It is the 25th of the month again already and time for another super fun Papertrey Ink (PTI) blog hop over at Nichole Heady's {capture the moment} website.
This month the challenge is wreaths.
This month the challenge is wreaths.
All the wreaths in the in the inspiration photo are elegant and beautiful. Naturally I went in a little different direction with my card:
The autumn sentiment is new and NBUS from PTI. I made my little Halloween batty wreath out of a mini cupcake paper! I know, right?! So that's also new and NBUS. I picked the cups up on a whim at a Richard's 30%-off-everything sale, just coz of the Cuteness Factor. I can't even tell you how goose-pimply I get when these things happen. That Serena Dipity is everywhere!
Here is a photo with the mini baking cups.
At a distance, the wreath looks a bit like a dartboard, doesn't it? Hmmm, I wonder where I can find mini darts? That would be a fun thing to play with the boys.

Today it is a thrill to welcome two new friends! Please meet Susanne Vargas of Keep in Touch, who is another fresh face in the Land of Blog. She has been making awesome cards for some time now and she has been a behind-the-scenes supporter of my blog, which I appreciate! Your visit and encouragement will mean the world to her. We all remember how scary it was to start this journey. Welcome, Susanne, and thank you for joining the party!
I'm also thrilled to welcome Tracey Fletcher King. I told you about Tracey in my post below. Please take a minute to read it, if you missed it yesterday. You will be blown away by Tracey's artistic talent, sense of humor, and optimism when you visit and introduce yourself. Thank you, Tracey, for joining us!

What a fun wreath...
love how creative it is and would have never thought to use a cupcake liner! :)
Love the batty wreath! Also loving the inked edges and mulit-colored sentiment.
What a fun Halloween themed card! Very creative, I love it!
The inkiness is so lovely on this cute card. Fancy using a cupcake wreath...love that idea.
I am currently making a baby banner and the colour scheme is pink black and white.
A damask, sort of Parisienne theme shower. I picked up damask cupcake liners to use for my baner but alas they do not work out...they may have to become flowers! lol
What a fun idea to use the cupcake liner Darnell, love the way it turned out! Classically CAS!
Pure genius Darnell, I'll never look at a cup cake liner the same way again:)

What a FUN find Darnell! I like the uneven inking around the edges! Great card ;)
Hey, I just met Suzanne too! Love this card - so out there. Reminds me of a kite in the sky.
It doesn't look a bit like a dartboard ... it looks like a very jazzy and fun wreath, how clever of you to come up with that! Love the way you coloured the edges of the card and the sentiment too. Hugs, Annie xx
Darnell, you are one smart lady! Love your use of the cupcake liner to make a Halloween card.
This card really caught my eye in my reader! Soooo CLEVER Darnell!!! Love how you repeated the colors in the cupcake wrapper in the sentiment.

WOW...what a find!
What totally impressed me is the fact that you took one look at these cup cake holders and the creative part of your clever brain starting jumping up and down, begging you to buy these cuties because evident design potential was immediately identified!
...I would have walked right past these pretties because to me, a cup cake liner = baking...something I don't do often!
Love the inked edges and the beautiful Kaleidacolor sentiment!
Darnell-You are one of only a few who could see beauty and a card embellishment in a cuppy cake case :)!! What imagination you have my friend-and you made it work-fun card and a great take !!
Hugs,Nessa xxxx
Aren't you just too darn clever!!! I only thing I use cup cake paper for is cup cakes...silly me! So fun and very festive.
Naturally, you did veer off in a different direction. I love that, Darnell!! Great idea to turn your sale cupcake liners into a wreath. Very charming!
So very clever and fun. I will never look at a cupcake liner the same way again.
Love this fun idea! I think We have those very liners at our house.
Love your take on the challenge Darnell! I do wish we celebrated Halloween like you folks do. As for those wreaths pictured I NEED the purple heart - no 8. Love it.
Sorry if I freaked you out. It freaked me out too.

This is a brilliant and fun idea to use a cupcake liner for a rosette! Bravo!
You just proved we should all keep our eyes open. You never know what will make a good card. I love the way you inked the edge, too.
Thank you so much for the warm welcome, Darnell! You are the sweetest!
You were really thinking outside the box with this card! Something I have trouble with! Very creative!
Brilliant, Darnell, sheer brilliance! I'm with Geri - cupcake liners are for cupcakes, which are a rare find in our kitchen, as are liners. Lesson learned: inspiration is everywhere! Your card is fabulous!! Your comment on my blog - heart-warming, encouraging and spirit-lifting, as always! Yes, I have a few blogs: the first one in 2008 was for the family reunion on my mom's side (interesting enough, my dad did all the research!); two others are bike-race connected (gee, what a surprise); another a 'start' in recounting on our trip to Nepal, and then a couple of school ones. Just me: c is the only 'crafty' one, and the only one that has comments, come to think of it! If you're really (as in REALLY) super bored, you're more than welcome to see the others - let me know and I'll fire you a link! Thanks for asking!!

This is such a fun card. Love how you inked up the sentiment to go with the colors in the liner. By the way, what does NBUS mean?
You are one...smart cupcake. Do you celebrate when you are feeling fine? I do enjoy myself and I'm so thankful. Be well
What a clever idea to use a cupcake paper for a wreath! What fancy cupcake papers! I love the sponging on the edges and the ombre sentiment!
Whoo, I surfed over to a new blogger, Brenda, (inkspiredtostamp) from Mrs. A (who found her through your blog!). I saw a lot of our bloggy buddies, and left comments. I was following in your big footsteps (well, that's a rhetorical 'big' you unnerstand, right?) with every comment. I was happy to see you were giving her some blog help. It's a great blog, sure better than my 1st efforts, and she has some lovely cards. Hugs
I know someone who would just flip out over those cupcake papers! Makes for a darn cute card too!
Love your fresh take on the wreath prompt Darnell!
Your revamped creative castle is SUPER!!

I see the first picture and I think you have done some sort of fancy paper-folding-rosette-doily-thingy - but it's a cupcake liner!! How creative!
