Greetings, Stamplings!
Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and your plans for this week are shaping up well. We had a beautiful fall weekend. Crisp and clear with bright blue skies after our rainy week and Thursday looks like it will be sunny and dry for our Thanksgivingpig-out feast. That's always nice so the kids and dogs can play outside.
I'm getting inspiration from several challenges for my Christmas cards. What would we do without our challenges? They are all definitely on my Thanksgiving gratitude list!
Here are a few cards Hammy and I made this weekend.
The inspiration for this card came from the TIME OUT challenge where we are to CASE (copy and share everything) the talented Michele Ferguson with our own little twist. My twist is that I made my CASE of Michele's thank you card into a Christmas card. There is a slight shadow from the sun on the bottom half of the word "Noel," but looking at it straight on, the word is completely hidden! This was fun to make and used a lot of my Christmas pp, so I made several!
This card was an absolute bugger to photograph between the dark navy card base and the gold-embossed sediment. The view below shows a bit better how the entire card background is splattered in fine gold, but it still doesn't do justice to his golden Winked tunic.
~~~
Finally, here's another example of how pretty a tag can look just popped onto a card base. This was the little reindeer tag I posted not too long ago. I thought the woodgrain pp made a lovely backdrop for the dear little deer!
I'll be offline for a few days (except to pop back with a Thanksgiving card on Thursday) for the happy reason that the twins have this entire week off so Papa and I get to have them to ourselves for a while starting tomorrow! Yippee!!
~~~
Enjoy your day! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*

Many of you will recognize that this little elf was inspired by the current Less Is More challenge where we are celebrating DT member Susan's birthday and CASEing her adorable Christmas card. My NBUS elf is from The North Pole Hero Arts and so is the sediment.

