Greetings!
Aaaannnd we've whooshed through another week to Friday! I know some of you thought it would never get here, but at my place, Wednesday was entirely stolen!
So, BTW, Bloggergeddon hasn't seemed to have happened yet, except for minor adjustments, but there has been a lot of conversation between us bloggie friends about how all of a sudden the Captcha-prove-you're-not-a-robot button has been activated on nearly every Blogger blog.
Whatever.
I know we don't own our blogs and we should be are grateful to have them, but don't you wish we could all go to the Big Room where these people constantly fuss about with bloggie schtuff and teach them how to make cards instead? Now wouldn't that be a better world?!
Which segues to my card. Between wars and pestilence, dramatic drops in stock markets, hurricanes, tornadoes, and epic rainfalls, icefalls, and snowfalls, not to mention, more importantly, personal physical and emotional upset, I made this huggie card to bring you cyber hugs and smiles:
- The paper is either from Stampin Up or K and Company.
- The taller giraffe is NBUS by Avery Elle.
- The smaller giraffe is by Paper Smooches.
- The "sending" is NBUS by Simon Says Stamps.
- The "hugs" are by Lawn Fawn.
- The heart embellies are by Doodlebug.
And all these companies feel good about it. Everybody was kind and got along. Nobody threw their toys on the floor and stomped off. All my other competing craft company products who weren't able to appear on the card watched with approval and cheered me on from the desk top, drawers, cupboards, and floor.
And that's why I love this hobby!
I stamped both images onto a portion of the giraffe-patterned DSP. I don't have dies for either of the giraffes (if they are any), so I used my old-timey contraption called skizzors, cut them both out, and attached them to the card. I was quite tickled that I was able to line up both giraffes perfectly with the underlying DSP.
I'm entering the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Create With Critters" featuring Lawn Fawn products.

Okay, one sec.
As much as I love playing the role of Polly Anna in my life's production, I have to be honest on occasion. Even in my idyllic crafting paradise, as in the real world, there's always someone who isn't a good sport and I feel I must call them out for bad behavior. It's the sequints.
Yes, they went into quite a snit since I didn't use them on my card and they threw themselves off the desk. It's okay. Life is sometimes hard for little shiny objects. Because they now come in every color of the rainbow and they are all the rage, sequints struggle with their egos being larger than their circumference. A Sequint Support System has been set up on Splitcoast Stampers. You can find the SSSSS tab on their website if your sequints are acting out and needing help, too.
Actually, I got quite a kick out of how they fell and I wish I had a slomo video of it happening! Check out how the container landed face up with sequints still inside! I think it must have dropped straight down and all the sequints on the floor flew out as the container rapidly descended. I'll have to have Hammy keep a close eye on them now so they don't keep doing that for the adrenaline rush!

A fab card Darnell. Sequins - almost as bad as dropping beads as they roll around the floor (probably laughing their socks off!).
ReplyDeleteKath x
What a lovely card!! The giraffes are so sympathetic - who better to give you a hug and twine around you than a giraffe with a lovely long neck?? Love the blue contrast of the sentiment. And I'm so glad you highlighted Aileen in your new friends corner. I'm not entirely sure how I came to Aileen's blog, but it may have indeed be through you. We are both blog land and have struck up quite the crafty friendship and are even doing the Copic Online Card Class together - she has been a joy to know and very inspirational. Her cards are fabulous - her colouring superb. Thank you for all you do in bringing crafty love all round the world. Sorry about your sequins. I threw a whole packet of Lucy Abram's sequins on the floor and posted the resulting picture of sadness on Instagram, which she later saw and sent me a replacement package. How kind is that? Xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card Darnell, I have a soft spot for giraffes! I hope those sequins have learnt a lesson and behave themselves from now on lol! Cathy x
ReplyDeleteHi Darnell, such an adorable card, especially for those in need of hugs, love the image and colours. hate it when I spill small things like sequins and beads, Kate x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card! I love background paper and this cute image.
