Greetings, stampers!
Happy middle of May! I'm not even going to talk about it. Instead, we'll just think of today as the start of another fabulous week stretching before us with limitless possibilities!
Wellllllll, not prezackly "stretching" before us. More like whooshing by us! Does that mean we have limited possibilities? No, of course not. We just have to be quick, that's all. Like the lizards I'm going to be sharing with you today.
But, first, for those of you who just stopped by to play cards, I've got one of those, too.

This NBUS SCUBA dude with the googley eyes is a stamp sent to me by my friend Lottie ages ago. It's from Stampendous. It gives me the giggles because that's either a little baby or a balding grandpa! But then I lay my head on my right shoulder and ponder, is that a tail? And, if so, is it a monkey^ with a human head? Has growing up in the 60s caught up with me? No matter what he is, he's having fun! The fishie, wave, and bubbles came from Paper Smooches "Surf and Turf" set. The sediment is from MFT "Framed Greetings."
^ETA: Thank you to my friend TK who let me know that it is indeed a monkey: Changito The Monkey! Apparently, there are a whole series of Changito stamps from Stempendous. So about the face. Let's just say Changito is sunburned!
This was a super QACAS card, put together for a few challenges and to spread the word that today is the 50th birthday of a special friend to a lot of us: Sandie Munroe of London Days! Happy Birthday, Sandie! This is not the card I sent to Sandie, but she has a great sense of humor and she would have liked this one all the same.
Sandie's DT over at TIME OUT are hosting an extra special challenge to celebrate Sandie and over on Kylie's blog you can also find a linky tool (open for a coupla weeks) to add your birthday card to Sandie's greetings!

Hammy forgot to remind me that there is also a sediment stamp that says, "s.c.u.b.a.: super creative unexpected birthday acknowledgement," which is right up my aackronym alley. But that's okay, I let it go. Hammy is still not himself.
Lizziezzzzzzz
While Hammy's busy looking at scrapbook photos of his furballs, I'll sneak in some overdue lizard photos. (I told you I was a 12-year-old boy half the time and I know lizards aren't for everyone, so it's okay if you skip to the end.)
Here in California, we have tiny little lizards called "fence lizards," because they climb our yard fences and dash across the top. I think that fact makes them one of the less intelligent critters in the kingdom, considering we also have a substantial population of hawks with eagle eyes and eagles with hawk eyes.
Long-time readers have met several generations of "Lizzie." We seem to have more than usual this year. Every time they appear I am mesmerized all over again. As you know, it doesn't take much to mesmerize me!
For scale, you can see that they are quite tiny and not the least bit scary.

Can you see it?
How about now:

Then there was the time the Mister came to show me the surprise he got when he went to get the pail:
Now how the heck did it get in there? You'll really scratch your head when you see where that pail is kept in the garage!
We never know where we're going to see them:
or their toys:
But we do know where they come from. One day I saw this guy in an uncharacteristic huff. Check out the beautiful color of his belly:
Can you see the itty-bitty baby now?

Because lizards took up so much space here today, the "New Friends Corner" will return in the next post. Thank you.

