Well, hi, there you are!
I have been having the dreaded intermittent computer cable interruptus this week and I've missed you! Worse, I wasn't able to catch up with most of you as I had planned because the crazy arrow just stuck there trying to find you, going round and round and round. I actually did most of this post a day ago, but I'm only now able to publish (I hope).
This has happened to all of us, I imagine, and it's sobering to realize how attached we are to the umbilical computer cord, wireless or not. The worst situation I know of is a friend in the UK who has been without reliable connectivity for SEVEN WEEKS. I shudder to think!
Okay, let's do this before I lose you. Sparkle is the theme of my cards today. First up is a Christmas card.

Okay, let's do this before I lose you. Sparkle is the theme of my cards today. First up is a Christmas card.
I actually made this fun card at the FISA with the BABES last October, but it's never been posted. I used SU silver sparkle paper for the base and the tinsel was cut from the same paper using my die from Memory Box called "Tinsel Ropes."
I'm sorry I don't remember who belonged to the stamp or e/p, or from whence they came. What I do remember now is that I meant to buy that sediment and never did. It goes so perfectly with my die.

Now let's come back to the future and look towards this month's holiday of Father's Day.
All daddy folk like to go zoom zoom in cars (at least in their heads) so this QACAS card speaks to that. The steeply sloped hill was made with a Spellbinders die, "Curved Borders One." The sediment is from Imaginations, surgically cut and rearranged to better fit the design.
The fancy red shiny sports car is a Stickopotamus sticker. This closeup shows a tiny bit of the brilliant glittery shine.

Hi Darnell
I admire your work
gorgeous cards
have a lovely day
hugs Tamara
Sorry to hear about the interruptus, glad you seem to be working again now though! I love that sparkly card and you are so right about the sentiment, it is perfect. It seems we have Father's Day in the same month on both sides of the ocean - the sparkly car is brilliant - and one I would not mind owning, if only we had the weather to be able to drive around topless (the car, not me - lol). Big hugs, Annie xx
Fab cards.
Hope your internet doesn't play up any more.
Enjoy your day. Sue
Such fabulous cards as always Darnell!
We just went away for a week, and there was no internet, wireless or otherwise where we were. And you know what? It was *bliss*. We actually saw the teens for more than 5 minutes each day, and they even *shock!* *horror!* ventured outside!
I've decided that when I'm rich and shameless, I shall buy myself a little cottage in a place that's never even heard of internet, and I shall be a very happy person (providing there's a craft room, naturally!) x
Fab cards Darnell, know how frustrating t'internet can be. We forget that in the past we had to wait for the whirling and beeping to finish before we could see a page! The broadband around her is bad, especially around 4- 5:30 pm, it's just not worth the hassle to even try! The downside of living in the English countryside!
Enjoy your day! x
Fantastic cards! Sorry haven't been around either the past month - will get cracking again :) especially if this wind doesn't die down soon - horrible to go outside!
Darnell these are fabulous - love your sediments on both cards - especially the surgially altered one - I do that too ;-) it's fun.
I think I may have some withdrawal issues with the internet in some form or another!!
Blessings
Maxine
Hi Darnell, hope the internet will stop troubeling now!
Your Christmas card is so brilliant...love it.
The father's day card is gorgeous too...love how you let the car go down the hill!
xxx Margreet
FAB twinklies from you today - sorry to hear about the computer cable gremlins getting in the way - hope you've not been feeding them after midnight again!
Your unknown sentiment sounds like the sort of thing Margaret at Sparkle 'n Sprinkle might produce .... possibly?
Happy Thursday ..... hope your seven week pal soon gets sorted too
Kathyk
Fabulous cards!! I love that memory box die and use it for all sorts of things ... The Father's day card is terrific!! Brilliant design! I hope your internet settles down ... it just would not be the same without Darnell Posts!
Great makes Darnell and glad you have had connection for long enough to post them!! xx
Hello Darnell: I want to first thank you for your sweet comment on my Merry Monday card, each word really makes me so very grateful.
I love your cards, the tinsel one is just so pretty and that sentiment is unique and fabulous. The card with that flashy, red sports card is just so perfect for Father's Day, what guy doesn't want a sporty car like that one, heck!! I want a car like that, LOL!!
I feel your pain with your Internet troubles, I'm from the Baby Boom generation and all of this techy stuff scares me, I don't want to know how it works, all I want is for IT to work, like when I turn my car on, all I want to do is turn the key and go, never mind how or what makes it move, all I know is that it needs gas.