ReplyDeleteyour card is adorable - so very cute - have a wonderful weekend
ReplyDeleteI stopped by to say how much I like your giraffe card and note that I made a totally different giraffe card for the same challenge. However, your post just made me smile. I love the idea of all those companies happily joining forces to help make your fab card, and those naughty little sequins acting out because they didn't get a chance to play today. have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a dear couple of giraffes they are and I love the googly eyes. I lovely "sending hugs" card. Oh dear those sequins all over the floor. Just a good job it wasn't a box of glitter. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic crafty collaboration Darnell, there is something so gentle about giraffes and these are a gorgeous pair. Sequins are little devils!! xx
ReplyDeleteFab card. I've been having my own probs , namely intermittent internet. Just when I think it's working it goes off line! Blogger threw a wobbler when I tried to download a pic of my card for tomorrow. Thank goodness I managed it, this is my first foray into commenting for days! I managed a little bit of FB yesterday before it went off again and a little this aft.
ReplyDeleteHey ho. Hugs. x
Beautiful design and how cute and gorgeous are your giraffes, I just love this card..
ReplyDeleteHugs Babs x
These giraffes are supecute with their googling eyes! And the sentiment splitted in two parts - outside and inside- are a clever idea!! Fabulous paper, it's just perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou have made me laught so much with your sequins : D Sorry.... :D Poor sequins, give them some chance in your cards!
Pheraphs you could glue a piece of cardstock and pick up with it all the sequins on the floor... They could make a stunning patterned texture for a very creative design! :D Lol
Those googly eye raffies are just too cute :) Darling card!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Darnell. Love those adorable giraffes and the patterned paper is just perfect. Your little mishap with the escaping sequins reminded me of the time I dropped a box of eyelets - I was finding them for days after! :-D xx
ReplyDeleteWell I LOVE Giraffes........I have a big one in the lounge! (not real of course...his head would be in the bedroom!) SO I love your hugs card...brilliant and thanks...yes I think everyone needs one right now for some reason or another. |I. m with you on blogger by the way...but we won't dwell on that one. As for the sequins....well what do I say?.........good job it wasn't carpet!! I hope they are safely back in their box now. Have a good weekend Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteI love the giraffes with the googly eyes Darnell and the background is the perfect match. I also love that turquoise and black with it which makes it really pop. The sequins have made a great pattern on the floor and you will probably be finding stray ones for ages ...lol. x
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite things, getting products from different companies to just get along together on a card. Yours turned out perfectly — even the two different species of giraffe are playing along. Poor jealous sequins.
ReplyDeleteThose long-necked huggers are really cute with their googlie eyes! This is such a creative card and I love it all! Good for you not losing ALL of those sequins on the floor! I'd like to see a slow-mo of that accident myself! LOL
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, love the images and those fabulous colours together.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Kath x
Now that is one of the cutest & best cards ever, Darnell--love your elements & layout! Did have to chuckle about the sequins--been awhile since I had something like that happen--back when brads & eyelets were big! Glad to hear the Captcha thing wasn't just me, but the last couple days it's gone again, thank goodness!
ReplyDeleteI'll be darned if this isn't just about the cutest card EVER!! You had me at googlie eyes <3.
ReplyDeleteI have raised my crafting supplies to play well together, but micro beads and sequins do have a difficult time not being the center of attention :)
What a brilliant card to lift all of our spirits Darnell! Your story about the sequins had me giggling aloud . . . not because I was laughing at your (I mean their) downfall, but because I have done exactly the same with microbeads ... now try and sort that out! Have a lovely evening! Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteMy Card Attic
Your card makes me go "Awwwwww"! Thank you! Sending lots of hugs right back to you!
ReplyDeleteAnd those colorful, sparkly sequins look so pretty on your floor!
Oh Darnell your card is beautiful and just what I needed. I am lapping up all the hugs that are passing by right now. Even if they are not really aimed at me.
ReplyDeleteThose sequents are always trouble makers. In my early days when I used to do the Boston Two Step (I kid you not) all us kiddiewinks would go round the dance floor picking up all the sequints that had fallen out of ballroom dresses in a huff!!!