This will make Sandie smile Darnell... from ear to ear!
ReplyDeleteSo good to have card making company! We have geckos over here, but the kind of see through ones. Not loving them so much grrr!
Have a great day!
A great fun card - love the scuba baby/grandpa/monkey! Love the lizard photos too.
ReplyDeleteKath x
Love the humour in this card! It's a great stamp and the whole layout is so clean and colourful. Fab job! The lizard pics are WOW and how wonderful to see the baby too :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and fun card. Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh Darnell, I just LOVE your under the sea card! It has brightened up a dull and cold day - Lottie chose well for you, the stamp is such fun! And to add to my delight you show us those gorgeous little lizards - I had no idea they were so tiny but they are just adorable. Thank you so much for sharing them with us... Big hugs, Annie xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Darnell, Love the card.
ReplyDeleteI love your lizards, although I'd not want them in the house.
Hope you have a good start to the week. Sue
Oh what a fun card!! Love it! And good job you pointed out those lizard guys... they are hard to spot! Not a lizard person myself so glad we don't have them... Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteWow, I never knew about those lizards, they are so cute! Love your card today too, I thought it was a monkey at first glance, but whatever it is it made me smile! Have a great week, Cara x
ReplyDeleteCute card!! I am not a lizard person at all- in fact not any kind if bug person!! LOL
ReplyDeleteWow.. such a cute scuba card..love it..
ReplyDeleteHmm I was wondering about the tail on the scuba dude too, lol! Regardless of species, he's adorable and makes for a very fun card! TFS the lizard photos. We have loads of them in Florida and I'm very fond of them also.
ReplyDeleteFirst if all I love your card! It's adorable and funny! I think it's a monkey but I can totally see the baby or grandpa too! LOL. Anyway, it's a great design. :-). The little lizards you have there are awesome! We have black salamanders here but we don't see them too often. They are very shy and are good at hiding. Which is probably for the best as our dog would most likely try to eat them! ;-). Sorry, I haven't been by lately! I've been terrible about visiting all my favourite blogs. :-(. Bad me! Just know I see your awesome cards and love them!
ReplyDeleteWonderfully fun birthday card! I like how quick and easy it looks. And your commentary has me giggling bright and early on a Monday. Great way to start the day. Your lizard photos brought me back to my childhood. We had lots o lizards around our house, too and one of my brothers really enjoyed finding and inspecting them. I am proud to say that I found all the ones before seeing the photo with the circle. Yes! My lizard spotting eye is pretty good! Ha, ha! Have a happy Monday and thanks for the fun post!:)
ReplyDeleteHi Darnell, thanks for making me smile, your card is fun and beautifully painted, fantastic design. Your lizards are cute :) Thanks for the circle on the photographs as I would never have seen them. I hope you are doing well. Hugs, Shirleyxx
ReplyDeleteYour card is sooooooooooo fun! LOVING the lizards too!!! We get the little pink (albino?) geckos in our yard, and house (!) too -- I like them so much, I literally got a pink gecko tattooed on the back of my neck :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a super fun card Darnell!! I love that monkey with his goggles on! LOL!! What a fabulous post today!! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteReally a fun card, these giggling eyes make me smile!
ReplyDeleteFun photos of the your new friens :) Here lizzards are everywere, expecially if in the evening you turn on the light.... and they eat a lot of insects! :D
You are so funny! We call the little things we have geckos. Not sure if it is the same thing, but the dog loves to chase them across the patio. I am not sure what I will do if she ever catches one!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, what a great card, Darnell! You really know how to make me smile..and I know Sandie is going to love it, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing photos of your newest visitors...It's always fun to see who's stopping by in your backyard :) Have a great week ahead!
Love that sweet little scuba card and all the lizard photos! We have tons of them too! I am often saving a tiny baby lizard from the pool, then some are so big I call them alagators :)
ReplyDeleteHope the rest of May is good to you! Hugs!
A super fun card Darnell. Whether he's a baby, grandpa or a monkey he looks very happy swimming around with the fishes and I love the bubbles.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the Lizzies. They certainly are tiny. Barbxx
I'll leave the lizards to you, thank you very much! LOVE your cute little scuba fella...whether a grandpa, baby or monkey...he's a cutie!
ReplyDeleteOh my Darnelle this post is adorable. Love your story and card. I have seen these little guys and they are cute. I was in Boca Grand two summers with a lady who would vacation there. I was her caregiver. Scuba guy is adorable no matter if we can figure out detail about him or not. Take care and thanks for the post
ReplyDeleteYou made such an adorable scene, Darnell--love this card! I've never seen lizards like that & I'm glad they're at your house to be appreciated--haha! Big hugs, Greta
ReplyDeleteCute and fun card. Love the watercoloring on this too Darnell! Um....I'll go with a little gramps that's sporting a tail I think. Cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat Lizzie pictures too. They're so tiny!
LYnn
OMG ... cute, cute, cute!! Thanks for sharing the photos but I too am glad they are at YOUR house and not mine!! Uugh!! LOL! Thanks so much for joining us at The Sisterhood’s ‘NO DESIGNER PAPER’ challenge and please come back again soon!

How fun is your scuba card for Anita!! I love that image it's so much fun and the bubbles bring it to life!
ReplyDeleteLove this scuba guy! So fun and perfect for the challenge! Thanks for sharing at Less is More!
ReplyDeleteThat is a fun card, and it reminds me of a monkey for some reason. I love that he's under water and wearing goggles! Too stinkin' cute! As for the lizzzzerds.........keep 'em in Cali please! I'm sure they mean no harm, but reptiles are not one of my favorite things :)
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo fun and I didn't notice the tail to be honest!! and if I'm being honest at first wondered did she buy it or make it ??? is that a compliment not sure as I think handmade is soooo much better than shop bought but i did mean it as a compliment.... it is that good! x
ReplyDeleteYour card is so fun and fabulous!! I love the googly eyes!! What an awesome touch!! It totally makes me smile!! Love, love it!! I'm not a huge fan of lizards, but they don't scare me like say, snakes!! Eek!! We even have some here in Indiana. I took a picture about a year ago of one, I'll see if I can dig it up and post on my blog soon!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

