I'll leave you with this EZPZ QACAS card:
I did a bit of blending with Distress Inks for the background. The NBUS sediment is from Technique Tuesday's "Happyville Sunshine" set. I'm not only trying to use my NBUS, I'm trying to fit a little exercise in my daily routine, so I upcycled that sensational tree diecut from a store-bought card I received a few years ago.
This card fits the current AAA Cards Challenge where the brief is "blending" and the Muse Challenge where Marilyn is the talented card artist to be CASEd. I was inspired by her warm sunset colors and how the white focus just popped off those colors. Here is her beautiful card:

Enjoy your day! Enjoy the challenge! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*

ReplyDeleteAnne
Another fab challenge is well under way. Hopefully I'll find time to enter ..... the old craft room is all over the house at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI had the brilliant idea of moving it downstairs into a bigger room ..... seemed like a good plan at the time. Not so much now that only one desk is downstairs, my stamps are still upstairs, half my inks are goodness knows where and where did I put the new stash that arrived yesterday??!! Oh well .... I'm sure it'll turn up!
LOVE your card Darnell ..... that tree is just gorgeous and looks fab against the beautiful blended background. Enjoy the challenge xx
Oh what a pretty, pretty card..love those colors!! What a fun challenge, hoping to join in again, I don't think I have missed one yet!!

ReplyDeleteLove your card! Thanks for another challenge! Always so much fun,
ReplyDeleteI will be back with my entries. Yes, I said entries plural. Got to do my part to prove that it does not take prizes to get entries.
ReplyDeleteYour charming blog and your equally charming acronyms inspire us daily!
WOW! Blending beautiful and silhouette sensational! NBUS and exercise: perfect pairing *grin*! Added my card featuring my *finally* used Altenew Watercolour Wonders stamps...figuring out the layer alignments was a real exercise, but well worth the sweating (and near tears)! Actually, turned out easier than I initially thought. Hope my card brings a smile...
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
Beautiful background, Darnell, perfect for the gorgeous white silhouette. xx
ReplyDeleteI'm back with my second card, Darnell! Love using my NBUS! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteDarnell,
ReplyDeleteI entered your fine challenge without reading the rules first. I tried to delete my entry, but do not see a way to do that. I guess I will just have to take my "come-upance" for not following the directions. My card is entered in 7 other challenges.
I participated in some of your challenges a long while back and accidentally came across another card entered in your challenge. I found you!!! Since my stamps were brand spankin" new to ink, I got excited and rushed to the entry form.
Please forgive .... Sharon (Higgledy-Piggledy)
Wonderful card Darnell, love the gorgeous colour.
ReplyDeleteLove it that your fabulous fun challenge is back and I must admiit to feeling rather pleased with myself 'cos I used 3 NBUS items - only a few more to go (until I can get the cupboard door to shut)! xx
That background is so scrumptious, Darnell ... you must've been upcycling through a forest when you came across that delicious, delicate tree (tee hee!)... it's soooo lovely against all those glowing corals and pinks! I have a little mole hill of NBUS especially acquired for this very purpose ... merci mille fois for enabling ... and for another fun party ... you are a star and an inspiration! LYAMYEMACWFO! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful vibrant colors! Was wondering about the tree, too bad this tree doesn't exist as a die. Great job recycling.
ReplyDeleteHi Darnell. I do love your background blending, gorgeous colours to show off your pretty tree. Have a lovely day! hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely card Darnell - I'll join in soon with my NBUS card.
ReplyDeleteKath x
This is a very fun challenge to take part in! Thanks so much for hosting. I love your pretty and vibrant card.
ReplyDeleteHow have we all amassed so much stuff that is NBUS. I could make lots of cards! :)
Dear darling delightful Darnell. I rarely enter challenges without prizes, but because it's you, and because the NBUS mountain is so big, and because it's just such a fun place to play and well, just because. Hoping you get lots of entries because you deserve it. Hugz
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous card, Darnell! Your background is just beautiful, and I love that you used your recycled tree...it's perfect! Love your sentiment, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for another fun challenge! It's so generous of you to do this for us, and of course really helpful to start using some of our new stuff :)
Another NBUS Challenge!! Yeah!! I just created a card with a NBUS that I had gotten in March? (shame when you don't even know when you received the darn stamps!) and did some coloring last night. I will definitely be entering.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your pretty card with that lovely background. I like that you recycled the die cut. So clever!! Thank you for hosting this fun challenge!!
Hi Darnell,
ReplyDeleteYour card is very lovely, and vibrant.
The inking is super, and your design is ace as usual.
It was a little cooler in my neck of the woods today so I managed to make a card for this current challenge.
Thank you for all your hard work involved with this great challenge.
Love and biggest hugs from my house to yours.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Thanks for another NBUS challenge, Miss USA. I really needed the kickstart to get goodies out to play. I can't believe it's been a month since the retreat - miss you!! xx
ReplyDeleteBoy - your acronyms keep doing acro-batics and getting longer and longer! :) Whatever their meaning, your cards keeping getting gorgeouser and gorgeouser. That vibrant splash of a background is the perfect counterpoint for the stark white die cut. Bravo! And thanks for offering us another fun NBUS time.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Darnell - I just love those colors. Looking forward to playing in first NBUS challenge.... whoo hooo!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card Darnell, I really love that background colour, and the addition of that gorgeous elegant white tree is stunning. It really pops against the background. And I LOVE the fact you upcycled, I mean why not? Too good to waste! It actually reminds me of a die that I have seen somewhere in craftyland, maybe a Papertrey Ink die, but I am not sure. Either way, its a stunning card. Thanks for the challenge, I will be enjoying playing along and I am off to have a look at what everyone has been making. Hugs, Lisa xx
ReplyDeleteLove your card, Darnell! Thanks for hosting another NBUS challenge.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Em xxx
I used my newest NBUS but shame on me not using the ones that have been in the NBUS box for a year or more! Today, I'm going to try to use one that's been in there the longest! Thanks for the challenge to make me do that! xoxo

ReplyDeleteHi Darnell,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to pop over and thank you for your kind visit the other day which was much appreciated. I have had several nudges from fellow bloggers to join in and would love to but I've not been able to craft for a few weeks due to an MS flare up. So presently reliant on old makes and couldn't find anything which would fit your brief, but promise I will do my best join in next time round.
B x
Oh how I love these!!
ReplyDeleteIt's been awhile, but I finally caught a challenge!!! I need to give some other new stamps some love too!!
ReplyDeleteStunning card, Darnell! Your beautiful white tree looks perfect on that lovely inked background x
ReplyDeleteYour upcycled card is very lovely. I like how you captured that one idea challenge photo. I'm embarrassed by how old my NBUS is (okay, not really, but it is such a cool stamp, how did I ignore it all those years???!).
