!
Wow Dippy are you trying to set an all time record to see how many challenges you could enter with one card? lol Fab bunny, chevron fence, grassy card - love how you've intermingled the chevrons, they look really cool - and of course you had to have grass. Your sleepover sounds fun - looking forward to hearing more. Hope the twinks had a good game.
Hugs.

I worry a little bit about you ...seeing pink ombre fences and giant bunny heads!! But it's pretty darn cute and thanks for sharing!
This is so very cute. And, I'm glad that you can now schedule posts and then go off and do fun things like hang with the twinks.
Thanks for the chuckle, Darnell ... whispering ventriloquist bunny looks so pleased with himself ... d'you think he may be hiding the chocs ready for next Sunday's Easter egg hunt?? Sweet card, awesome challengitis! Anita :)
Oh what a cute card! I love the nested chevrons, what a great idea!
love Mags B x
Love your sweet card Darnell!
Now THIS, my dear, is pure and simply creative genius at work...don't even try to deny it! :) Love all that springy pink and I'm amazed at all the challenges you managed to cover with this one card! You go, girl!
After seeing this, I'm not surprised AT ALL that someone would name some preserves after you!
Thanks so much for joining us yet again over at CASology! :)
Your bunny card made me smile. :) And yes, Bama jam. I've bought it in Alabama. Ha, Bama in Alabama, bet they lay claim to it.
Cute card!
This lil bunny is so cute! I love how you combined all those challenges into one great card for Easter! And yes please to the Bama preserves. Got peanutbutter?
Love that little bunny peeking over the fence. Clever use of those chevrons too. Love it. Xx

Hi Darnell, what a great & creative Easter design! Love the fence from chevrons and the grass is perfect in front of it. I also suddenly dropped a follower a few days ago, but then two more lovely people joined. Happy Sunday! Shirleyx
Oh Darnell.. you've made a poorly lady smile with this one!
Cute card and cute post!
Eeek! That bunny is adorable and I LOVE the gradient chevron fence. Wonder if Luis would let me put a fence like that around our house? Hmmm... Great take on all the challenegs. :) Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
That bunny is just too cute...I'm trying to follow your logic regarding the chevron die cuts and the fence???...what were you drinking? LOL!! Then...I see the jars of Bama jelly...must be a southern thing because I've seen that brand most of my adult life....now I'll always think of you when I have jelly! LOL!
I love the chevrons behind the grass. What a cute image too!
Thanks for playing along at CASology this week!
