Greetings!
Well, now, Monday wasn't so hard was it? I love to see you greeting Tuesday with a smile!
I am thrilled to be joining the talented Design Team at Stamplorations for Day Two of Stamp Spotlight Week!
Here is a look at all the magnificent stamps in the new release:
The new release contains several stamps celebrating pregnancy and parenthood. Today, our spotlight is on The Bee's Knees "BABY BUMP."
I just love the sweet little onesie and cardigan/jacket so I used them and paired them with both the "Congratulations" and the "so happy for you" sediments from the new set.
A friend recently gave me the sweet e/f from Darice, which I thought was perfect to use with the adorable baby outfits. I had some OAD pp with little baby-related pictures, so I stamped the baby clothes over the pictures and then fussy-cut them.
The upper left-hand corner was bugging the hamster, so we sat there stumped for a bit, staring at it. I walked the card across the room like I like to do because sometimes having a long view will spark an idea.

Sure enough, we thought, why not just cut off the offending bit in a swoop to mimic the line of the clothes line, which is a line I've never used in my whole adult life because we lived in apartments for many years so I got in the habit of using the dryer and then when we moved here, there really wasn't a place to put up a clothes line. But I hung a lot of clothes on the line in my childhood and a part of me misses that old-timey chore and the smell of those sun-dried clothes. Especially baby clothes.

love the card shape and e/f with these stamps!
So cute! The little touch of color is fun
What a sweet baby card. I love just the little pop of green. The embossed line in the back rocks!
Just fabulous! The baby clothes look straight out of an exclusive baby boutique, they're so trendy! And I love the embossed washing line. Thank you so much for playing with my stamps ;)
Love the way you stamped the outfits, especially the frog onesie, and oh my the swoop edge at the top of the card is delightful!!
So cute, those little outfits and brilliant idea to cut off the corner! Hurra for Hammy!
This is absolutely darling!! I love it all - especially the little froggy on onesie clothes with lovely sentiments!
Very sweet card! And how you solved the "problem" of the upper right corner was very creative!
What a darling card you made with that cute set. I love it!
Oh, Darnell! How sweet the card looks! I like white on white outfits of the suits! It makes your card outstanding!
Fabulous card Darnell. I like the way you shaped it and the embossing folder is perfect with those super stamps xx
Wow, that is amazing, at first I thought you were doing an MIM card along with the Stamploration! I had no idea there was a cool e/f that would make a line of clothes! Delightful card, Darnell! Hugs, Colleen
Cute card.
Hope you've had a good day. Sue
Adorable card! Great job with the design.
I still hang out my clothes...if fact, I might hang some out today.
I actually met one of my special long time friends that way, she was renting a place right next to us, and we both started talking over the fence when we were hanging out laundry.
The paper pieced onesie with the frog is perf!! Like the cutoff top for added interest!
Oh, Darnell, this is so sweet! Love how your card shape follows the washing line. Perfect baby card! Hugs xxx
Completely adorable and the the E/F is almost the same size as the onesie and jacket.Think your choice to elimnate the corner with a swoop is genius.
Gorgeous make Darnell, so cute..and I love the swoop! Carol x
Very clever. Love the stamps and what a great EF.
First up, congratulations on your GDT spot. Your card is so cute and wow, what a clever idea for the top, it looks so effective and completely fabulous!
Like you, I remember pegging out clothes when I was young, I loved it in the winter because my Dad's long johns would be frozen and I would 'walk' them into the house - great fun - thanks for the memory! Big hugs, Annie xx
Awww, this card is just darling Auntie! I am loving how you and Hammy came up with the left corner bit, looks really neat! I so love these stamps. I also love to hang clothes out to dry in the sun and breeze. Being out in the country, I have plenty of room to hang out. Love the smell of sun dried clothes! lol Hugs, Brenda
This is scrumptious, Darnell. I can't believe you had an ef that went so perfectly with the stamp set. And then to use paper with tiny prints for the shirts. Genius, I say!!
Clever way to cut the corner, Darnell! This card is just too cute. I love the smell of sun-dried clothes, too.
Absolutely adorable on every level, Darnell! Baby stuff...so cute! I miss having a clothes line (another 'something' not encouraged in our small mountain town, but given the size of the ravens, perhaps a good thing) *grin*
Hugs~c
Wonderful colors, beautifully decorate children's clothes. Unusual and surprisingly successful card shape! Great card for happy mothers.
Regards,
Bozena
Great card, brilliant idea about cutting the corner and a lovely embossing folder.
Glad to have you back Darnell.