I prolly still have some in my pot somewhere!
Hugs
xxx
Another lovely post you do entertain us with such clever stories I agree I think Blogger and Google are very much ourBig Brothers with minds of their own just wish they could leave us all alone to do what we enjoy. Love the card its so appropriate and a fab design as well. Have a great weekend and welcome to your new followers such interesting ladies Love and hugs Carole x
ReplyDeleteYour lovely hug card made me feel all warm and cozy - thank you Darnell, you really are the best!
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, let's get those Bloggie people in a room.... oh, yes, tecahing them how to make cards would be nice...
I do hope you get all those pesky sequints all back in the container, I have a feeling they might be like confetti and you will be finding them for months to come! Hugs, Annie xx
Here, here to blogger leaving things alone.
ReplyDeleteTotally adorable card - felt the warm hugs all the way over here in the UK.
Pesky sequins, I hope hammy has managed to round them all up and put them back in their place.
Have a great week.
Linda x
Oh Darnell those giraffes are too cute for words! As to sequingate at least you can brush them up, I dropped a whole pot of blue glitter!!!
ReplyDeleteVal x
I love coming to your blog. You always leave me with a big smile on my face. Those poor sequints. I'm glad you're there to rescue them. And your hug....I feel is sent along with the card. So adorable. And yes...why can't we all get along like all of those companies. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Darnell! Hope the sequins weren't too much of a nightmare to pick up! Sounds like you've had some ups and downs this week so I'm sending you some virtual hugs!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Darnell - it's just such fun! Reminds me of Henry the baby giraffe I petted at Longleat about eight year ago and his lovely Mama.
ReplyDeleteToo funny about those naughty sequins - they made a failed bid for freedom :)
Have a lovely weekend my friend! I trotted round the supermarket all on my ownsome today and did a full weekly shop - yay, another step forward :)
Then I came home and collapsed with exhaustion - snort :)
Big hugs
Di xxx
Sweet sweet card Darnell, love that the hugs is inside. Oh those little shiny monsters...so ill behaved.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a sweet card!! The giraffes are so adorable!! I love their googly eyes!! Bad sequins!! I have a similar problem with glitter...not matter how careful I am, I get glitter every-freakin-where. I sparkle when I leave the house!! It's even in my hair!! Have a great weekend!! Big hugs :)

A Mermaid's Crafts
Your sequints story is too cute -- I love your writing style and you always make me smile! Hope they have learned their lesson.
ReplyDeleteThe giraffe card is so sweet!
You crack me up Danell, How dare they throw themselves off the desk! Such little drama queens!!! ;-)Love the giraffes they look perfectly happy being on the card.
ReplyDeleteLOL - the sequints bit the dust! Hate when that happens. Cute card, critters and love the hugs sediment. Take care!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Darnell! Love the giraffes, that awesome paper and the swirly border is amazing. Sending hamster hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteLoving these sweet giraffes! Such great background paper too!! Carri~Abusybee
ReplyDeleteSkittles!
Sending hugs right back atcha Darnell!! This card is as cute as it gets and gave me a BIG smile! Oh the sequin saga! I used to fear my container, holding MANY, ending up on the floor. I'm happy to have a new storage solution that lessens that worry!! How funny the way yours landed!!
ReplyDeleteGreat card Darnell, lucky those companies al learnt to get along well and help you produce such a wonderful card. Love the sequins story, so often we wish there was a camera somewhere just to catch those moments, but then we would all be sitting watching the clips, cracking up and not crafting so probably better there wasnt one.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the introduction, it was very nice. I will send you the $1,000 fee later is that ok????. Lol
Great card, I love the hugging giraffes, and you are so right we need some hugs among all the above listed shortcomings and natural disasters we are facing. I like how the squints flew by itself...lol lets hope you use them soon....always a pleasure to stop by your blog, I not only get see some lovely inspirational cards, but get to read your great write up. You are the best story teller on the blog-land Darnell - cyber hugs to you xx
ReplyDeleteI love your card today! It makes me feel all warm and hugged. I hope you feel the same in return!
