CASology Week 42 - CARE

Hope you're having a most satisfying Saturday!

I'm off to tend to some gardening, but first I have a card for this week's CASology challenge, where the cue card word is "care."

I've been enjoying some mulling wine time, thinking about what my card would look like.  I decided I wanted to put a dog or a cat or some animal on it, because these critters look to humans for all their care.  I have several fitting critter stamps, but when I was looking through them, I remembered I had this sweet little stamp in my "teddy bears" container, and so, my card:

I took my picture outside, which washed out the white card base a wee bit.  IRL, the paper pieced white apron and the bandages on Bear really stand out against the white frame of the card base.

The sentiment is heat embossed with a cool blue and gold embossing powder that I've had for ages.  I've had the stamp for ages, too.  (I know, I'm supposed to be using the virgin stuff, but the old stuff just worked so well for my idea.)  In this shot, you can also make out that I used a Sakura clear star gel pen on the polka dots on the dress and bow and I put Glossy Accents on her shoes.

~~~
You are lucky today!  You are here just in time to welcome our latest friend, Sindhu, from trapped in craft!!!  Those are her three exclamation points; that's how much she loves this hobby!  And you will love visiting her that much, too.  Welcome, Sindhu, and thank you!
~~~

Enjoy your day!  No, seriously, enjoy your day.  LITS*!  If you're in need of care, I hope you are receiving it.  If you are a care-giver, God bless you.

Thank you so much for stopping by the Playhouse. Special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower!

  9. Your card is absolutely darling! Perfect for the CARE challenge; heck, perfect for anything! Amazing what some good 'mulling' *wine* can lead to! Love it! I'm still working on my homework that's a combination of what I want to do, combined with a few other 'players.' Have a wonderful Saturday evening; I'm off to admire your card for a bit longer!

  10. What a cute card - lovely colours. I dont have any stamps with "people" in them - mostly floral/butterfly types...
    maybe I'll grow and embrace the different genre's ... Mxx