Cute card Darnell! Love lizards...well little ones any way. Carol x
ReplyDeleteCute card and sure to bring a smile. And, thanks for sharing photos of your lizards. We have a few but not as abundant apparently as you do and they are much bigger. Years ago we had them in our basement but since we cemented it out we no longer see any.
ReplyDeleteI think this scuba guy might be a hairy tadpole! Maybe he's a CA variety of tadpoles and when they grow up to be frogs they have mohawks!?! That's hairdos not Indians.) I can't say I love the lizards. Ours are a bit bigger and one was in my studio a couple of weeks ago. My studio is upstairs so he evidently liked to climb. We chased that guy for over an hour and lost him. Found him in Pop's office across the hall. I constructed a barricade, put some shoes on and kept working. Pop named him Charlie and gave me nightmares about him keeping it as a pet. Quite late that night as I was about to drop off to sleep, Pop announced that he had Charlie! I opened the door and made sure he was really in that towel and gladly watched him skedaddle. We haven't seen him since. Hopefully he has moved well away from the door. End of lizard story. (And I'm not telling about all the squealing I did.)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you live in a beautiful area with lots of friends!! They even bring their babies for you to see! Your cards are beautiful! Love the scuba dude and the butterfly card taken with your friends is beautiful~
ReplyDeleteGreat post as usual!! I love seeing your yard lizards! I miss seeing lizards - non in either WI or now SD! I guess I will have to go WEST! for a lizard fix! : )
ReplyDeleteLOVE your card!! I laughed so hard when I saw it because I have just been working on a card for a future Guest Designer post where the theme is Google Eyes! You will see it some time in June and maybe you'll remember this day giggles!!
Great water friend!!
Patti
It's hard to say what mammal your little swimmer is. All I know is that he's cute. I'm sure Sandie will be impressed with him...in a belly laugh sort of way. We, too, have lizards, hawks and eagles but my mate dislikes reptiles so I don't mention it to him. Suffice it to say, I love having them in the garden for a myriad reasons (because I think their cute, they eat nasty insects and the neighborhood kitty chases but never catches them, providing me with hours of entertainment). Not sure if they breed or not, but since they continue to be there, they must. Right????
ReplyDeleteso fun, I love that you have the bubbles going all the way off the card.
ReplyDeleteO, dear Darnell, what a funny and sweet and nice card you have created. :-) I like the diver with a monkey body and human face. :-) O sweet crafter freedom! Your yard is big enough also for lizards. :-)) Nice fellows. :-))
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Hugs,
Sonja
This is such a quirky card, but I am so confused by his monkey tail and his human head. It's a misfit if ever I saw it, but it is fun nonetheless. I love seeing your lizards. We don't have these much in the UK. We did have a common newt in the garden last year with a lovely orange spotty tummy, but sadly this year I found him squished on the pavement outside the house :( I hope he had a chance to reproduce like yours! Xx
ReplyDeletethe scuba guy is just WAAAAy too cute. love his eyes.
ReplyDeleteCute cute card. Ok, at first thought I thought it was a monkey. Whatever it is it is cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd your lizards? They would startle me each and every time!
Such a fun, super clever and creative card - love it!! Your sense of humor is the best!! Hope you have a way awesome day!!
