Greetings, Stamplings!
Don't forget the April Boo-Boo Hop/NBUS Challenge #11 is coming soon!➠
Only 8 more days!!
I hope you are doing well! I'm sorry I've been away for a week. I've missed you. The Mister's back is slowly, ever so slooooowly getting better and we are hoping to put off surgery if he takes it easy, does his exercises, and is careful. And if he's a patient patient, she says, patiently. Thank you all for your good wishes and prayers!
I'm happy to be here today as the Guest Designer for the current Tag You're It! challenge! Thanks to this fun challenge, I have to say that I am really starting to enjoy making tags. They remind me of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) that are very popular with my British friends.
This week the featured artist we are CASEing is the uber-talented Gayatri Murali and here is my CASE of her tag to inspire you!
And here is Gayatri's tag:
Isn't that just the cutest tag?! You can see that I was inspired by Gayatri's critter, big love, and sideways sediment.
For my card, I used a snippet of SU DSP and my MFT Die-namics stitched tags die. The karazy bunny and big love are by Paper Smooches. The Happy Easter is from SU and the "with" label word is from MFT.
Now you may think to yourself, "Well, that's cute and all, but isn't Mr. Bunny sorta floating in the air like a bunnyloon?"
Indeed. But, ahaha, I did that on porpoise so I could put a score line under him like this,
so I could fold him to fit in this tiny pink envie that Hammy found in my stash!
Ba-bye
I was SO inspired I made a whole line-up of cute Easter tags and in the process, I used a lotta pp snippets!
I actually made more than this but I already sealed a few ready for mailing. For these I put Mr. Bunny on the bottom portion to make him more athletically pleasing and grounded. I mean, as much as that's possible considering the face he made for the camera!
Here's one of them attached to a card front. I'm telling you, these bunnies are everywhere!
I hope I have inspired you to join in the fun for this two-week long challenge! Even if you're not a tag-maker, just look at Gayatri's cute tag again! You can do this! A simple tag, a critter, and a sediment and you can rest assured you will bring a smile to the recipient!
I can't wait to see what you make!! YOU could be the next Guest Designer!! Click here for all the details and to see what the Design Team has made to inspire you!

Love how you added a fold for an extra little surprise and also love the card. I never use tags as such, so I'm always looking for ways to stick them to a card. Sorry to hear about the mister. It seems that I have some catching up to do...

Marianne x
Ingenius. Saw your GD tag at Tag Your It! and had to come over and absorb all the deliciousness you had to offer. Those tags are so darn cute...and versatile. Apparently, the multiplied like...I don't know...bunnies, maybe. You have gone into Cuteness land and established yourself. Great tags.

ReplyDeleteKath x
So glad to hear Mr. seems improved, and I hope with rest & exercise, he can avoid that scenario. I'm glad you've healed up enough to play TLC too. Good thing you both got Hammy there to step in if needed. Mr. Bunny is just darling, and those rabbit teeth just made me laugh. Love the eggs paper, and he actually does look quite grounded with the sentiment at his feet. But I like that idea of folding to fit his ears in the envie. Boy Hammy is sure a good helper. Maybe I can borry him to find stuff at this house!!! Love that you have made all these super cute tags, and are you not the clever one to see the CDog and think C/Bunny? Now that takes an artistic eye, and they sure turned out mucho adorable! Big hugs and hope you all have a good, pain free wkend. TFS
ReplyDeletethose are so nice!

ReplyDeleteOh you wascawie wabbit! This is fun and sweet all in one package! Love the colors and that rabbit is perfectly crazy! Tags are fun, and when mine don't go on packages, they go onto cards! You've discovered my secret, lol! I love each and every little sweet tag you've made! And the one on the card is, I think, my favorite. Or is it the top tag? Or the green tag.....? How 'bout if I love 'em all. I'll dig through my stamps and see if I can find a good critter so I can play along, too. And a big Congrats!!!!, for your GD gig at TYI. You so rock! xoxoxoxo Bev
ReplyDeleteDarnell, Sure hope Mister can postpone/avoid surgery. Sending more hugs. And, congrats on your GT gig. Love your cute little tags!
ReplyDeleteLove that crazy-eyed big-toothed bunny. Your tags are going to look awesome on cards or Easter goodies and gifts. When you said there were bunnies everywhere, all I could think was, "Yup, that's how they roll. Where there a couple, there a lot (as long as that couple is male and female. he he).

ReplyDeleteLia xx
Well isn't that just the funniest little bunny wabbit? Such fun tags and GREAT use of snippets.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the Mister is doing well and keeping my fingers crossed it will be enough to prevent surgery.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
What a sweet and fun bunny Darnell, and I love all the different versions you have made using Gayatri's lovely tag as the starting point. Glad to hear that at least there is some improvement in The Mister's back and hope that surgery will not be necessary. I am having my gall bladder removed shortly which is necessary, but something I am not looking forward to, but my gall bladder will be a lot easier thing to go through than a back operation, so keeping my fingers crossed for him. x
ReplyDeleteFabulous bunnies Darnell - what cheeky expressions they have :) I do so hope Kevin's back will improve without the need to surgery - you two seem to take it in turns!
ReplyDeleteRe. the dandelions - I can't say I've ever seen them growing in the Far East so perhaps they're more suited to temperate rather than tropical climates?
Finger are crossed here for the Mister - and would you believe it - not one boo-boo lately for your new challenge. Always the way!
Hugs
Di xx
Congratulations on the GD with TYI. Absolutely darling little bunny tags you have created. I love the expression on his face (no girl bunny would have that expression). Glad to hear the Mister is progressing. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, I scrolled down and got the biggest smile! Scrolled further and got an even bigger smile! Bunnies do tend to multiply. I love that you mailed your tags, too. Glad to hear Mister's back is getting better. A while back my hubby had such an acute episode with his bothersome back his doctor said he had to schedule surgery immediately. But we put it off and the next thing you know he was all better and his doctor said he dodged a bullet. I was sure busy doing double duty during his mending period, so I can imagine you've been busy, too. Good to see you again!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute bunny on your sweet tag Darnell! Glad to hear the Mister is doing better. I've had some pain return after my back surgery and hope that PT will help it. Julia xx

Fab tags. Did they in fact breed like rabbits? Am I allowed to say that? Tags are fun and dare I say a little addictive once you start.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for the Mister and patience holds out :)
Fan-blooming-tagstic!! Great fun. Love your goofy bunny. You know your mistake was to make two bunny cards. Once you have two there's no stopping them.

ReplyDeleteGetting my notifications once again Auntie, Yay!!! OMGoodness, I love your tags Auntie! They are so cute, that bunny just cracks me up! Maxine
LOVE these tags! That goofy bunny smile is adorable, and I cannot say I blame you for making a whole bunch of them. I never make tags, I think I have once made a tag to go on a card. I have no idea why, as I love the look of them, but as with most things, I forget to do them! Wonderful inspiration. I cannot get enough of the cute bunny - PS do the loveliest images. Hope the Mister is continuing to be a good and patient patient and is back on his feet soon. Hugs, Lisa xx
