As you might have been fortunate enough to notice throughout Blogland, the 7th birthday party continues at Papertrey Ink {capture the moment}!
The challenge today was to make a card celebrating stripes, using at least one PTI product.
Stripes is just what I had in mind when I saw the current schweet design sketch at Retro Sketches:
In my giant stash of heart/Valentine goodies, I have some beautiful SU patterned papers from last year or the year before which made terrific stripes of LOVE across my card:
The PTI product used is the Soft Stone card base. The rest of the papers and the brad are all SU. It's kinda like I'm tricking you with a subterranian and limnal message. Do you LOVE it? Tee-hee.
Because of the design elephants, I'm required under Ordinance 439 of the Challenge Laws to hook my card up again with Addicted to CAS because the code word is LOVE!
And with City Crafters Challenge where the theme is "love bug" and we are to make a card with the word LOVE on it!
I'm just sayin'.
I know you will also LOVE joining in the fun! The links will take you to the challenge blogs where you will find wonderful Design Team inspiration cards (thank you DTs!) and details on rules, sponsors, and prizes.

New Friends Corner:
I have even more LOVE in store for you as you meet these three new friends:
Shelia of Ink, Paper, Scissors. Shelia is a card designer who has been blogging since 2011. She is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother in addition to being a paper-crafter whose cards I find to be cheerful and uplifting.
Angie of I would rather be stamping. Angie has also been blogging since 2011 and she is a very good friend of another friend of ours, Janeen. You will find yourself drawn to Angie's clean and marvelous cards!
Stephanie Keats of Steph's Shoebox. Steph is brand-spankin-new to blogging, so please leave her a little bit of extra love and encouragement when you stop by for a visit. She is multi-talented and I'll bet we are in for some good times as she continues her journey!

Welcome, ladies, and thank you so much for joining us!!

I hope your plans for Valentine's Day are going smoothly.
This seems like a good time to ask if anyone else is bothered by a TV commercial that ends with a couple lounging in separate bathtubs on the edge of a cliff. I mean, is it just me, or doesn't that seem to reflect that the product isn't working?
And anyway, who's going to schlep the hot water from the house to the tubs?
~~~
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy. LITS!*
As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse and special thanks to you if you take the time to leave a comment and/or join as a follower! Please let me know you came by, so I can be sure and return the flavor!
Umm.... what? Ordinance 439?! Crud! I just can't keep up.
ReplyDeleteOkay, what is the psychological difference over if you notice the gray LOVE first and then the pink one? Vice versa?
Separate baths on the edge of a cliff...... mosquitoes anyone???!
In the words of Tina Turner, what's love got to do with it, it's just a second hand emotion, or is it.. I want you, I need you, my hearts on fire??!!
ReplyDeleteFab card.
fantastic card today Darnell! Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my blog - they are truly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThat is a neat card and I too have the paper and used it this year. I wanted to tell you that your new blog photo is ever so cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card Darnell. I really like the graphic feel it has.
ReplyDeleteA bathtub on a cliff is not for me either - I like a warm, private place if I' m going to have a soak. Being vertically challenged, my feet don' t reach the end of the tub so when I try to lie back I tend to go under and that's not very relaxing:)
Hugs