ReplyDeleteDarnell, What a fun card, and I love what you did with the sentiment. Someone's going to get a big birthday chuckle when they receive this in the mail. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the circles. I was pretty sure at first you were just playing a joke getting us to scour a picture looking for a lizard that wasn't there.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking you made a back-of-the-comics sea monkey come to glorious life. Love his watery background!
ReplyDeleteYour fun and cute card made me smile! And I looked at every one of your lizard shots. I always enjoy seeing and reading about your backyard wildlife!
ReplyDeleteYour blog posts are the BEST! always so much fun to read them - love your lizard pics - such cute little creatures! We don't have any in our yard - just skunks, deer, raccoons, opossums, squirrels, chipmunks and the occasionally wild turkey....I am opting for balding grandpa! Fabulous card! Made me laugh! Sandie will love it!
ReplyDeleteVery fun card and the whole post is a hoot.. love the lizards. Thanks for visiting my blog and I enjoyed yours. Susan
ReplyDeleteS.C.U.B.A. card with lizard photos. A dynamite combo for the start of summer. I really enjoyed both! Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card, Darnell! And Darnell, meet Changito the Monkey! I have one of these Changito stamps! Love 'em but not as much as your card, or your little lizzies!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and funny card Darnell - I'm not convinced that diver is human but hey, he is breathing - check out the bubbles!
ReplyDeleteLove to see lizards, they mean holiday for me!
Thanks so much for joining us for one layer week
Anne
"Less is More"
Hi Darnell - Gorgeous photo's - I have loved reading this post.
ReplyDeleteand...what a beautiful card. Your colouring is wonderful and I love your CAS card design which just suits that cute image perfectly.
Sue...xxx
Thank you so much for sharing your lizards - I think they are lovely too! We don't get a lot here (too cool) but further north they are more populous.
ReplyDeleteLove your card, and yest your character is a bit confuddled about who he/it is!!
Blessings
Maxine
What a fun card! TYFS the photos - so interesting. Those stones look like the ones I had in my head when I designed my card.
ReplyDeleteYour scuba diver is such a cutie, Darnell ... and yes, looks as though he's having so much fun underwater! I looked like that in my diving gear ... googly eyes in a mask, rounded in a wet suit ... don't recall a tail though! Love your lizards ... they have French relatives that live all over the courtyard ... p'raps they could do an exchange programme! MYHMA ... hugs & bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteYour image is such fun Darnell, it's a Super, splashy scuba-diving "something" - like you, I'm not sure if it is a monkey? But what a fab image it is! Perfect entry for our OLC At Sea. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More.
ReplyDeleteSharon xx
What a fun little card - yes.. I didn't notice the tail first of all - maybe he is a monkey ??
ReplyDeleteYour little lizards are wonderful. I have loads of those here and some bigger spiny ones which are amazing. The cat bought one in last year. I found it clinging onto my lace curtains. She was about 9 inches long and I had the devil of a job trying to undo each claw from my lace !!!! Got her off eventually and sent her on her way. I have no idea how the cat managed to get such a spiny girl in her mouth - she definitely was prickling up MY fingers !!! I called her Linda Lizardi hahahaha :-D
Have a great day
Hugz

