Papertrey Ink's June Blog Hop Challenge ~ Golden NBUS #11; SSS Summer Fruits

Hey there!

It is time once again for the monthly blog hop challenge run by Nichole Heady at her {capture the moment} site, featuring Papertrey Ink (PTI) products.  Here is the inspiration photo for the challenge:
June-Blog-Hop

There are doubtless priceless, limitless, endless, ageless, countless, timeless, matchless, sugarless (slap!) ways a card could be designed using a touch of gold or a lot of gold.  I had some beautiful NBUS (never-before-used-schtuff) ribbon I have been wanting to use since the weather turned to spring and summer.
Considering the ribbon has golden threads woven throughout the design, this was the perfect opportunity to use it for this challenge:
The sediment is also NBUS and it is part of the PTI "Harvest Berries" set.  I love the ginkgo images from that set and have used them a few times, but this is the first inking for the beautiful sentiment.  I thought it went perfectly with the delicious ribbon.

Take a moment and let those words sink in.
The card stock is PTI vintage cream and the ink is SU! ruby red.  QACAS!  Don't you think this would make awesome gift sets of cards, using different sediments?  And I'll bet if you stay tuned, you might even see that ribbon again on future Christmas cards appearing here!

~~~
A friend just pointed me in the direction of the current Simon Says Stamp challenge where the theme is "Summer Fruits," so I'm editing my post to also enter my card there.
Take My Word For It
Enjoy your day!  No, seriously, enjoy.  LITS*!
And thank you so much for stopping by the Playhouse.  Special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment or join as a follower!
What a great pairing of your ribbon and that sentiment. Know what you mean about the gingko leaves taking front row.
Hi Darnell you found some beauty ribbon for 1/2 price :) I buy mine on sale most of the time as well. And I also accumulate ribbon and then give it away when it's been around too long.
What a great idea to make a beautiful card from ribbon and the sentiment that indeed goes perfectly with it. Hope you are doing well, Shirleyx
What an exquisite, elegant, eye-catching card to showcase the beautiful ribbon and your smarts in using it Like center-stage designer paper! The sentiment is a perfect match! Brilliant! Yes, a set of these would be fantastic! Hope you don't mind, but I 'cased' your NBUS on my blog, changing it slightly to "KBUS" - kind of used stuff! See - you inspire in ever so many ways! Thanks for the always outstanding posts and the always delightful cards!
This looks good enough to eat! This makes me think of a posh jar of jam or a hamper from a proper farm shop - perfect and decadent!! :)
Update on OH's finger - it is healing, although he won't rest it/keep it covered so now the healing process is being compromised! Also, he has lost some of the feeling in the end of his finger so now I am going to have to drag him (kicking and screaming!) back to the hospital to check on the nerves etc! So, I am still cooking and NOT crafting so much - it's just not on I tell you! :) Thank you for your kind words though, I did pass them on ;)