I just ADORE your stamping place, it's just the most charming, the most delightful, the most gorgeous stamping place I've ever seen, what a wonderful tour of the inside, thank you so much for sharing. My stamping place is one of the bedrooms in my house, inside I have some of the things that make me happy, I hope you had a chance to see it, I posted the pictures on May 20th.
Ok, this comment is turning into a letter, LOL!! Thank you again so much for visiting my blog and for your sweet comments, I hope you come back. I'm looking forward to the next Merry Monday Challenge.
Many paper hugs.
Maria.
Great cards, Darnell. I love all the sparkle. That sentiment is awesome - my tinsel always seems to get in a tangle ;)
Sorry about the computer problems Darnell and hope there will be nor more interuptus.
Great cards as usual my friend. Love the sparkle against the black card and the second one's whimsical look leaves me with a smile on my face. It reminds me of having the kids in the car and them all screaming 'wheeeeeeee' when we went down big hills!
Hugs
Carol x
Your Christmas card is just too cute Darnell (I love that sediment!!). And so glad to hear you're hooked back up again...guess we've all been there a time or two (or more!!) and it's NO fun!! Have a great day! :0)
Two great cards Darnell and the glittery tinsel ropes look wonderful against the black and the sentiment is just perfect. The lovely flashy bright red car careering down that steep slope is a fantastic Dad's Day card too. I'm sorry you have been having buffering problems as I know how you feel after our problems last week! x
I recognize that card! It looks beautifully twinkly! Hope your internet troubles are over, my friend!
The internet is fabulous, until you can't get online. I feel your pain and am relieved for you that the problem is behind you (hopefully for good). Your cards are terrific. Adore the sparkle in the powder you used and the sticker you applied. I like your eye for card design. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
Two fabulous sparkly designs Darnell ..... love the Christmas card, the words are just perfect! Big hugs ..... Linda xx
Absolutely love your sparkly creations! Wouldn't it be fun to zip around in such a red, sparkly car?
Computer problems are no fun and I hope yours will be over soon!
Don't you just hate it when your computer plays up hope all is well now ...lovely cards Darnell
Anne
Great sparkling cards! Just as I like to see them; a littke their where it is needed... Hugs, Gerrina
Sorry to hear about your lack of connectivity...so, frustrating. Every time it happens to me I want to go to Google to learn new WORDS, but I can't...furthering my frustration. Anyhoo, think I'm in love with your Christmas card sentiment (I often say, "Don't get your knickers in a twist" or "panties in a bunch". I like yours better). And how perfect is that great car sticker on your Dad's Day card and how clever of you to put it on a steep hill. Well, I guess that's why you're you. Have a good Thursday. Bye.
Fab cards Darnell, great fathers day card! Terrible how we rely on connectivity to the world wide Web but I think I could cope as long as I could craft :o)
Val x
Both of your cards are fabulous!! I love the sparkle!! The sentiment is so fun on the first one and the car is awesome on the second one!! I'll admit to suffering panic attacks when the internet goes down!! Have a great day :)

Oh I know exactly what you mean Darnell! Don't have much patience for that interuptus!!
Your cards are beautiful! Thank You~
Oh dear! Sorry to hear about your computer problems, we all know how frustrating that can be!
Your cards are fabulous, I love the sentiment on your first card and the shiny red card looks wonderful.
hugs Sue xx
I always enjoy reading your Blog and looking at Your cards too. Particularly like the Father's Day Card - a great car!!.....Hope you have resolved your computer problems - my little pointer arrowy thing keeps running off the page...little devil he is!!
Gorgeous cards as ever Dee! so sorry you have had internet trouble....drives you crazy I know! it's like having an arm lost isn't it, we so depend on it these days! ;) hugs Vee xx
Nowt worse than computer cable interruptus! Two super cards Darnell, so like your Dad day one. Carol x
These are absolutely adorable, Darnell! I love them both xxx
For some more weird computer stuff, this post just hit my inbox a couple of minutes ago...guess we both have the umbilical cord issue, lol.
Both cards are SO precious! I especially like the saying for the "holiday" season. I know a few people who would love to get that one! Have a great day. Hugs!
Oh, someday we need to meet up and you can teach me the card-maker acronym language, haha!
That sentiment is so beautifully sparkly and it's perfect with your die cut.
And your fathers day card is so fun and colorful, definitely a design fit for a man!
I really like the dad's day card with that shiny car sticker! Love it going downhill too :)
No internet problems here, other than delayed phone connections for several days. Isn't it amazing how we've all come to live our lives through electronic devices now? There's no turning back now, but I wish things would slow down anyway :)
I like both your cards! It's amazing what you've created with one sticker! Way to go! I've also got issues -- my printer quit printing black ink yesterday...had to go shopping for a new one today. Ugh.
