I am here with part two of yesterday's post. I hope you had a lovely sleep in between. Sometimes Blogger doesn't publish to my subscribers until 24 hours later, so maybe some of you will get two in one day. The other day one of my posts never reached my subscribers. Never mind, enough of them do!
My card today was also the result of watercoloring efforts for Virginia's View Challenge which I'm entering again.

Dancing in the Rain

I am also entering my card in another BRAND NEW challenge started by incredible card artists that you are all prolly familiar with. The challenge is called Time Out Challenge.
The brief for the first challenge is:
The brief for the first challenge is:
This fortnight we want you to be...
Inspired by words:
This is the challenge where we give you a quote, a popular saying or inspirational sentence to inspire you to create. And this week we have this very popular saying for you:
Dancing in the Rain
~~~
And if you look closely at my card closeup below, you will see that I hand drew two little 4-leaf clovers for you because tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and there is a Happy St. Patrick's day sediment on the inside. It also happens to work for the newest challenge from Addicted to CAS:
Where I come from four-leaf clovers represent good luck!!
And so, my card:
The image was watercolored using my SU watercolor pencils and Koss watercolor chalk with an aqua brush. It is much more subtle than the spritzing and splatting that results from using the acrylic block.
The "Toadstool" is a NBUS stamp by Purple Onion Designs (Stacey Yacula) and the sediment is from a NBUS set I got at the Expo called "Umbrella4you" by Stamps for Life. The "Raindrops" are by Designs by Ryn. The waters splats on the toadstool are from a NBUS set called "Splat That" by Waltzingmouse Stamps. Wink of Stella was applied liberally.
That took care of using up three more NBUS stamps and I love that SEVEN different company products were used in this simple one-layer card!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable card! Love that saying, too! Good for you to be able to use three NBUSs!
ReplyDeleteBtw, I first read that you had hand "drilled" the four leaf clovers and looked really closely wondering how you did that! Then I went back and read more carefully... Guess I shouldn't have had all this Guiness before wandering through blogland - it's not even St. Patrick's Day yet! ;)
Never heard that Irish lyric either. Will have to copy & paste that'n for next year. Oh what a bright spot you were to a very dreary, rainy day. A lovely way to end my Sunday pc time. Well, right after I go look at a few more posties. Hugs, Blessings & TFS.
