Happy Day!
Hope your day is going well. If you want it to go even better you can add an "s" to it and turn "well" into "swell." Isn't that an easy way to turn an adequate day into a fantastic day?!
Because I'm addicted to it, and rightly so given the name, I'm playing in the current challenge (#10) at Addicted to CAS (ATCAS) where the wonderful cue word is "friend." The word "friend" was chosen by the hostess for this challenge, the amazing Natasha!
And the generous sponsor again this week is:

I'm also entering my card in the always-popular Simon Says Stamp challenge, where the theme is "April Showers and/or Spring Flowers!"
As always Heidi will be giving away a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!
And here is my card:
I started with a white card base. I heat embossed the stamped word "friends" in black embossing powder. Over that I laid this beautiful painted vellum paper, which I've been hoarding for years. You see how well I'm doing at using up my goodies this year?!
Oh, thank you. I've always wanted a gold star licked and smack-dabbed in the middle of my forehead!

Where's Wellum?
Years ago I bought a pad of these beautiful painted vellum papers. I can no longer remember where I bought it and I only have a few loose stragglers left. I've Googled it and rode the Intertube from one end tother, to no avail. If anyone knows if this beautiful painted vellum (pansies and roses and tulips, etc.) is still made, I would appreciate the details. All I have found is vellum with borders of metallic gold or silver.

I had the thrill of finding out that my little Playhouse was featured in Craft Storage Ideas, an online source for all things craft organizational! I want to thank Hazel, from South Africa, for writing her excellent article. Hazel has her own blog at Play as U go.
~~~
Thank you to everyone for their wonderful comments on my cookbook yesterday and to those of you who have contacted me about a receiving a thank you card. The offer stands forever! For those of you who are raising a glass with me instead, "Cheers!" and thank you for that!
I will try not to get confused and start raising my glass before I make my cards, rather than after. If I accidentally do that and then make you a card, I spolgaize in vadance for any crookedyness.
~~~
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy. LITS*!
(It seems like there was something else I wanted to tell you . . . it will come back to me another time. I call those Little Sheba Thoughts.)
Thank you so much for stopping by the Playhouse. Special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower!

Gorgeous card Dippy. Love that vellum. I've had a bit of a look round but can't find anything like this but what you could do is to either print your own scenes onto vellum or you could also photocopy the vellum you have (with white paper behind) onto plain vellum.........might be worth a try! Thanks so much for joining the fun at A2CAS.