FAB cards, Darnell!
And I think we've all ended up at one time or another having computer issues!...Certainly, I have! lol Though, I'll admit. It is sometimes nice to just disconnect from everything. ;)
Enjoy the rest of your week...it's almost Friday! Yay! :)
Hi Darnell
Makes you wonder how we ever managed without tinterweb doesn't it?
Great cards chuck. I'm a bit of a magpie so love a bit of sparkle on a festive card.
Have a great day.
Ang x
Thanks so much for your support of Words 2 Scrap By! I love that racing red car headed down the hill...perfect for this challenge! Thanks for sharing with us at W2SB!
What? You're having internet interruptus, too? I am ready to stomp my feet in a full-blown tantrum with ours. A truck drives by; internet tanks. The neighbours run their dishwasher; internet tanks. A bird flies by; internet tanks. Pooh! Anyway, your sparkly cards are smile-makers, especially the snazzy red car! If you had a snazzy red bike, that would send Andy over the moon *grin*
Hugs~c
Let me start with the fancy-schmancy red sports car....That's one uber cool card, and I'm pretty sure it just might be for the Mister. Love it. So will the recipient! And as soon as I saw the twinkler card, I knew I had seen it before. I clicked on your link, and it took me back to the BABES post. *sigh* That was some fun, wasn't it?!!!! And so is this card. Loved it then, love it now. Sparkles are perfect. Miss you. Bev
Love all that sparkle and the way the black card shows it off! You definitely need to get that sentiment! And I'm sitting here wondering if DH could tool down the road any faster in a shiny red sports card? Hmmm....! A great Father's Day card!
Love that sentiment - right up there with don't get your panties twisted ;) -- love the "red metallic" car too - a man's dream
Vroom, Vroom1 this is fun, nailed it with a red sports car! Thanks Darnell for dropping by Looking 4 Challenges and becoming a friend. It's just a little place, some of us pick up things more visually than the written word deal. Thanks for playing along with us again at AAA Cards- For the Guys! Hugs & Cheers, Victoria
Hello there my lovely friend, What super cards, I love the tinsel text, fab and funny and your Father's day card is special, so clean :D I hope all is good with you? Things are good here, busy, but I think that's good!!! Hugs Gay:D xxx
Fantastic glittery creations today, Darnell. I just love that vintage retro car. When I saw it in the gallery, I immediately thought--some old person is going down hill fast! Did you think that too? Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.
Our dependence of computer is spooky... Is better not to think about. :-)) I'm happy you are back with two fabulous cards.
Stay connected. :-)
Sonja
Sorry to hear about your computer issues.......yes we do get quite attached to seeing whats happen in blog land! Two great cards....the sentiment on the first is perfect. Love the sparkle of the car...I often forget about the stash of stickers I have, wonderful idea!
You certainly know how to spark things up. I love all the glittery look you added to your cards.
You do have to love technology! So glad you managed to get a few minutes to share your great cards with us. I too have sticker some where I'm sure I should be using!
The sentiment on the Christmas card made me laugh. I like that you went with such non-traditional colors.
The father's day card is fantastic. I love the steep hill for the fancy sports car sticker.
Love sparkle and glitter. The black and silver card is a great man card for Christmas but also great for women. Love the 2nd car and would totally drive a sparkly car like that
Great cards Darnell! I love the tinsel sentiment :)
Oh Gosh Auntie, I am loving that sentiment about the tinsel, I had to laugh out loud at that-love it! I also love all the shiny tinsel on this card, it's so pretty! That father's day card is a delight too. I love that steep hill and shiny sparkly sports car as I know a lot men will too! lol Fun cards!! It is awful when we lose internet, what is awful is how we respond to losing internet. lol When did we get addicted to it?! I know I have and it happened when hubby got rid of dial up. lol I hated dial up and didn't have time to waste on it, but now that the internet is at my finger tips in a matter of second, well know that's a whole other story! lol Hugs, Brenda
That internet can be a pip sometimes huh!! Great cards today Darnell. That car and the sparkle just make me happy, love it!
I was blown away by your "car"d. It's probably my newest Darnell favorite. I love the faux-stitched hill, the sparkly retro car, and the bright happy colors. It's a Pinner. And your sparkle card has so much ooomph, too! Love the snarky sentiment. I'm glad your umbilical cord is now feeding you again (at least for the moment!)
Adore the silver on black, all that is needed I feel! And I so wish that car was fine, forget the men!! And yes we are attached to our computers and I freak if the wifi goes down...crazy!! Have a fun day.
