Hello, my stamplings!
I hope this finds you all well as you've whooshed your way here to another Friday!
And I hope all my American friends enjoyed a lovely and festive Thanksgiving yesterday without any relatives getting into duels over the election results. We managed to keep politics at bay in no small part due to the fun we had with FIVE doggie guests! Everyone left with a full belly, but now the real eating begins with all the scrummy left-overs!

And now it's all Christmas all the time in the Playhouse! First up are two tags I am finally posting for Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.
Tag Onefer
Tag Onefer
The two sizes of tags were cut from a NBUS Avery Elle "Alice" die set. The mistletoe (embossed in platinum) and the NBUS sediment (embossed in red) are from CAS-ual Fridays' "Merry Kiss-mas" set. The NBUS bow (embossed in red) is from Avery Elle's "Winter Wreath" stamp set.
This tag was inspired by Jeanne Jachna on Day 1 when the featured sponsor was CAS-ual Fridays. Here is Jeanne's pretty tag:

Tag Twofer
This tag was cut using My Favorite Things stitched tag. The white embossed ornaments are NBUS from Technique Tuesday's "Holiday Ornaments" set, the sediment is from Technique Tuesday's "Jingle All The Way" set, and the snowflakes are from SU.
This tag was inspired by Jill Dewey Hawkins on Day 11 when the featured sponsor was Technique Tuesday. Here is Jill's pretty card:

Thank you, Tracey, for all your hard work putting this amazing 25-day tag challenge together! The inspiration has been phenomenal!
Card Threefer
I made my OLC using a classic stamp from Stampendous, which was a gift from my friend, Mary H. It was NBUS for me and I watercolored it with my Ziggie markers. The sediment is from Papertrey Ink.
Challenges
- Less Is More: Vintage.
- One-Layer Simplicity Challenge: Peace be with you.
- The Paper Players: Clean and simple: Christmas
- PTI November 2016 Blog Hop Photo inspiration. Obviously, I was inspired by the yellow pickup with the Christmas tree in the back.
- Rudolph Days: Simply make a Christmas card.

I adore your tags, the first with the pretty mistletoe, red bow and cute sentiment, and the second with the beautiful white ornaments and snowflakes on that gorgeous bright red background. Now with my Rudolph Days hat on: you have coloured the truck so well and given it a great old and distressed finish, and I love the tree and wreath with the pretty blue baubles, and finished with the perfect sentiment. Thank you for taking part in the November Rudolph Days Challenge. x

ReplyDeleteWhat a cool, nostalgic truck! I'm not good at vehicle ages and I suspect it's older, but the scene takes me back to my childhood in the early 50's and put a smile on my face. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely tags especially the red & white one! Love the truck card too! Had to laugh at your photos. First that fabulous sign & then all those super cute puppies!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tags and cards, and I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too! I love the photos of your ever-growing granddogs, and may I borrow your house sign for a while? No P-Tics spoken here either! LOL

ReplyDeleteCute tags, love your card, especially that sentiment!
ReplyDeleteLove the gift tags and that AWESOME card, Darnell! I have a similar truck that needs some inky love ~ thanks for the NBUS inspiration :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the NO POLITICS sign at the door. We avoided family and ergo avoided problems. Politics probably wouldn't have played a part, but what they lack in political leanings them make up for in general bitchiness. It sounds like you had a great day with all that canine company to help in the even any scraps or crumbs hit the floor. Great tags, especially that first one. Love the card too.
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful tags AND your fabulous pickup truck with the tree Darnell...totally makes me think of a country Christmas! Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have to say that I loved your NO POLITICS sign...even my hubby liked that one! :0)
ReplyDeleteOh how fun--5 doggies! Poor Fritz had to be boarded, but I did play ball with Harvey, the blue Pitbull--a real sweetheart! Wonderful tags--especially love the first one & that card is a classic beauty! Enjoy the left-overs, my friend!
ReplyDeleteFabulous tags and pickup truck card! Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely creations Darnell and I particularly love the colouring on the truck card - very skilful! I'm glad you enjoyed the day with your two legged and four legged friends and the no politics sign was a wonderful idea for keeping the Thanksgiving peace. Xxx

