Hi! How's it go'N?
I think one of the brightest flowers and, hence, one of the brightest manmade colors is fuchsia. And BTW, am I the only one who spells that word wrong every.single.time? Good. So you'll understand when you see that I spell it fusha from now on.
Which brings me straight to the two fusha cards I have for you today. These cards were speciphysically made for the Happy First Blog Birthaversary over at AAA Cards! Thank you, ladies, for a year of fun-filled and challenging challenges!!
My cards for you:
The flourish embossing folder by Darice is one you've seen before. It has an adorable owl sitting underneath that cupcake. It just seemed to make a perfect embossed corner for my fun foam cupcake and I don't think he'll mind. I mean, if I was going to be sat on by something I sure wouldn't mind if it was a cupcake!
The candle and cupcake dies are by Serendipity Stamps and the NBUS sediment die is by Winnie & Walter.

And my inside-out twofer:

Here is the photo inspiration for the birthday linky party and hop! I hope to see you there!
I'm also entering the Just Us Girls trend week challenge "Embossing" and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Let's Get Sentimental."

Speaking of fusha, it's time we had an update on the garden wall:

ReplyDeleteHow fun that you were able to meet up with your friends. Visiting is always so fun!!
These are awesome! Love both the designs :)
ReplyDeleteI reckon fushcia [have I spelt it right???!!!} has to be a French word, eh? Anyways, they're very pretty....almost as pretty as those cup cakes which are almost pretty enough to eat! My fave is the white [r] one. Only cos I can't DO white cos it gets dirty on me!! And go you, meeting scrappy friends. One of THE biggest joys in life [as would be seeing your sis!!!]....have a good one, FUSHA girl ;)!!
ReplyDeleteI love your two white on pink and pink on white cupcake cards Darnell and the embossing folder is the perfect backdrop. Well, well, thats what Mary was up to when she said she was going on a short trip and how nice to get to see Bonnie too. What a fantastic threesome you make and by the look of the smiley faces you had a great time. x
ReplyDeleteThese are full of happiness and fun Darnell!! WOWZA to your pretty garden wall. You have got a green thumb lady...of is it the Mister!?! Yes, the three of you are cute as buttons!
ReplyDeleteOh these are so sweet! Love your cleverness in perching that scrumptious cupcake over Mr. Owl. This is a very versatile EF and it's nifty with your foamy cupcake. Liked both of these, and certainly enjoyed seeing your lovely wall of bright, beautiful flowers, so TFS. We had such a good time & it was so delightful to meet you, your lovely sister and Bonnie & Bruce. I'm so complimented to have been invited and Mr. said he had a good time too. When can we do it again! What a rogue's gallery we are in this piccie! You enjoy the rest of your time, and big hugs to all of you! TFS & Hugs all round.

Great embossing and if I were an owl, I'd be happy to go, crushed by a cupcake.
Also, love your ceanothus (California Lilac) behind your cards. Mine old one has died so its nice to see a healthy specimen, as well as the 3 healthy specimens in the other pic :-)