A delightful trio of fun in this post Darnell! All your cards are so sweet. I especially like the hidden message card. That is always a fun technique with a great "WOW" factor. Enjoy your time with your little ones and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well!
Beautiful cards especially the first one!,
Great cards. Enjoy your time with the twins. Sounds like fun. [Bunny]
Dear Darnell, all cards are fantastic. The tag-card with the little deer is my favourite in today's bouquet of christmas cards.:-)
Enjoy your week with the twins!
Sonja
What a darn cute Elf he is . Unlike that wretched one that comes and visits me each year. Hugs Mrs A.
What lovely card. My favorite is the fun elf! I haven’t seen that stamp before. Have a great day!
Tree fabulous cards Darnell...you and hammy have been very busy.I think the hidden word card is especially genius! Hope you have a wonderful time with your grandchildren and Happy Thanksgiving to you all xx
A fabulous CASEing of Michelle's pretty card and I adore the colours Darnell, and who wouldn't want that cute pixie and a great way to use all those pretty papers, and finally that sweet deer tag looks wonderful mounted on the woodgrain background. Have a great week with the boys and a really Happy Thanksgiving. x
The noel card is so pretty and the elf makes me smile. That deer with the pink bow is so sweet and the tag is gorgeous. How great the twins will get to spend some time with you this week. Have a wonderful time and great Thanksgiving.
Your CASE-card looks great! Good idea to use a light DP for the upper part! Thank you for joining us at TIME OUT again!
And I do love the woodpaper behind the tag! Hugs, Gerrina
Great progress! Love the hidden word. Gosh, I still have some of that paper, too. Your elf is winking cutely with all the gold, and the gold splatters on dark blue are fantastic. I always love wood grain. Truly perfect for your tag. Enjoy your Thanksgiving week!
See this is why I have you...to give me ideas. Like the use of patterned paper (of which I have a ton) for making those camouflaged sentiment Christmas cards. It must be so difficult for you and Hammy...being so clever and all. Forgot about the Less Is More challenge, but since you're entering that adorable elf, not sure I'll enter. You've been on such a winning roll lately...and that card is a sure winner. You were right in choosing the woodgrain paper for the tags background...it looks like it belongs there.
Such beautiful cards as always Darnell and I'm thrilled to see you were inspired to CASE Susan's card at Less is More. Your elf looks like he could be up to some sort of mischief but that's what they're about isn't it. Love the first icy snowflake card and your tag is simple classy elegance. Hmmmm may have to CASE that myself. thanks for joining in at LIM and happy thanksgiving. x
A fabulous trio of cards Darnell ! Your CASE on Michelle's card is a stunner ! The pp is just wonderful and the word so well hidden ! Your reindeer tag is so gorgeous too, your colours combo is so elegant ! And finally your CASE on Susan's card is a delight ! This little elf (as if an elf could be tall !) is so adorable in his golden tunic ! Love the delicate golden splatters on the dark background ! Love it ! I wish you a fabulous week with your grandchildren and Happy Thanksgiving ! Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Less is More ! Hugs xx
Have a wonderful time with the boys, Darnell--I know you will! The Christmas card is a stunner--absolutely love it! Gotta dig out that paper pad & use it like you did for the tag--one of my favorites! Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family. I count your friendship as one of my blessings. Hugs, Greta
Stunning projects, as usual, Darnell. I am really smitten with your CASE of Michelle's card. Very fun with all those snowflakes. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.
Lovely selection of cards Darnell, beautifully designed, I especially love the one with the tag and that lovely little dear.
Have the most wonderful time with the Twins, Kate x
Awesome CASEs, Darnell. I recognized which challenges you were entering before I read your post. Love the colour of your TO card. Your elf is adorable. Thank you for joining us at this week at Less is More.
Have a great day! xx
Awesome CASE and gorgeous other projects you made. I really like the deer tag. That is really neat. Thanks for sharing them and you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I LOVE the Noel card, what a fab idea. And the beautiful dear deer, I can see why you are encouraging us to careerist the tags, youre a clever stick. Have a lovely week with those lovely twins, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Gosh, you have been busy, Darnell ... what a lovely treat to see a three-fer! That little reindeer does look rather perfect with the woodgrain background, deliciously rustic with a touch of glamour in the gold stripes! What a richly coloured and bold elf against that gorgeous shimmery navy, so eyecatching with the yummy splatters! That snowflake pp with the camouflaged sentiment is just a delight ... fresh, cool and wonderfully crisp, just like frosty snow! Delighted to have you playing along with us at Time Out! Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving, my lovely friend, filled with every blessing ... enjoy every moment! LYAMYMA HYVWTTIW! Big hugs & bisous, Anita :)
Fab look for the hidden-sentiment card and lovely elf on the second one! The gold glittered details look fabulous. Light always makes a lot of mischief! :) The wooden background is just perfect for the reindeer tag!
Have a lovely week and enjoy your grandsons!! :D
Some fabulous creations once again, that Hammy sure is a hard worker. Must admit took me a while to work out the word on the first card, at first I thought it was nod, with a feather large d.lovely papers and colours.
Love the little elf and all the gold against the navy blue.
Super tag a really cute reindeer.
Hope you have a fabulous week and a great Thanksgiving.

Oh my, these are all so pretty and sweet!
Enjoy your week and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Your hidden sentiment card is FABULOUS Darnell...had to really look to see it and then I get all excited like "I found it! I found it!" But anyway, I really liked it! And your sweet little elf card too with all the bold color...too cute! And I loved your tag as just a tag too, but I love it on the card base too...smart thinking my friend!! Hope you and the Mister and Hammy all have a wonderful time celebrating Thanksgiving with the boys and the rest of your family, and thank you so much for the beautiful Thanksgiving card...always a joy to receive "happy mail" Take care and enjoy your week!! :0)
Pretty snowflakes and peek-a-boo noel! And the elf is adorable with his golden vest! I love the tag on the woodgrain background too! You've been busy! Enjoy the boys and Happy Thanksgiving! We are really enjoying our Thanksgiving greeting. Thank you. xoxo

