Hello Everyone!
It's bedtime and at my age I need all the beauty sleep I can get, so I'm just dashing in with a card so I can squeeze under the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge, which is "Leaves."
Without any a dew whomsoever, my card:
I embossed one of my favorite stamps ever ("Hugs & Laughs" by Stampendous) in Stampa Rosa "Detail Copper" embossing powder onto a PTI vintage cream card base. My leaves are from a Poppy Stamps die called "Lorelai Outline Leaf" and they were cut from a piece of Tim Coffey paper from K&Company. Squeezy peezy QACAS card.
Since my beautiful limb of autumn leaves has three branches, I'm also playing in the current CASology cue card challenge which is "Three." I miss playing there when I can't quite make the words work, so I'm happy this one worked for me.
I'm also slipping in another entry at the last minute in the "Stamp It Blog Hop" challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for Stamptember.
Over at Words 2 Scrap By, the lovely ladies have an awesome prize. The theme is "To Everything There Is a Season" and since my card is reflective of the autumn/fall season, I'm linking there.

And, lastly, I'm entering Ann's "Happy Fall Y'All" challenge at The Paper Players.

Because it is so late, I will save my New Friends Corner for my next post, but I thank all of you who are new followers! And don't forget about the NBUS Challenge which ends on September 25th. PLEASE make sure you are checking the rules and a big thank you to all who have entered!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card there. Can't agree more with you on that sentiment. :) The paper you used for your leaves looks awesome. I'm guessing it is patterned paper. If it is, then you can also link this card to Virginia's view challenge, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteP.S. -Just noticed a line you recently added to your "About me" section. Yes, I agree on that too. :)
Oh Darnell, this is lovely ! That sentiment alone is the best, love the font and the stray leaf is such a great detail ! You leaves are stunning, great colours and fussy cutting!

ReplyDeleteThis is lovely Darnell. I love the sediment.

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous fall card Darnell! Love the patterned paper for your die cut leaves but can I ask how you adhered them? I am still trying to figure out how to adhere those fiddly, intricate dies to my cards. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful fall card, Darnell. The trees are rapidly changing colour here, and the winds are also ramping up, which means leaves on the trees will soon be leaves on the ground. Autumn beauty swirling around everywhere!
