A Surprise Birthday Party for Happy Dance 'n Bev!!

We are gathered here today for a surprise birthday party for one of Blogland's Sweethearts, Ms. Bev of Happy Dance. You will see that her blog name features in the party scene below, but first let me tell you that this party for sweet Bev is going to be running for a couple of weeks and there is a gallery of all of Bev's friend's gorgeous birthday cards over at Ardyth's Awesome Maskerade blog. I hope you get a chance to make Bev a card and link up over at Ardyth's!!

One of the many delightful things you will notice about Bev's blog and her style is that she is a really huge supporter of other card artists and very, very often CASEs (copy and share everything) the work of other card artists in her posts and through her cards. So, of course, Hammy and I could do no less for Bev than to CASE one of her brilliant cards! Or, as I like to say "DJKASE" one of her cards.

Now are those not two of the best quotes?!! I would have loved to have  Mae and Kate join our party today!

For my card, the drinkie-poo is one of Leigh Hannan's Impression Obsession stamps (E2282), the sediment is unknown to me, and the little star explosions are from a tiny unmarked stamp. I used markers to color my cupcaketini and then I gave it a liberal washing of Wink of Stella.

I am entering my card in these challenges:

• Less Is More, where we are to make a one-layer card featuring beverages. A lot of you know that this party for Bev has been in the works for several days, so you'll appreciate how my jaw dropped when I saw this challenge at LIM considering I made Bev's card days ago! Ya gotta love Miss Serena Dipity!
• Addicted to Stamps and More, where we are to use markers to color our cards.
