Greetings on this fine Monday of a fine new week! I hope this finds you up and at 'em and rarin' to go!
I am bursting my buttons to be joining the Design Team at Stamplorations for Day One of Stamp Spotlight Week! (Well, in truth, it's partly from pride and partly from potatoes.) I have gotten to know the ladies on the DT and consider them all friends of mine, so it is an absolute honor to be playing with them this week!
Here is a look at all the magnificent stamps in the new release:
I think most of you know the lovely Shery who owns Stamplorations, along with her husband Dave. This is how Shery describes the new release:
Congratulations to Shery and Dave!
Today, our spotlight is on "Fond Expressions."
First up are two baby-themed sets that Shirley and I each designed. [Ed. Cool!!]
The Bee's Knees BabyBump features Shirley's trademark fun doodled images
with a touch of whimsy and sentiments in her handwriting.
Heaven Sent features images in my sketchy/hand-drawn style
and sentiments that combine my love of typography.
When I found out I was pregnant in late December, [Ed. Cool!!]
no way we were going to let a release month pass
without a baby-related set or two!
Shirley had the BabyBump set done last year
and she tweaked it a bit for this release.
Inspired by Shirley's BabyBump set,
I worked on finishing Heaven Sent in January
while fighting the awful morning sickness.
I already had the teddy bear and rocking horse drawn last year,
back when I didn't even know (or plan) on being pregnant.
So I went on to draw a few more baby-related images
and picked the baby carriage to complete the set.
Congratulations to Shery and Dave!

I chose the sediment, "Your Awesome Overwhelms Me" and made my card in honor of DT member, Cornelia's birthday yesterday!
Happy Birthday, Cornelia, and many, many more! Your awesomeness truly does overwhelm me and I wanted my card to be a reflection of your bright and happy style of card art!
Happy Birthday, Cornelia, and many, many more! Your awesomeness truly does overwhelm me and I wanted my card to be a reflection of your bright and happy style of card art!
If that doesn't wake you up on a Monday morning, I don't know what will!
And look at me, the person who said she wouldn't be getting into stencils! Okay, maybe it's just the paste I won't be getting into. Can you imagine the mess Hammy would make, not to mention how difficult it would be for him to run on his wheel with little cement boots on his feet! But, stencils, well, it turns out I kinda like stencils, she says, superrized. You can find this fun stencil here.
