Thank you, as always, for whooshing through another week to stop by the Playhouse!
If you're here for the Boobie Boo Hoo Boo-Boo Hop and/or NBUS Challenge #11, you've come to the right spot, the linky is below.
If you don't know what I'm talkin' about, Willis, you can find all the details here. I hope you can join in and thank you if you've already played once or twice!
(Some of you have mentioned you didn't know there was a First Annual Boo Boo Hop, so here's a link to that if you want to check it out. Naughty bunnies.)
Today I have a coupla QACAS bunny cards, PG Rated.
"Does this card make my bunny butt look big?"
For some reason I am into using my cream-colored card stock right now. But I've kept my bunnies white because that's the classic Easter bunny color.
Okay, stop it, that's just a lie. I'm not really that deep. They're white simply because I ran them off a month ago not even thinking about it. And then I cut and scored the cream card for the bases this week without thinking about it. I'm shallow like that.
I also used my MFT stitched rectangle dies, snippets of colored paper and pp (YAY!), my PTI bunny, and my sediment from Waltzingmouse's "Compact Sentiments."
~~~
~~~
This design is the same, but different. Here I used my MFT Peek-a-Boo die which I thought was appropopo for the boo boo celebration even though no boo boos were harmed in the making of this no-boo-boo card.
Challenges
Challenges
- Cuttlebug Mania: Easter bunny.
- The Paper Players: Easter bunny.
- Pixie's Snippets Playground: Use your snippets.
- Simon Says Work It Wednesday: Spring has sprung.
~~~
I thought I might also reshare one of my favorite OLC Easter bunny cards. I made this card back in 2012, which means some of you haven't seen it.
A VERY QACAS card. And, no, I'm not left-handed even though the shading goes from left to right. I just like to keep you on your toes. Inside I stamped this thoughtful and sincere verse:
Bwahahaha!😇
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*
As always, thank you for coming by to visit the Playhouse and special thanks to you if you take the time to join as a follower and join in the Second Annual Boo-Boo Hop and NBUS Challenge #11!
I sure did not think I had anything worthy of a post for this challenge...Not that I think I am that good..... until this morning....UGH! Thanks for a fun one. Oh, and when I was adding, it gave me a red message that said to only add my post, not spam...never got one of those, so if there is something weird,I am sorry. Is that part of the April Fools?
ReplyDeleteHa, ha - so you kept it clean did you :) Fabby cards as always my friend. Mwah!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
BożenA
Way to work that Easter vibe...have always loved the bunny butt die. Thought I owned it, but apparently not. Anyway,it looks terrific on that Spring-like pp you've got there. I always forget about my cream cardstock...you've inspired me to dig it out of this mess I have here. And adore the Peek-A-Boo die as a frame. Seems we both have the same taste in stuff. Nearly choked on my coffee when I saw the third card's sentiment...great way to end this visit.
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love your Easter funnery! The bunnies too!
ReplyDeleteSome fabulous Easter/Spring cards Darnell, nice change wit the cream cards, some pretty papers too.
ReplyDeleteYou have had me wracking my brain, I remember it was an American programme but the bulb finally flashed and I remember it as "what you talking about Willis"
Have a good weekend.
I love your adorable bunny cards. And, that sentiment on the last one from a few years back was so funny!
ReplyDeleteAdorable bunny cards, love expecially the second one and that"old" card!! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove all your bunny cards. They are so cute, especially the one with the brown bunnies with their fluffy tails.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Hugs,
Super cute cards.
ReplyDeleteOh Darnell, you keep me giggling and sometimes laughing right out loud. Thank you for that! The cards are darling, and you have reminded me to get out my lil poms for some bunnys. I too am using a lot of cream colored card stock for card bases lately wonder if there is something in the air? Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat bunny cards, Darnell--love that tulip paper!
ReplyDeleteohhhh, such cute bunny cards, and tsk tsk, I did not even pull my PTI bunny stamp set from the cobwebs this year! I totally forgot about it until I saw this post! Love all the cards, especially the sentiment inside the last one! ROFL!! Thanks for the great chuckles today :)
ReplyDeleteBunny butts...Oh girl, you crack me up!! (get it...'crack'....) Sorry. Darling cards, pookie. I do so love the creamy bases with the white bunnies. Those little critters take more of stage center that way, in my opinion. And the pretty dp is the most perfect choice for your pops of color, too. I vote for most adorable bunny butts of the year. And I remember the 'chocolate covered raisin' card... Still makes me laugh till I snort! Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend, and I miss you tons and tons!!! xoxo Bev
ReplyDeleteA beautiful bounty of bunny butt cards!
