Happy Day Hello!
Something different today ~ no card. I love this website called Our Beautiful World where the participants simply share photos of beautiful images according to a prompt. How cool is that? The only uncool thing is that I keep forgetting to play!
But not today, today I'm playing along. The prompt is "Colorful" and it was chosen by the talented Manuela. Here is my photo of our beautiful blooming hardenbergia:
Below are a few more photos. This photo is taken from the front of our house where the hardenbergia is planted and, as you can see, it vines its way along a trellis up to the top of the fence ...
... and over the fence and down the other side in the back yard.
That other side just happens to be visible from one of the windows in the Playhouse. Here is a view of it from inside the Playhouse looking out:
And here is a clearer view from outside the Playhouse. It's beautiful even on a rainy day.
Below is a close up of three more hardenbergia that we have planted on the side fence, next to the "Garden as Art" that I planted last April.
Thank you for sharing my contribution to Our Beautiful World. I hope you check out all the other enchanting entries and play along!

Some of you may remember how my succulent Garden Art wall looked when it was first planted last year:
And now, just look at how they've grown!
We didn't kill them! They are not only healthy, but it's fun to imagine faces and critters in the designs that are forming as some drape and others reach for the sky. Or is that just me and Hammy wot sees possibly a llama, and a spider monkey, and a ...

I really enjoyed this tour of your garden Darnell. The hardenbergia is lovely. It was also fun to see how much your succulent garden has grown.
ReplyDeleteThat is a breathtakingly beautiful plant! And your Garden Art is thriving under your care! Love it! So glad you played at "Our Beautiful World"! I haven't participated in a long time! Need to get my act together!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, such beauty and inspiration in your garden. That vine is gorgeous and I'm so thankful you shared it. Your succulents look fabulous. I'm a bit biased as my daughter loves them, but I thought the one looks a lot like a giraffe. :) Do you work out there a lot? It's so very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view you have from the playhouse. These are gorgeous flowers. Your art garden has developed into a true work of art. I'm so impressed. I laughed so hard when I saw you slapped me. That was so funny. Thanks, I needed that. And yes, I do remember a slap to grow on.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous colour that vine is Darnell and I adore the succulents too. I thought at first you had trimmed them into shapes like topiary, and I can definitely see that llama! x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo Darnell xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post Darnell. The Hardenbergia is gorgeous (I have never heard of or seen those before) and such a beautiful colour too. Your Garden Art wall is looking fabulous too - I saw an Alpaca because they have tufty bits on the head like your plant... I will go back later to see if I can spot the monkey! Hugs, Anne xx

ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous! I would love to see that out my window. Before you mentioned it, I saw the llama!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful! I love the rich purples and you are right! The one does look like a llama:). I love that you shared this because we have grey skies and lots of snow and tomorrow it is supposed to be a high of -15C
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Darnell, what a lovely garden....and yes I can see the Llama too! Carol x

ReplyDeletellama. Love the vertical garden. Thanks for the sweet valentine I felt a hug around the envelope and sealed with a kiss. Thank you. I don't know how you keep up...but you sure do make a person feels special. I'm inspired. Hugs C
What a beautiful post Darnell! It seems you must be able to grow everything in Cali! You must also have extra green thumbs :)
ReplyDeleteI would find it hard to leave the Playhouse with views of beauty that surround you. Thank you for sharing!
Oh, I see the Llama and a moose!
I saw the llama right away, then thought you would think I was crazy if I mentioned it. For some reason it makes me feel better about myself knowing that you and I think alike 😃
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you're so creative being surrounded by all that beauty! Thanks for sharing a walk in your garden!
ReplyDeleteSome fantastic photo's here Darnell, love the gorgeous purple flowers and the plants are growing wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for my card that arrived today, I am so sorry that I have not returned the favour as I didn't expect one and we do not really do Valentines to friends in England, well I hope you are still my friend now.
Hope you get lots of hugs and kisses too.

Beautiful blooms! I can't seem to grow anything...I think I have a "brown" thumb! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe color here is WHITE! Your purples are amazingly brilliant. Thanks for the smile!