ReplyDeleteYour tags are adorable! Love, love the classic red and white theme you used for your tags, and the double tag with the mistletoe sentiment is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThese tags are both so deliciously festive and gorgeous, Darnell ... I'm especially taken by that delicate mistletoe with the sweet sentiment! Brilliant colouring on that Christmas laden truck ... puts me in mind of all those traditional cosy Christmas movies ... hot chocolate ... roaring fires ... lovely! Great politics-free-zone sign ... p'raps you could market it! Delighted you had such a fun Thanksgiving ... wonder how long it'll take to eat all those leftovers?! LYAMYEDMA! Hugs & bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteHi Darnell, Sounds like you all had fun and looking at the photo it seems like your doggy guests were well contented with their little get together too.
ReplyDeleteLove your card and tags especially the first one with the mistletoe. Now I just wonder... is that for the Mister's present or is it for Santa's? ho ho ho!

ReplyDeleteI didn't even see the truck, what an awesome take on the PTI inspiration photo!
ReplyDeleteThese are all lovely, Darnell, but your truck looks like a picture from a magazine. Your coloring is simply divine. Great photos of your feline friends and family and love the No Politics sign! Glad you had a great Thanksgiving.

ReplyDeleteYour tags are festive and lovely Darnell!! And your vintage truck on the card is nifty!! No politics on Thanksgiving for us either ~ YAY!!
ReplyDeletePretty tags! I always make all my own tags, so thanks so much for the wonderful inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThose are great festive tags. I really love the red and white. I love the picture of your son and daughter in law. Do they actually have five dogs now? They are all so sweet looking. I'm glad your Thanksgiving was terrific and fun.
ReplyDeleteA delightfully festive post featuring three awesome projects! Adore the tags...'specially the CAS red & white one with the perfectly embossed images! The puppies stole my heart!
ReplyDeleteIn the middle of our first blizzard...and it's a good one! Heavy wet snow...oh yay! NOT!!!
Well I am back and what better way to get back into the swing than having to comment on your post, which always brings a smile to my face, which I need after coming back to the bitter cold weather from the lovely sunshine.
ReplyDeleteFirst tag, love it, fab embossing of a lovely image and a fun sentiment, now I see it is a take on another tag with the sentiment of oh what fun, was that what you had under the mistletoe, I wonder if she actually responded to your tag instead of you casing her tag?
I also notice that the second tag sample has you down to a tee, you are certainly one of a kind and don't we all love you.
Great image for your lovely CAS card.
Kath x
Ha! Love the No Politics sign by the door and I would have been in heaven with all those pooches! :) Did any of them manage to sneak off with any turkey?
ReplyDeleteThat CAS-ual Fridays set has been on my wish list for ages. Love how you used them here with the ombre green ribbons. White on red is always such a fabulous bold contrast - perfect for good cheer! And that truck is just awesome - old school and cool! :D
Fabulous tags and card, Darnell! Both of your tags are just about embossing powder heaven! Beautiful coloring on your one layer wonder. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm curious as to how you acquired five dogs for the event.
ReplyDeleteYour tags and card are fantastical in every way! The five doggies...oh my goodness! And one is a puppy! Smitten and crushing over the whole gang! I think *someone* needs a puppy of her own...maybe some day...
ReplyDeletehugs~c
Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Darnell.
ReplyDeleteThree brilliant project, I love the designs of them all. I especially love the top tag, although you'll have to be careful who you give it to. 😉 xx
Wonderful tags and card!
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteGreat creations! If I had been there with you....I would have been in "doggie" heaven! Can you tell I'm a big dog lover! (even though we don't have one at the moment) I get my doggie fix when I go visit my grandpuppy at my daughter's house! And I want one of those signs!
Hi Darnell, happy belated Ruldolph day, your tags are stunning, just starting mine. The ute with the tree hanging out in the back is super, lovely colouring... have a great weekend... Megan
ReplyDeleteYour tags are so sweet. Always come in handy...it is amazing how many we go through at Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLove your card. Mary H is such a fabulous lady. I think she is so kind and thoughtful. Your stamped image is great. Loving that old truck and the tree is a nice touch.
Thanks for taking part in the November Rudolph Days Challenge.
It looks like Mt. NBUS got a work out, Darnell. So many wonderful stamps making fantastic tags and cards. The white embossing on red is stunning and not a drop of extra powder anywhere.