ReplyDeleteYour card makes me want to cuddle people around me now. Those giraffes are so,so cute. And your post is just what I needed to JumpStart my Saturday morning with a big smile on my face. Hope you are doing well, Darnell. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful card! Isn't it just amazing how some of us can get along so well, then others...well, not so much. Sadly it's true, but I think the blogsphere can tackle that problem one blog at a time!
ReplyDeleteEeek I love the hamster hugs! Oh Darnell no idea where this week went. Me, myself and I were here all along (well Sam too) and we seemed to lose track of time playing in the snow, sleeping in and having naps too. I adore your sweet card, the giraffe's are so cute and the scripty hugs too--LOVE! Yes it seems that I have had to deal with robot this week too, so strange how it is the troll--sometimes you can cross the bring and sometimes it takes 5 tries! Happy weekend! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLovely to start my day with a smile - and it's a HUGE smile after reading this! Your giraffe card is gorgeous, and I hope you roped the hamettes into setting to work to round up all those pesky sequins!
ReplyDeleteJane
Awww what sweeties those giraffes are - and after those egotistical sequints did their attention seeking thing, I am sure you needed a hug!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Maxine
There always seems to be a lot going on in your life.....including pesky little sequins having a ROLLicking good time, it would seem. They were probably wobbling with laughter as you tried to pick 'em up....which always makes it harder, I've found;)!!! LOVE your card & the assorted manufacturers & hoping there are not too many more winter worries in your part of the world:):)
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Darnell I love giraffes...dropping sequins is like dropping a box of sead beads when I did that I just got the dustbuster out and sucked the lot up!
ReplyDeleteAnne
Hi Darnell, I know of more than one blogger, who have opened their own group on FB and are running it like a blog.
ReplyDeleteA good tip to pick those sequins up is to put a pair of tights over the end of your vacuum and put an elastic band round it. You can then pick up them up and drop them into a container just by turning the vacuum off. It might take several goes.
Hope you have a nice weekend. Sue
Thanks for the hug Darnell, just what I needed. There's one coming straight back your way ... got it yet?
ReplyDeleteLove your card too, those giraffes are soooo cute!
Hope you got all those runaway sequins back in their pot. Have a lovely weekend my friend xx
Adorable card!! My 7 yr old granddaughter would love this card since she loves giraffes. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThanks, hugs were needed here. The I'm sending back at' cha are a bit chilly as we shiver in our timbers over here. Good thing Hammy is a crafter my Girls would be have a ball playing with those sequints! And they'd be all over the house! Have a wonderful weekend (hope it's warm too)! Hugs
ReplyDeletep.s. I didn't have to do the " I'm not a robot thingy" :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic post, Darnell! Thanks for the adorable hugs! I have a daughter who loves giraffes and would be over the moon with this card. I adore your imagination and the image of all your products being happy for one another just warmed my heart! So sorry about those sequins getting their panties in a knot, but hopefully Hammy and the Hamlettes rounded them up for you! Thanks for the smiles and happy weekend to you! Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteYour sweet card made me smile. Googly eyes are always in good taste. Sequints...what's a girl to do? Throw a crafting party! Guess how many sequints hit the floor?
ReplyDeleteLoveeeeeeee your card! Those giraffe are ADORABLE!! And your 'snit' comment made me giggle ... my Aunt (not only Mom's sister, but BFF too) had a tendency to say "you little Sh*t" all the TIME ... and my Mom didn't want her to 'swear' around us as kids, so she took to saying "you little snit!" ... lol!! So you using that word in a totally different context had me giggling this morning! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! and as usual I so enjoy reading your posts Darnell! xoxo Olga
ReplyDeleteThose sequins! Shame on them! Love that adorable card, and so glad the products are all getting along!
ReplyDeleteOh Darnell what a surprise. I'm glad that I was here. Cute card with giraffes you made. Kisses
ReplyDeleteI love it when craft supplies can get along and play well together to make a super adorable card! Except for those darn sequins! I suppose they are used to being the cneter of the show and are just making sure they aren't going the way of the eyelets! Thanks for the big tall hug - right back at ya!