I like this, Darnell! What a fun way to do the corner - I think you'll be starting a trend! Gorgeous stamps and EF!

Really love the swope to the top of the card, so dynamic and fun. I adore the clothes line itself! I miss it from my own childhood too! Thanks so much for sharing!~kim
What sweet baby clothes, Darnell! You and Hammie did good with that swoop! I believe you've started something and we'll be seeing swoops all over blogland!
LOVE the embossed onsies! Darling card.
Hi Darnell
I am the same as you. I pop my cars down an look at it from a distance. . . . Sometimes' I even go out of the room and come back in again lol!
Wonderful card. Love the shaped top.
Best wishes.

Apologies for the typos but blogger was being a bad boy again!

Super Love this card!! What a fascinating and way cool idea to cut the card along the lines of the clothesline!! GENIUS!!! Adds to the sweet coolness of this awesome baby card!! Love that embossing folder - so cute!! Thanks for the great ideas!! I am thinking of you and wishing you and Hammy well!!!
WOW this card is sooo cute!!!!! LOVE IT!!
Oh whew! When said you were featuring a pregnancy card...well, I thought..... Anyways, a very cute card. Especially like the lopped off corner. Oh yes, hanging out the wash and bringing in frozen sheets and rehanging over the wood burner with mops at the ready....fresh smell? Smelled like sweat. :) :)
What an adorable card! I love the little baby outfits and the clothes line! Great ideas here!
Another super GD creation! I adore the 'clothes line swoop' that you and Hammie created! It seems to draw the eye to the sa-weet ef (which I've never seen up until now!). LOVE the softness of the font - so a-pro-pro for welcoming a wee one!
BTW...I'm totally an old fashioned Ukrainian girl...I hang clothes out all the time. Don't have a clothes line, but the frame of the Gazebo works perfectly! Nothing more comforting than snuggling into fresh air dried bedding! Especially in winter!
Love what you did with the shape of the card, following the line of the clothes line. Great card.
Its pouring down, bucketing down here. My washing that wasnt brought in before the storm started two days ago is just hanging there so heavy with water its a wonder it hasnt pulled down the clothes line all together. My towels are actually touching the ground they are so heavy. Nothing like having to wash everything twice, just need a break in the storms.
Your little onesies are adorable with that paper!! I also love how you cut the card to mimic the line of the clothes line. Looks FABULOUS!!! Awesome design!!
What an adorable card. I love the shape and those baby clothes are so cute! xx
Really cute Darnell. Unusual shape for a card but it fits perfectly. Nicely done.
Hugs and Blessings

Seriously? Who else would think to cut the card corner to mimic a clothesline?!? Genius. Love this sweet card, Darnell.
Darnell, there is so much to love about this precious creation! The card shape is truly inspired and I adore the baby clothes throughout! I just want to hug the froggie onesie! Wonderfully done as always, my dear friend! Have a twinkly night. :o)

Karen

That Hammy is so clever... oh such a sweet little card, D. I would hang my sheets on the line, if I had one, and didn't live in the middle of the woods!

So delicious, Darnell ... that cute little frogged up onesie and sweet pea jacket are adorable ... and gorgeous with that fab embossing! Have never had a dryer (is that an eek moment to admit that?) ... everything goes on the line ... that way there's no ironing!!! Hugs and Bisous Bisous, Anita :)
Super sweet. No clotheslines for me. Bird poop.
Well your angles are certainly unexpected! First the cut off corners and now the swoop-de-loop on this sweet creation. Your mind works in fabulous ways, Ms D.

Love the way you cut that corner off. Such a cute card. I often look at my cards in a mirror cos that seems to give a different perspective to see what's missing. Hugz
What a neat idea, cutting off that corner with a swoop. That e/f is perfect with that stamp set. I really like the pp you used and green is such a great color for a baby card.