Hi Darnell, I do love your lizards they look like our water dragons as we call them we also have penny lizards and geckos. I don't like the geckos, actaully I'll qualify that, the native geckos are fine, it's the Asian ones I can't stand they're so flipping noisy in the middle of a summer night. I have to sleep wiht the window shut, cant cope.
ReplyDeleteBut worked something out this year. If you keep the lights away from your place of repose they won't click loudly outside that window, so use light in other side of house prior to bed, and our neighbours have them for serenade....
Or will not actually as their room isn't that side. :D
I keep thinking I must try this water colour card again soon and haven't done it....too many techniques to play with. Lovely cards, great CAS. Thank for for popping over too dear friend. Trust you're picking up ..must go back and catch up...:)
Thanks for the inspiration,

We have what we call 'skinks' here....slightly bigger than yours but skinnier. They have a habit of dropping off their tails if you try to grab them! They're cute. So are yours! And your card....Grandpa...bald baby...whatever, it WORKS. LOOOOOOVE the 'scene' you've created:):)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and great pix, Darnell.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Em xxx
Hi Darnell, love that fun card and super pics of your lizards xx
ReplyDeleteOh this is a fun one Darnell!
ReplyDeleteLizard? oh no, I am so scared!
Scuba monkey is adorable. I love the little fishies swimming along. Such a cute card. The baby lizard is adorable. If I saw the parents I would be running and screaming. We saw them in Florida (don't know what they are called there) and I am not a fan!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Darnell, I've been so intent looking at the lizards that I almost forgot that there was also a card. Terrific fun card great image and colours.
ReplyDeleteYour little critters are fantastic, now my son would certainly appreciate your photos as he has quite a few of these little guys, thanks for sharing, Kate x
"Changito the monkey" looks like he is having a great time playing in the sun and sea. Nice to see that forgetting his sunscreen at home didn't keep him from having fun!
ReplyDeleteSweet, sweet card! The textured cardstock creates a gorgeous 'ocean'.
Thanks for sharing the pics of the little critters that share your beautiful yard with you! They really are cute!
Love your cute card Darnell but it really looks more human than monkey to me! Love seeing all your lizards too! Lily my younger cat would love chasing them! The last present she brought me was a toad - still alive and easy to catch to return it outside!
ReplyDeletewhata fun card Darnell and it was surprise to find out it was a monkey lol..but still very cute and a fun card indeed. As for the lizards I can see why the like your garden so much,Its so lovely , I will settle for tHE occassional bumble bee and ladybird here thanks!...they do fasinate me on holiday but thats where they belong ....on holiday... lol, and my eyes are definately not eagle like enough to spot them !... thank goodness for red circles.thanks for sharing hugs andrea X
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card. Sure to m ake Sandie, or anyone else, smile. And, I really like little geckos. We have them here, but they always move too fast for me to get a good picture.
ReplyDeleteVery cute & amusing card Darnell! Until you confirmed it was a monkey it was hard to tell but super cute anyway. You have a lovely garden so I'm not surprised the lizards are happy to call it home.
ReplyDeleteOhhh my goodness I love the story and the photos of the itty bitty dizzy's and their offspring. Do you get skinks? they are teeny tiny looking lizards but smooth and if you grab by the tail they will leave their tail behind and grow another.
ReplyDeleteLove love that card its so darn cute.
Ad I love my birthday card which arrived one day before my birthday so you sure timed it well. A beautiful card and I love that little hanging banner. My granddaughter was delighted with all the little stamped squares that fell out all over the place when she opened my card. She is the offical card opener for my birthday cards and apparently those little stamped squares were for her..... so she said. Very appreciated Danell Thankyou.
FUN card, Darnell. I must admit it had me a tad baffled as to what the heck it was. Thanks for clearing up the mystery for me ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice pics of your fence lizards~~we have lots of em here in FL too, the little ones slitter into the house from time to time.
Lovely card Darnell, sorry for visiting so late to leave a comment, Sandie will have chuckle, I love the image.
ReplyDeleteYour card is a "snoezie" like we say here! Thank you for joining us at Sandies birthdaychallenge at TIME OUT. And your photos are beautiful (I don't mind seeing the; they come in so many differnt colours, just like cards :) ) Enjoy spring-month may! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteLove the card Darnell, I think it can be whatever you want it to be, but my personal favourite is the balding grandad! Ha ha! And then I got so distracted with all the lizards, that I didn't take enough tiem to study your card in details, so I am going back to it now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun fun card and image, yep a monkey for sure...lol...I enjoyed reading your entire post...and you can 'keep' the lizards, unless you want to trade for snakes, then I am all for it..lol!
ReplyDeleteanywho, thank you for joining us at The Sisterhood for our challenge!
Diane TSH DT
What a fun card Darnell .... I love Changito he's just so cute!! Speaking of cute, love those little lizards although I wouldn't want them in my back yard! Enjoy the rest of the week. xx
ReplyDeleteYou make the best one layer cards! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove your scuba card Darnell, glad you got to use the stamp. The little fella is indeed a monkey and his name is Changito and he has a lady friend called Changita! I love this image https://stampendousblog.wordpress.com/category/changito/of Changito
ReplyDeletewith his surf board and Changita in her bikini at the beach!lol
Also love your little lizard friends, how great to have them in your garden. Hugs Lottie xx
You make me smile Darnell! Love the "monkey" and the scene you created~your lizzie stories/pics are too cute :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post! Thanks for making me smile... I love lizards too and always spend my holidays abroad liz hunting! Love your card, very sweet and totally perfect for our CAS challenge at CWS, Jo x