ReplyDeleteBoth are so cute. Perfect for Easter or a sweet birthday. I have to admit, when I read your title, I thought of that movie trailer, "Sing" where the bunnies are shaking their...um... tails.
ReplyDeleteYour sweet bunny cards are very cute. I even like the white bunny on the cream-colored card base. I think it's a nice contrast and duly highlights the bunny. Your 2012 card made me chuckle. Love the silly sentiment.
ReplyDeleteFabulous bunny cards, just so cute! The sentiment on your oldie made me giggle, especially as we call bunny poo bunny currents in this house! Hugs, Cara x
ReplyDeleteLove the white bunnies on the gorgeous paper for the first two cards - so pretty and cute! The 2012 card is gorgeous too with row of bunnies and the sentiment is hilarious! Hugs xxxxxxx
ReplyDeletethose are so cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards as always ..... love those cute little bunnies. The sentiment gave me a giggle too. Have a fabulous weekend xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fantastic Darnell, I really love the cream card and the stitched borders on the second one look beautiful. The bunny tails on your card from way back then just cracks me up, they are just so cute! Hope you are having a good weekend. Hugs, Annie xxx
ReplyDeleteLove your bunnies! And, I swear, we are related because *I* do the same thing - make a die cut, or color, or something and then just use it 'cause it works. And I lie, too, but don't tell. You made me literally laugh out loud! Love you! XOXO Christi
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bunnies!
ReplyDeleteHope the bunny finds you and I will be on the look out for those chocolate covered raisins!
Sweet bunny cards, Dolly! Love the bright patterned paper for your background. I do love that peek-a-boo window and might need to get that die! Thanks for sharing the 2012 bunny card ... another great design, my friend! Lolly xx
ReplyDeleteLove the cream colored card stock and sweet and funny bunny cards! The welcome spring with bunny over the patterned paper is simply beautiful Darnell!
ReplyDeleteThose bunny butts are so cute, Darnell ... and so pretty sitting in their wildflower meadows! Don't recall seeing the 2012 card (maybe I wasn't in blogland at the time) ... anyway, the front is adorable ... the inside ... hahahahaha ... I really shouldn't be drinking tea when I read your posts! D wondered if that sentiment was warning people about bunny poo ... as if!! LYAMYLMAWYASS! Big hugs & bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI love your Easter cards Auntie! The DSP is so springy and pretty! Love the stitched rectangles too. But it is the cute backside of that bunny I'm loving! lol Just too cute!! I'm still coveting that window die, might have to splurge and buy it! Your bunny card from 2012 is so cute!!!! Love those little bunnies on the front, but it is that sentiment that had me cracking up! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWhat cute cards and that chocolate saying is fabulous and fun!
ReplyDeleteAdorable bunny butts!
ReplyDeleteLove your bunny butts Darnell ! These cards are gorgeous! I didn't see this card before since I was not on blog land but today I'm happy to see them and to read your funny posts! I just laughed on loud when I read this sentiment ! Love your pick a boo window, it's on my wish list among so many others ! Thanks so much for sharing and for these fabulous challenges !
ReplyDeleteHugs
I've been away in Amsterdam for Onstage hence my late visit to you this week Darnell! A cute collection of cards and a hilarious blog post as always! Thanks for sharing your creation with us at The Paper Players.
ReplyDeleteYou always use your patterned paper so well Darnell, I am completely useless at using mine in any creative way at all. I must try harder! Your bunny cards are of course adorable and I am happy to hear no boo-boos were involved! I on the other hand tried to make a card the other day and was left wondering if it would be easier to write a 200-page bill on climate change than actually make anything half way decent. So go you for 2 cards, and I got the added bonus of seeing those little furry tails from a few years ago - LOVE!! hugs, Lisa xx
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't I see this post earlier? I want that Peek-a-boo die but already ordered and received other products. :( Oh, well those darling bunny tails will cheer me up.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute bunny cards, great color combos and amazing dies, Darnell!
ReplyDeleteI need take a page from your crafty book and start using up some of the PP I have collected over the years ~ there is hardly space for one more sheet let alone the entire 12X12 48 page stack I just bought at Michael's :-o
I've always loved this PTI bunny Die and it looks darling atop the patterned paper. I chuckled about the white vs cream bit...and especially when I read the sentiment on the inside of the throwback card. Ha!