ReplyDeleteOh your cyber Hug card is just too adorable with those darling giraffes. Great card, friend. Hugs back to you.
ReplyDeletePRECIOUS!!! I think they eyes have it in this. Love those cute 'long necks' and the paper is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly trying to remember how to blog once again and hope to be back soon with bells on my toes!
Thanks so much for that cute card you sent Darnell and it just so happens I really, really needed the hug that day.
We're trudging along once again and will see what happens.
Lynn
Just had to come and leave a comment when I saw this cute card Dee. It's soooo adorable/clever/brilliant/yummy I am in awe AGAIN!!!those cutie pie giraffes too, love the eyes!...as for your self destructing sequints.....wow I bet that looked awesome!...just the cleaning up which isn't great is it.I have 'issues' with glitter...it just seems to have a mind of it's own.Have a lovely weeekend my luverly friend ;) hugs Vee xx
ReplyDeleteNothing like combining several company's products on one card...wish I could do that. And such an adorable care. Giraffes are one of my faves. You really did an amazing job with all these elements. No wonder the sequins were jealous...still, I hate it when they act up. Normally, the ones who live here, just stick to any part of my body that shouldn't be discussed or I'll find them on my fingers of clothes while I'm doing something like cleaning the stove or mopping a floor. Of course, since my hands are in rubber gloves covered with some nasty chemical, I can't get them off me. Ah well, the trials and tribulations of the crafter. Thank you, muchly, for your recent kind comments. They've really given me a boost and considering the world's current status, I needed it.
ReplyDeleteYou are always such a wonderful breath of fresh air. Love your hugs card...
ReplyDeleteHope the hammy's tidied up for you. X
Yanno, I hate it when craft supplies run amuck. You should see the floor in my room - it's carpet, and of course the FIRST day I was here a permanent black ink pad threw a hissy fit and launched itself onto the carpet. Ink side down. Ah well. And I had NO idea Blogger decided to ask everyone if they were a robot!! Goodness, we JUST get the hang of it and they go messin' with it. Betcha it's a bunch of guys. . .Anyway, LOVE love LOVE your card (as always) and we will survive!! xo Christi Art without Anxiety {My Personal Blog} (PS I am having some blog candy and I'd love for you to help spread the word!)
ReplyDeleteI love how your paper is so perfect for those sweet giraffes! Sending hugs right back! Your sequints landed in such a pretty arrangement. Hope they behave from now on. Pesky thinks.
ReplyDeleteI love that card. Combining the two giraffes together like that and using the pattern paper really works so well. I am looking for a card to send to the shut-ins (guys) and I don't want to get really mushy with it and I bet they would enjoy something similar to this. I gotta try it. Thanks for inspiring me. I might not have giraffes but might have some other critters that might work well.
ReplyDeleteYou made me smile today with your chit chat about sequins and your fun card! Your easy banter makes it fun to read your blog. I don't have that on mine. I don't seem to be able o write like that. But I do enjoy reading your posts. Hope you are out of the way of all the storms blowing through. Thanks for sharing your fun card and pointing out that stamp companies get along very well on one card. Love it! Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteBugger about the sequins! Chances are you will still be sucking up a few in your vacuum cleaner in the days ahead...hiding where they 'thought' they were safe...like under the table leg felt pad!
ReplyDeleteSweet, sweet creation! One of those images that instantly generate an "ahhhhh...they are so darn cute! Love the DP and of course, the googlie eyes!
Such a cute card Darnell! And I feel your pain on the sequins...I've done that very thing myself.
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend! What a hilarious and fun blog post this is!! I laughed so hard, and you know that is so good for the soul! I am so glad that all of your crafting supplies got along so well, but sorry that the sequins were not such a good sport! haha! LOVE the picture!! Your card is just darling and brought a smile to my face!! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead!! ((Hugs))
ReplyDeleteFabulous card!!! Love those darling giraffes!