Fabulous CAS card, Darnell. I am a diver so i love this monkey diver too ;-). I´m not a big fun of gecko´s and i´m lucky not to have them in my yard in Germany ***lol**
ReplyDeleteImke ~ My Crafty Place
This card did make me giggle-love the googly eyes especially as I have been trying to make a card with these recently-with not so much luck. Thanks for your link words and the card I already have with my crafting fun-thanks for joining my party
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found out that was a monkey because I was wondering about the tail too, Darnell. I didn't know monkeys like to scuba but he looks good doing it. You do such good nature photography. I love see all kinds of God's creatures.
ReplyDeleteLovely fun card! The scuba diving monkey with a humanlike head made me giggle! Lovely sentiment too! Cool photos! I would love to have lizards in my garden! I think they are so cute! Looking at your brilliant photos is always fab! Thank you! Take care! xxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteHi Darnell! Long time no see. I stopped by (along with 87 other people) to say how cute and funny your card is, then got utterly side-tracked by your lizards. I'M SO JEALOUS! We have a gecko a bit smaller than yours, and he can get into any crevice he chooses. Remember that they can walk upside-down on every surface except non-stick pans. (Go on, google that and have a giggle!) Keep smiling, Sunshine!
ReplyDeleteRosey x
What a fun & splashy card. Love the way you've done the water...looks very realistic - just like when the sun shines through the water as you're swimming with a snorkel! We had those little liz-ARDs in Fla. They went everywhere...sometimes could be very disconcerting if you didn't know one had entered the house! Cute & delightful card! TFS & Hugs.
ReplyDeleteOh, I died laughing (but came back to life)! First, I totally LOVE your card (both of them). A monkey with a sunburned face -- why not? Maybe he's red faced from exertion. So cute! Beautiful garden and fun critter photos. Really enjoyed this. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteHi Girlie! I've got a few free minutes between "duties" and decided to try to catch up a little bit. Your card for Sandie is a hoot!! I love this little scubie-doo monkey, and your watercolored sea is fantastic!! But it's the googly eyes that make this card for me... cute, fun, and funny! I know she loved this; it's delightful. As to the lizards...cute, as long as they stay outside. And since they're not huge, I wouldn't be afraid of them. Did you see the four foot one on the side of the house on FB a while back? ICK!!! Hope you never have any of that size by you! Hope you're doing well, and jingle me when you can. xoxo Miss you!! Bev
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card Darnell and I love the added waves and bubbles and a great sentiment too. What wonderful photos of the lizards in your yard and they are so small and cute and what fabulous landscaping you have with all the different textures and pretty flowers and foliage and all so well manicured. x
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun card Darnell, I really enjoy reading your thoughts :).
ReplyDeleteWith all the critters visiting your yard, and that you describe so well, is like having your own mini Odyssey show.
Thanks for stopping by!
What fun to see a SCUBA diving monkey with a sunburn! And why not? He's a happy guy! We don't have those fun friends in our backyard, but whenever we go to Disney World, my husband offers a dollar to the first daughter to find a lizard. Next time I'll offer a dollar to the first girl to spot a diving monkey!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab card Darnell, that little guy really made me chuckle and what terrific pics of your little lizards too!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see them for real!
Thanks so much

Goodness gracious me, what fun pics of Lizzie and her compatriots!!! TFS I love your LIM card Darnell, such a cutie with the goggles :D Fabulous Hummer card too, great colouring on that one, hugs Gay xx
ReplyDeleteNothing like a googly-eyed scuba-dude, monkey-like creature to brighten my day! Too cute! As for your little lizards...not scary (big birds that prey on them: now those are scary!), but I'd be worried that I'd sit or step on them! How nice to have such a marvelous array of critters to share your yard with. Harmony with nature: love it! My brother, sister-in-law, the kiddos and my MOM (first time!) are at our place! We're a little crowded with an extra five people living in our 'postage stamp' home, but oh the fun we we're having...and they only arrived yesterday! The weather, of course, *has* to be cold and rainy, but that's okay: just an excuse to bring out the 'brellas and go for hikes (or whatever) anyway. Happy me being Aunty C!!

Lovin your sweet monkey card. He is a cutie patootie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. Life gets so busy,eh? I am at the lake for a few days, taking a break from family...bad of me...but everyone needs a break!
Hi Darnell
ReplyDeleteA scuba diving monkey eh? That's definitely something lurking from the 60s lol!
A fun card to raise a smile to anyone's face.
Make sure non of those little lizzies stow away in your luggage in July!
Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteWell look at that. A sea monkey. With a sunburned face. Who knew?! LOL! Love your card and all the lizzy pics too! Thanks for joining us at Shopping Our Stash!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun card - is this a monkey disguised as a scuba diver or a scuba diver disguised as a monkey!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!!

Love your card and of course, your sense of humor! I have those lizard-things all over my deck, too. That's also where I take my pictures. Many times I refuse to sit out there in fear one will come inside with me, stuck in my hair. (That actually happened!) I've seen them huff out a giant orange bubble. Have you seen that? It's a mating call, I believe.
ReplyDeleteHope you see this one Darnell - I've just seen it and I absolutely love lizards myself so I think you really are lucky to have these little cuties in your garden. We have newts in our pond which are about the same size and look very similar to these but I just would love to see them popping along the fences etc. lol!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Soupie xxxxx
This card makes me smile widely :-)) I love these fun cards.

Oh that card made me laugh!! I LOVE the way you colored it in!!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had lizards!! Then maybe they would eat the dang bugs in my veggie garden that I get every year!! I only get one growth of cucumbers and zucchini because of the stupid cucumber beetles that I cannot seem to fend off every year. Alas, our climate is too cold for these critters to be in.