You've been busy, what a fsb collection of cards. Love the Noel design and the little deer is so cute. Have fun with your grandkiddies and have a lovely Thanksgiving xx
And my word, what a great job you and Hammy have made of all of these super makes, Darnell. I could sure use a Hammy of my own sometimes!
Kathyk
They are gorgeous, Darnell xoxo
Wow Auntie, you and Hammy have made some fabulous cards here! That Noel card is just stunning-now I wish I had a die cut Noel cause I would CASE this card! I love that sweet little elf, he is just adorable. The stripped paper makes this card so festive and then the gold just puts it over the top! Don't have any elves either. I think I need to add some NBUS to my stash. lol Then there is that deer tag card, oh my goodness that is just adorable! I love how you made the tag kinda look like a paint chip. That deer is just as sweet as it can be with is red nose and cute bow. Love the tag mounted on the wood grain paper too. Just fun cards-you and Hammy work well together! Happy Thanksgiving Auntie!!! Hugs, Brenda
Your first card is so clever, I love that the word is hidden! The little deer tag looks amazing added to the card base, it is such a lovely idea, I think I need to 'borrow' that one!
You will no doubt be having great fun with the twins and the dogs by now and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving too. Thank you so much for your beautiful card, it was lovely to receive some happy mail! Big hugs, Annie xxx
Good job for you and Hammy to get getting some holiday cards done. Can you send him my way to help out? I can offer up some sunflower seeds in bribes.
Fabulous hidden message and what a great way to use that fabulous tag. Fun second card with such a great image and loving the splats and the bling on the tunic! Enjoy the twins x
Gosh your first card is extremely clever and very effective and I love your tags especially the cutie little reindeer, he's adorable.
Thank you so much for your very kind comments on my blog, it was very nice of you to stop by. I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving x
Oh I LOVE your take on Michele's card!! The winter theme is so fun!! I also LOVE that little tag you popped on to the third card. Oh so clever!! Have a great Thanksgiving!
Very merry Christmas cards! I need to try one with the "hidden" sentiments. Haven't done that yet. Enjoy your time with your grandsons, and Happy Thanksgiving!
These are just fabulous, I can't pick a favourite!
always wonderful and inspiring to come for a visit.
Love your gorgeous card, such a great case!! Adorable little tag cards too.
:) xx Karen
What fabulous cards Darnell, like the soft peacefulness of the first one, the elf card is fun and cheery and the reindeer card is charming!
Brilliant cards, Darnell! I love your use of designer paper in your TIME OUT card, such beautiful colors! That large sentiment die is a stunner. I so so so sympathize your photographing problems with the LIM card -taking photos has been such a pain lately here too but mainly because it's either dark or raining... Some sun every now and then would be a fun chance!! Love the combo of gold and navy. Thanks for joining us at Less Is More and Time Out!
Beautiful projects, Darnell! They are so festive. You and your hubby are so lucky to have your grandsons for the week. Have tons of fun😘
Darnell, Wonderful creations... as always! Just popping in to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with those precious grandtwins. :)
Super projects Darnell. Enjoy the grands and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Hi Darnell
A superb array of festiveness.
Hope you are having a great Thanksgiving Day and enjoy your time with Henry and Adam.
Best wishes.

Three very cool cards. The Timeout card is fantastic, love the colour and great design.
Lovely cards and plenty of inspiration. I feel your pain when it comes to photographing projects to show glitz and sparkle - use a flash and it blows out the rest of the colour - don't use flash and you lose the sparkle - put it in bright sunshine or under lights and you get shadows everywhere - but then, we are crafters not photographers!! TFS x Anne
CASEing has always been one of your fortes, Darnell, and those two cards are a prime example of how you take someone else's card and make it your own. The choice of woodgrain paper was perfect for the darling deer tag.