ReplyDeleteWatch your embossing powders, too!! I had one go wild and jump off my desk just the other day!!!! I think they heard me warming up my heat gun!
Great giraffes! Love the eyes you put on and it is again a so beautiful pieced together card with that perfect suited paper!
ReplyDeleteDon't know what blogger is up to, but I had a day that I had to hit the I'm-not-a-computer-button and after that I don't see the button on some blogs.... don't follow what they are doing....
In the mean while have a goed weekend! Hugs, Gerrina
Dear Darnell...I am so thankful and grateful for yore invitation all the lovely ladies to visit my blog...you are such a bless and kind person...THANK YOU SO MUCH...LOVE Željka XX
ReplyDeleteTruly a delightful card, Darnell. I love the gogglý eyes on the giraffes and the colours are just so bright and friendly. You need to get Hammy to help you pick up the sequins, I can just see him with his little hammy paws picking them up. Huge hugs to you. Love Janelle ☺

ReplyDeleteSuper FUN card - who could not smile with a giraffe smiling at them! Be thankful you have a wood floor for your sequins to hang out on -- carpet is a nightmare :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you do make me smile. I love the way your mind works!
ReplyDeleteNow this is such a cute card and can lift anyone's spirits. I now miss my best friend since she loves Giraffes. They did try to escape didn't they? They did not watch the movie "Shawshank Redemption" did they? I love how it fell on the floor in such a nice manner, no major upsets or flips. Sending hugs your way
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the hugs Darnell and boy do I need them at the moment.
ReplyDeleteactually my move was to Windows 10 and my photos were snug within Picasa. the problem I had was finding out how to load new photos from my memory stick. However after a visit from my youngest grandson Darren 16 all is well and I now know how to load them. Yipee
As soon as I can I will start to blog again but at the moment life is not dealing me a very favorable hand.
Hugs
Margaret M
This card is ridiculously cute and I love the googly eyes! As for those spilled sequins, that's why I never use them. Between trying to glue them to cards, and then picking them out of the carpet when my 2 year old spills them...no thank you!
ReplyDeleteI find sequins and enamel dots all over my house! Adorable cheeky eyes! Have a good Sunday xx
ReplyDeleteOh what a fabulous card!! I just love those guys!! I gotta pin this!
ReplyDeleteAs for blogger ... Humph! Still can't use Safari ... I mean if it isn't broken why break it? I was a happy blogger till they bodged up with Safari.
I did laugh when I read about the sequins ... I confess I've never thought of them competing but you're right ... Mine have taken a leap so may times I just give up ... so has the vacuum!
Have yourself a lovely day Darnell!
Love your adorable card. Love those cute hugging giraffes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the cyber hug, Darnell, and I LOVE that giraffe card - who wouldn't be cheered up by that card! Here's hoping your sequins get themselves under control! Happy crafting .
ReplyDeleteThanks for the cyber hug, Darnell, and I LOVE that giraffe card - who wouldn't be cheered up by that card! Here's hoping your sequins get themselves under control! Happy crafting .
ReplyDeleteI love your wonderful giraffe card, Darnell! Your blog is always so entertaining to read:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the hugs from those adorable giraffes with their fun google eyes. I have to say I am so grateful for blogger. It has brought me so much joy and love from all around the world. There is a lot I don't understand and I wish they wouldn't change things around. I know they want to keep us safe and I appreciate it but we can delete comments we don't want. I hate it when craft items don't play well together. There is always someone in the group that can't get along and wants to be the diva. Hopefully the sequins will shape up and see they can't always be the center of attention. Maybe the support group will help.
ReplyDeleteSo, so cute! It looks like the giraffes could be one stamp, they go so well together, and I love the paper!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sending us all a virtual hug, Darnell! Love those googly-eyed critters :)
ReplyDeleteVery funny blog post today! I love it!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Michele
Oh Dippy, I just want to hug your card.........it's absolutely adorable; especially with those eyes and b/p. Gorgeous! Who is the hamster on the right in the photo? Is it Mrs Hammy??????? Wouldn't mind hugging her either!

