Oh, My Stars ~ 10MCD #21; NBUS #19

Another fresh week coming your way, led by the always provocative Monday!

I think Paulina's 10 Minute Craft Dash is such a fun idea, but I sometimes have trouble coming up with mojo for the colors, so I was delighted to see that this time she had a "Stars!" theme.
CD_21
To play, visit Paulina's Pretty Pink Posh website.  It's a kick!  I had so much fun, I played TWICE!

~~~
My first card:
I used a Darice "Circle Interlock" embossing folder on both cards (NBUS), so I embossed two half-sheets from PTI white paper and set one aside for the second card.
On this first card, the unknown DSP panel is a glossy white with pretty metallic silver stars, which was hard to capture in a photo graph.  I used the SU! word window punch and sediment and wrapped it up in a shiny silver ribbon.
~~~
My second card:
The designer paper I used for this card is from DCWV and comes in a sheet with a large circle pattern and a sheet with a smaller matching pattern.  I made the panel from the smaller design and I punched just one matching circle out of the larger pattern.  The sediment is from PTI's "Glory Be" stamp set.

I traced the star and the words with a Sakura "Clear Star" gel pen to shuzz it up a notch.

And that's two QACAS cards I hope you like!

~~~
Before making my cards, in other wise, it was a lovely day.  We met the kids, safely home from their vacay, had lunch, and transferred the Dukester back to them.  He was so excited to see those twinklets!
Since our heat wave finally broke, I was also able to do some much-needed garden repair. The only things that love the heat are weeds, tomatoes, and, oh, yes, this George S. cone flower!
~~~

Enjoy your day!  No, seriously, enjoy.  LITS*!

Thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse.  Special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment and/or join as a follower!

I just have to add how delighted I am for all my pals that Andy Murray won Wimbledon!!

That's amazing that you made TWO pretty cards in less than 10 minutes! Gee whillikers - it takes me 30 minutes to decide what I'm going to make and then another 60 minutes to actually make it! LOL Clearly, I wasn't built for speed ;)

Well my stars!!! These are amazing and so pretty. I don't think I've even made a card that fast....can't seem to get the brain in gear that quick. I do love these though!

Oh my! It's unbelievable to do cards that quick. Probly took longer to do the photos! Both are such fun cards!

These are gorgeous Darnell - they don't look like quick cards either - absolutely fabulous! Hope you have a good week Karen x

Love that embossing folder and finding papers that "match" it and the challenge is perfect! After a couple of reasonable weather days, we are gearing up for high temps again - any garden puttering is after the sun sets.

Delicious, Darnell ... that you made these cards in under 10 minutes each makes them even more special! Add the two together, they only just went over 10 mins ... wow! Anita :)

Two beautiful cards Dippy - love the e/f. Great sediment on the second. Hope you're feeling better now and sure the break in the weather helps....plus seeing the twinks! Must admit it's about time we won Wimbledon! 77 years since the last time, took place on 7th of 7th month, he kept breaking the other guys set on the 7th one.......weird or what? The only thing not to do with the number 7 was the whopping 40 degree temperature on centre court....phew!

Hugs.

Well . . . Darnell, I have to commend you on a job well done! I'm a slow cardmaker and I would be way too stressed to make one card in 10 minutes, let alone 2.

I love the white embossed pattern!!!

Good grief Darnell, I could not even make one card in 10 minutes - you are so clever - and they are both beautiful too. Just as well they were quick with everything else you had to do...... you must miss Duke today.. Hugs, Annie xx

Great cards, Darnell. I don't think that is a challenge I would ever be able to enter. It always takes me a long time to make a card!!! smile.

They are both beautiful! I love the design and the way you cut a window for the first sentiment. The Sakura pen is the perfect touch on the second. Thanks so much for your encouraging words, Darnell, I'm blushing over here!

I'm glad it's a theme this time too - I can make 10 minute cards, but the colours...they gives me fits! I especially love the sentiment on the 2nd card :) And my hubby, who claims to love the heat, was a total donkey all weekend when our temps were up around 100+. I'm remembering that next time he complains about winter ;)

I love the 10mcd....the theme ones are fun! You did an awesome job and so fast too! Live them both! It take me 10 min to tie a bow!