Brilliant cards love that sentiment its made me smile cos that's what happens every year when I get the decorations out that tinsel has done a dance in the box !! Love the fathers day card brilliant design Have a good weekend and so glad the computer is fixed Love and hugs Carole x
2 Fab and fun cards Darnell.
Love the silver against black and it makes a fantastic Christmas card for the MM challenge ... note to self I need to join in this week!!!
BUT I'm swooning over the Dad day one. Such a fun scene and imagining lots of squeals IRL! Love it and thanks for sharing at AAA Cards. Sarah x
Fab cards Darnell and I love them both. Saw your tinsel one over at Merry Monday Christmas so had to pop by and tell you what a grand card that it.
Great cards, Darnell! Love the tangled tinsel sentiment! Thanks for joining us at Christmas Card Challenges. Marsha DT @ SCCC
Oh Dippy - how frustrating to have cable interruptus!!! Hope all is well now and you're back up and running. Love your tinsel ropes and that fab sentiment.....must have a look for them. Really cool Happy Dad Day card as well......can just imagine the driver of the car going "weeeeeeee" as he careers down that hill.
Hugs.

Love that happy day card with the awesome car! I get it panic when and if my internet won’t work and that is just sad.... darn we can’t live with out it. Glad you up and running aging
A whole lot of sparkle & shine in this post! Ah...Lakehouse memories tugging at my heart!
Your need-for-speed card is totally all about testosterone! Likely a red wagon (or anything with wheels) until the driver's licence arrived...then it was cars! Great bit of sentiment surgery!
Internet issues...grrrrr....ours has been stupid lately too! Makes me wonder what part of 'high speed, reliable service" we are paying for!
So sorry to hear about your computer troubles...as the saying goes, "Ain't nobody got time fo that!" I love all your sparkly cards...especially the "over the hill" vintage car. Fun! Thanks for joining us at CASology!
Hi, Darnell!
Sparklies is certainly the perfect name for this post! All three cards are dazzling! I can't believe that little car is a sticker... Wow! And, I love those three little brads trailing behind your little car.
Thanks so much for joining us this month at W2SB! We are always thrilled to have you play along with our challenges. :)
Great cards Darnell. Love the sparkly Christmas card. Thanks so much for joining us at Christmas Card Challenges.
Love that sticker, love the paper you used for the hill, love the sentiment--absolutely terrific Father's Day Card, Darnell, & so glad you joined in at W2SB! Love the sparkly Christmas card & you truly do have to find that sentiment stamp--perfect with the fun die! Hope your computer woes are a thing of the past!
Love the sparkle in your cards, and the first one when I saw it before seeing the theme, my mind went right to fireworks night xx
Wow and Wow, very simple easy card, but beautifully done.
love the tinsel sentiment...lol Great guy card. Hope your connection stays connected...that is so darned annoying.
I love your sentiment on your first card...so much fun. I can imagine an elf having to tell that to Santa once in a while. And your second card is so amazing...what a fabby car for dad!
Both cards are fantastic Darnell, Thank you for joining us for Merry Monday.
Love that snazzy Corvette! Great pop of color in the gallery! Thanks so much for joining us at Color Throwdown this week!
Okay, I can totally imagine you and the Mister zooming around the countryside in that snazzy red car! Vroom vroom!! That glittery sticker is so cool and I love the paper you used for the hill. I will most definitely be CASEing this. Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
Also I must get a hold of that tinsel sentiment - it's brilliant!
Again so cute and clever! That car card is so well done!
2 fabulous cards Darnell!! Wonderfully designed!!
Thank you very much for joining us this week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog!
hugs...
Melissa
Too fun...love that sparkly card!! Yes, I get my tinsel in a tangle when the Internet is whacking out....what can I say!! This for playing along at CTD!!
Congrats on the HM at MM, Darnell!
Oooh, Darnell ... seeing your tinsel tangled card brought back some lovely memories ... as gorgeous and sparkly on screen as IRL! What a stunning car ... would love to have a real one like it to scoot about in! Hope the intermittent has become mittent (I just made that word up!). Miss you, my friend! Hugs & Bisous, Anita :)
Love the tinsel sentiment, Darnell, and it's even more better (I know - bad grammar) in the holographic, sparkly ep. What a great Father's Day card. I love red cars.
Sorry to hear that your internet is struggling - that is just so NOT cool!! Your cards are both super fun and I love the first one with its' awesome sparkliness!! Your second card brought a smile - and love that you were able to use that cool sticker on this fun card!! Wonderfully done and I hope you are well - even if your computer is not!!! =]
Internet problems ~ worst nightmare for this non-techy blogger.
Happy you were able to get these two fabby cards posted! :-)
The Red car looks like my old Corvette~LOVE it!