Love the combination of supplies you put together for this adorable card! You did an excellent job!
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying that long necked hug from your delightful giraffes, Darnell ... such a delicious duo! They're very calming which is needed here as the blogger b****r has now decided I need to do two lots of verification for each comment!! Pollyanna was (and still is) one of my favourite books ... even with tumbling sequints and that b****r we have so much to be glad about! Knowing you and coming here is one of those things I'm more than glad about! Thanks for the smiles, mon amie! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteCute card, love the colors, the image and the paper. Damn sequins - those I do not like. BBB
ReplyDeleteWonderful card with a lot of positive vibration, dear Darnell. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

Simon Says and Paper Smooches! Avery Elle and Lawn Fawn! Cats and dogs living together! Sequints on the rampage! What is this world coming to?!?! TOTAL ANARCHY!
ReplyDeleteAnd I want to be....... (queue the Sex Pistols)
Fun and adorable card! You need to get those sequints in line though. We have to have rules! Otherwise we're just monkeys sitting in trees flinging our poo.
Camouflaged giraffes. What a novel idea, Darnell. And those eyes, those googly eyes. They bring those cuties to life and make me smile.
ReplyDeleteWow, on these darling giraffes and that amazing swoop in front of them.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could see a slow motion of the spill too.
Catching up and hoping DH is on the mend.
I love your adorable card and story of the sequints. It's amazing how things happen sometimes.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs,

Oh my word that card is too stinkin' CUTE!! Love the googly eyes on the paper pieced giraffes! :) YES! I can totally relate to spilled containers and messes ALL over the floor! Sigh...at least you have hard wood...as I keep trying to explain to hubby about how useful this would be in my craft room instead of the most shaggiest of carpets I have EVER seen!! LOL! (It was here when we moved and haven't changed it yet.) picking out beads or sequins is not fun when they're berried!! LOL! Take care friend! HUGS
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...this is just darling!! Love the googly eyes!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a super cute sentiment!! This is Awesome!
Have a blessed day,

Your card is adorable Auntie Darnell! I love those little giraffes, they are just so cute. The pattern papers you have used....perfect! Love the "sending" and "hugs" as well as those cute little hearts. I feel for the sequints, as I'm sure they were feeling a bit left out. So in order to deal with it they decided to do some antics and do a joy jump. I guess it was a joy jump because I didn't see any bungee cord. lol Amazing how the sequints box fell upright and all those lovely sequints jumped out all over the floor. Yes, I think Hammy needs to keep a good eye on them from now on because it is plain to see they had to much fun! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card, I love your background paper and how you managed to align both giraffes, wow!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! "Life is sometimes hard for little shiny objects." I'm making a sign! You crack me up! Thanks for sharing your art.
ReplyDeleteadorable card :) - hope you get those sequins to behave better soon!! thank you for playing along with us at simon says stamp wednesday challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the card and your wonderful post! Had me laughing out loud!
ReplyDeleteI have that giraffe stamp...why have i never used it like you did !!! :) loving the card and the cascade of sequins ...people would pay a fortune to have their floor twinkling like that! xx
ReplyDeleteHugs back at ya. So why does my buttered bread always land on the buttered side, huh?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteOh My Gosh, this is just the sweetest HUGS card I've seen, Darnell! Love how you combined a buncha different companies too :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll take a dozen hugs from those darling giraffes...and some long, soulful gazes into the googly eyes of the little one! Seriously adorable - and make all the more special with the various stamps playing nicely together! Clever you in deciding who paired best with whom; I can hear those on the sidelines cheering and applauding. The spilled sequints...ouch! With the dry air we have, they'd be sticking not only to the floor, but the walls, cupboards, socks...I'd be vacuuming them for days (well...first I'd have to get out the vacuum...). Another smile-making post, my friend! (For exponential cuteness, should you have time, google the video of baby sloths getting baths. They're hung up to 'drip dry'. I want to be a baby-sloth bather...)
ReplyDeleteHugs~c

ReplyDeleteOh, boy, the sequints ...hope they're behaving themselves now!!!!
