NBUS Challenge #12 ~ Day Seven!

Hello, Stamplings!

Welcome to Day Seven of our ten-day challenge to USE NBUS! For all the details on the history, rules, and prizes, please go here. If you have a card to enter today, the linky tool is below!

So here we go with today's laughs! I only used two sediments, but I made six cards because I wanted to ink up all six of these fun NBUS Katzelkraft dogs!
Background is pp, bottom border is Washi tape. The sediment is from "Funny Bones" by Riley & Company. The pile of crap was cut from a roll of Washi tape I have that is a long series of face emojis, along with the pile of poo poo! (I drew the stink and shadow lines.)
This is super QACAS with a double-row of Washi tap for a top border. And isn't he so proud that he did his business?!

~~~
Below are four more dogs and a bone from the NBUS Katzelkraft set, decorated minimally with Washi tape or a bit of coloring or googly-eyes.
Aren't they such great drawings by the artist?!
~~~

Some of you have asked where I find all these funny sediments. A few of them are from my early days of stamping and the companies are out of business. If I know the name of the stamp or the company, I am putting that information on each post and then you just need to Google where to find it in your area. If you would like information on the 5-mile sediment, please let me know. Another source for fun and snarky sediments (besides Google) is The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

~~~
Off you go now! USE that NBUS!! You're doing great! I hope you are finding some time to visit the other ladies in the gallery, too, and leave them some love and thanks for their cool design ideas!
NBUS Challenge #12 ~ Day Six!
Hello, Stamplings!
Welcome to Day Six of our ten-day challenge to USE NBUS! For all the details on the history, rules, and prizes, please go here. If you have a card to enter today, the linky tool is below!
Are you sick of seeing me every day? Hee-hee, I told you I had a LOT of cheeky sediments to amuse you! On tap for today:
This gorgeous young thang is from Art Impressions and she's called "Rhonda With Hat." You've met her before, but the sediment is NBUS from Verses Rubber Stamp Co. She was colored with Ziggies and bordered with Washi.
And then we have her twin sister, also called Rhonda:
I know, so bad! But I have to say I'm now at an age where this actually happens!! So does the bad flush I get from a tiny bit of exertion!
I'm going to be serious for a minute. That's a fun boob sediment, but breast cancer is not funny, so it's a timely card to remind us that next month is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Time to make those yearly donations and set that appointment for your mammogram squishing!
NBUS Challenge #12 ~ Day Five!
Hello, Stamplings!
Welcome to Day Five of our ten-day challenge to USE NBUS! For all the details on the history, rules, and prizes, please go here. If you have a card to enter today, the linky tool is below!
I'm so glad you are enjoying my humor theme for this NBUS Challenge! I'm sure having a lot of fun making these cards. But mostly, I'm having fun seeing how many of you are getting in there and getting yourselves dusty bringing your NBUS into the light of day!
This time I went UBER-doober-CAS! This is like QACAS on steriods! It doesn't get any easier that this ...
I don't know why, but this kind of goofball simple comment karacks me up! This NBUS sediment is from Cheeky Monkey.
Now I don't often say this, but I think it was pretty genius of me to add the strip of numbered Washi tape. Right? I mean, that way the person's age is on there somewhere and shazamban, suddenly a very sterile card becomes more personal! Right?!
Of course, this is all in cheeky jest. This is a card you would only send to those friends you have previously showered with gorgeous colored and/or layered and/or bejewelled and beribboned creations because they know your normal handmade cards are true works of art!
~~~

Okay, so then what happened was Hammy took over. Being a genius made me very tired. He reminded me that I said recently, "if I don't start making some Christmas cards, I'll be sending out blank white cards with a note inside!" Remember that?

Well, Hammy remembered, so when he saw the above card, he grabbed his tiny package of Sharpie pens and did this!
Eh? Hmmm? Who's the genius now?!

I didn't get a chance to add a festive strip of Christmas Washi tape, but I promise I'll do that before I send this card to you!

I'm adding this to Maureen's Rudolph Days Challenge as my second entry.

~~~
Off you go now! Use that NBUS!!
Thank you to all of you who have already played once, twice, or three times!
Enjoy the challengeNo, seriously, enjoy!
NBUS Challenge #12 ~ Day Four!
Hello, Stamplings!
Welcome to Day Four of our ten-day challenge to USE NBUS! For all the details on the history, rules, and prizes, please go here. If you have a card to enter today, the linky tool is below!
Here are my cards for today. They all feature sketchy lady stamps designed by Artist Emerson Quillin. These stamps come with their own snarky sediments, but I took some artistic license as indicated.
The base matting is a piece of glittery pp. The NBUS sediment is from Rubber Dance Stamps. The splatter dots are from Stamps By Judith.
Sediment from River City Rubber Works. I added the doodle border by hand. I'm entering this card in the Cards in Envy challenge, which is "Easy as 1-2-3."
This is a NBUS Emerson image with the sediment that comes with it. I added the hearts, and the frames are from Impression Obsession dies. It looks like it might be one white frame, but it's actually two red frames. Relax your eyes  and cock your head and I think you'll be able to see them. No? Maybe try a sip of my wodka and then look again.
I'm entering this card in the challenge at Shopping Our Stash: "Not your mama's card!"
~~~

Off you go now, chuckling all the way! Use that NBUS!!
Thank you to all of you who have already entered! I'm enjoying my journey through the gallery, slowly, but Shirley!!