ReplyDeleteOH Darnell these vines are just GORGEOUS!!! My favorite color and what a peaceful sitting area! LOVE the wall art too ... aren't you the clever one! WOWZA
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of your plants, dear Darnell. :-) In my country there is a snow in this days. Not especially colorful :-) Thank you for the link to this amazing challenge.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day, Sonja
Such beautiful photos! A real pleasure to see - thank you! xxx
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your weather! YOur flowers are so beautiful! and YES...I DO see a llama! Still trying to see the spider monkey. haha
ReplyDeleteDarnell, your Hardenbergia is beautiful - I do remember this growing wild around my childhood neighbourhood (we edge the bush) and I didn't realize it was native to Aus. It looks magnificent at your place and so does your succulent garden, amazing much nicer than a fence. Thanks for sharing your colourful photos with Our Beautiful World, Robyn
ReplyDeleteOne of the benefits of living in California I propose. Those flowering vines are gorgeous, Darnell. As for the succulents, they're like clouds. It's fun to see what you can make out in their shapes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful view you have outside the playhouse. Must be very inspirational. From my crafting room I've got a view of my neighbors house and there's never anything interesting going on over there! And I've always been intrigued with succulents. I've got a few in low pots on my patio and they seem to do okay, but I don't know how many of them would over winter here in Massachusetts. Some day I'll live in a warm place like you and have the garden of my dreams!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous post Darnell!
ReplyDeleteYou are so fortunate to have such beautiful vegetation!
Thank You <3
What a way to end my day...beautiful Darnell!!
ReplyDeleteDarnell...just a beautiful post. Love all your gardening, so so pretty. What a wonderful green thumb you have. I love it all, maybe on your off day you could help me??? Love the sweet giraffe you have growing too.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely, lovely colours. Love your hanging garden idea.
ReplyDeleteYou have lovely gardens, come fix up mine please?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. Just checked out that blog, will be following, thanks for the tip x
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful plant Darnell, and I'm going to show it to John to see if it will thrive in our part of the world.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Hugs

Wow, I think you are a very lucky lady to have your playhouse but also to have such an extremely lovely view from inside!!! You seem to be surrounded by beauty in all ways of your life!! Makes me so happy for you - enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteGot that llama right away. I thought it was trimmed to that shape! Be careful or that creeping vine might eat you up.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! This is a gorgeous vine and such a lovely colour. How clever of you to have it grow into a heart shape especially to show us for Valentines (pic 6). I spotted the Llama in your garden art wall straight away lol, but then I've always been able to pick faces and creatures out of clouds and patterned curtains etc.(not sure I should have admitted that!)Anyway a worthy entry for Our Beautiful World blog.
ReplyDeleteHugs Lottie x
Gorgeous, Darnell!! I miss the-almost-year round growing season in California! XOXO-Shari
ReplyDeleteOMG! I instantly saw the llama! Your yard is beyond breathtaking! The photos are like looking at a yard & garden magazine! I look outside and see a nine million foot high snow bank. You look out your playhouse window and see beautiful blooming flowers! Wanna trade houses?
ReplyDeleteWow!! Your flowers and succulents are just beautiful Auntie!!! I would to see beautiful flowers and plants like this in Feb. around here, but that will never happen unless I just look at your blog and dream that I'm in your nice sunny garden! lol Your gardens are just beautiful and what a view from the playhouse. I don't think I'd ever come in if that view was mine. I can only dream....Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeletePretty flowers, Darnell!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous! Fed up of seeing all white around :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for cheering up a dull winter's day with these gorgeous colours! Hugs Carole Z X
ReplyDeleteOh my, Darnell, what amazing photo's ... and such beautiful surroundings! Your plants, animals (including the llama!) and garden look perfectly ready to receive visitors ... transporter at the ready! Hugs & Bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteHi Arnell (and any other A's lol!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning plant. I'm guessing its not suited to the English climate but will have to investigate further.
I'm not saying what I see in your succulents in case any visiting psychologists treat it like one of those ink blot things lol!
Have a great weekend.
Ang x
I saw the llama right off! Beautiful pictures!