Enjoy the challengeNo, seriously, enjoy!

NBUS Challenge #12 ~ Day Three!

Hello, Stamplings!

Welcome to Day Three of our ten-day challenge to USE NBUS! For all the details on the history, rules, and prizes, please go here. If you have a card to enter today, the linky tool is below!

Thank you to all of you who have already entered! I love the enthusiasm!!

I have two cards for Day Three:

The beautiful NBUS sediment from Hero Arts is not funny, but I'm hoping you find the card itself humorous, given the look on the face of that jiraffe with a knot in his kneck ~ maybe from carrying around a jiant jingle bell! The giraffe is a NBUS stamp from Katzelkraft which I colored with pencils and Ziggies.

Here's a closeup of the metallic red jingle bell I cut from a Lil Inker die.
I just love that side eye and the way the artist drew the mouth. Our dogs would look just like that after they'd done something naughty!

Challenges
~~~
So what happened was a few weeks ago was my friend Susan sent me a funny cartoon perfect for us card artists:
Har-Har! Corny, but pretty cute, right?
Some of you might remember that we have a niece who recently became a doctor. Her name is Kathrine and she chose her specialty at the same time Susan sent me the cartoon.
Well, so, given her specialty, Hammy insisted that I make Kathrine a personal card! I used the "cardiologist" cartoon above for the front of the card ... and then I hand-drew my own cartoon using her specialty on the inside and typing the sediment on the computer:
Groooooan?! I couldn't resist! (BTW, I know it doesn't look like Kathrine gave the gentleman very good news, but I'm sure with diet, exercise, and some medication, he'll be able to change the path he's on for the better!)
Off you go now! Use that NBUS!!
NBUS Challenge #12 ~ Day Two!
Hello, Stamplings!
Welcome to Day Two of our ten-day challenge to USE NBUS! For all the details on the history, rules, and prizes, please go here. If you have a card to enter today, the linky tool is below!
My card for Day Two:
I have so many friends who would love this naughty Halloween card with a NBUS sediment from Riley & Company! Somehow those frolicking giggling ghosts make it less offensive!
I'm entering this card at Moving Along With The Times, where the brief is to use a sediment as the focal point with no other stamped images.
~~~

Oh, wait, speaking of shenanigans, I forgot to show this photo the other day:
Are we all looking in a different direction?! That's funnier to me than my attempt to do the hokey-pokey and shrink myself because they put shorter Lois behind me! You can see she is on her tipply toes. Too bad you can't quite see Hammy in my right hand!

~~~
Off you go now! Use that NBUS!!
Enjoy the challengeNo, seriously, enjoy!
My card.
Mother Nature has put us through a few rough weeks with fires and floods and earthquakes and wind all around the world, so I will be focusing on HUMOR with my NBUS cards for this challenge.
I love snarky sediments and have accumulated a few over the years, but they can be hard to use for specific challenges or events, so this will give them an opportunity to feel some inky love and hopefully bring you some smiles!
Is this perfect for opening day of this challenge, or what??!!
I can't remember now where I first saw this hysterical sediment, but I had to have it immediately. It is from Simon Says Stamp. The little crazy stamping lady ("Mad Stamper") is from Uptown Design, and the "Life is Good!" border is simply a double layer of Washi tape from Mike's.
I can't wait to see the amazing creations you make and enter below using one or more item of Never-Before-Used-Schtuff!! Thank you very much for participating and for being incredible followers and supporters and friends! Your friendship and your encouraging comments keep me going! MWAH!
If you have any questions, please use the Contact Me form on the side bar or email darnell dot knauss at gmail dot com.
Feel free to let me know in your comment which prize you prefer if you're a winner. I will post the winners as soon as possible.
Enjoy the challengeNo, seriously, enjoy!
Viscous Circle Warning: Participating in the NBUS challenges will diminish your stash of NBUS! Yay! Unfortunately, because part of participating in the NBUS challenges is visiting the other gallery entries and leaving comments, you will find yourself experiencing severe PE (Product Envy). This, in turn, will cause you to purchase more NBUS and your stash will grow.
