I have to admit this very clean and simple card brings my CAS-loving heart a lot of joy! To make the pom-poms, I glued a few strands of embroidery thread together and then snipped the ends. The punched star and JOY sediment were heat-embossed in white. That beautiful textured paper is ancient from my hoard stash. Remember the colored corduroy clothes we loved back in the day?

Yummy cards Darnell. The star with the Brusho background is immense - my fave I think! x
ReplyDeleteLovely cards, Darnell. So full of fun. Very festive for the season. Thanks for the giggle, too. :)
ReplyDeleteCute mittens card. I love the brusho star cards. Beautiful. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteI am headed through the garland-dressed archway for my blanket. I will join the coffee line after my nap. That is a cute card with the mittens and pom pom. I really love the brusho background on the star and the inside of the card. I was happy to hear you had sunshine instead of all the rain in the west. Enjoy the extra time with the twins.
ReplyDeleteAll three cards are so eye catching Darnell. Love the blues and greens.
ReplyDeleteCAStastic cards Darnell, I love them all especially the mittens
ReplyDeleteJane

ReplyDeleteThe first card is great inspiration, super CaS and I just love blue...but the star-cards won my heart this time; love the different vibrant colours and I am so into stars at the moment...so... Enjoy the weekend and don't let the holiday-stress get you! Hugs, Gerrina

ReplyDeleteYes indeed Darnell, how did we get to December so quickly ?
ReplyDeleteThree superb creation, the first in particular so beautifiully CAS and elegant, there again the stars are pretty stylish as well.
I wanted to thank you for your kind visit and words the other day, I don't get out and about into blogland as much as I would like, or maybe it's more that everything seems to take me so long nowadays, usually correcting all the typos my fumble fingers make.

ReplyDeleteHi Darnell, Fab cards.
ReplyDeleteI got all my envelops written up with stamps last week. Today got all the cards written up, so now sealed and ready to pop into the post box. I have two parcels and three Air Mail ones, which I will have to take to the Post Office. I however don't feel smug, as I only had 38 cards and all but about 6 were bought ones.
Hope you enjoy what's left of your weekend. Sue
Yep--I'm in full holiday panic mode here--haha! So silly--I'm retired & have plenty of time, but the problem is lack of self-discipline. Keep making cards & reading blogs when I need to be mailing cards, decorating & baking, but I'm happy--haha! You seem to have tons of mojo at this busy time, Darnell--Love every one of these cards! The soft blue is gorgeous, but the Brusho behind the star is my favorite! Now I see how neat that die is! Sending hugs, Greta
ReplyDeleteLove the greens and blues of the brush's and such a glorious CAS blue card x
ReplyDeleteSweet little mittens, Dolly! Love the pom poms! I also LOVE that star! Either way you punch it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful cards! I'm especially drawn to the 2nd card with the embossed frame! WOW! Those colors and that gorgeous star have won me over as much as those cute mittens with the pom pom! I'm crawling off for a little nap now - thanks for the blankie and pillow :)
ReplyDeleteI am totally in love with the inspiration photo and you have done an amazing job with your blue card design, it is beautiful! But, the colourful stars have stolen my heart, they are incredibly beautiful!! Big hugs, Annie xxx
ReplyDeleteThree super makes Darnell, all with super colours and love the mittens and the star, well done for using the left overs too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Wow! These card designs are so fun and fabulous! I love your CAS looks as they still pack a punch with their awesomeness! Have a great weekend and yes, it really is December now. So much going on always in this festive month. But it is fun month too.
ReplyDelete3 gorgeous CAS cards Darnell, love how you made the pompom, you are so creative! That brusho star is just fabulous too, love those colours. I'll be joining the power nap line lol! Cathy x
ReplyDeleteDon't have to tell me twice that it's December...still trying to get my grandkids wish list out of them...the stinkers. But everything else seems to be under control because I still have hair on top of my head. You have garland up already? Okay, now I am getting a bit edgy. I'll sooth myself by taking another look at your wonderful CAS cards. Love the vibe on all three. Now, if I could just calm down enough to stamp these envelopes...wait, after I hang the wreath.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful inspiration. I absolutely LOVE those little mittens. I bought some pom Pom makers recently and this is great inspiration for those. I still think it is September, so I shall probably need to be in line for those pills soon..... xxx
ReplyDeleteNice cards, Darnell! Love the colorful brushos. Wonderful creations!
ReplyDeleteThree fabulous card. Love the sweet mitten with their little pom poms. The colours of the brusho stars is beautiful
ReplyDeleteThree fabulous cards Darnell, and love them all. A great idea to add the embroidery thread as a sort of pom pom on the sweet mittens, and the positive and negative stars are both really pretty using a brusho panel in those gorgeous colours. I am thinking eeek too as I still have quite a few cards to make yet. x
ReplyDeleteLove them all. Love the blue one with the cute mittens.
ReplyDeleteFab cards. The brusho colours are fab.
ReplyDeleteCan you reserve me a mat and some medication? I managed to squeeze in a couple of hours at a charity group christmas party yesterday between birthday festivities! Today I am gearing up to do it all again as my baby is 13 today.
BEautiful cards! Thank you for inspiring!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, especially the two with the star - love the brusho work on them, and the very simple layouts. Had to laugh when you apologized for the sunshine washing out your photos - I'll trade you our grey rainy days we've had all week!!
ReplyDeleteLove the set of Christmas cards, Darnell! The 'little blue number' makes me smile :-) And, the Peace on Earth cards are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love both of your beautiful CAS cards, Darnell! The delicate mittens are so pretty and the pom pom perfect with them. The stars is gorgeous too it almost looks de-bosed.
ReplyDeleteI am so not ready for Christmas ... I need the last two months back ... well maybe not!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

ReplyDeleteSuch fabulous CAS cards Darnell!!! LOVE all three them!! The first one is super cute and the two with the stars look amazing and so festive!
ReplyDeleteI have to learn making this type of cards, because I'm always without time, in every season!! But I can't try making CAS without add, add, and add things on the first layer, so I think there isn't hope for me... LOL :D
Hugs

ReplyDeleteThose cool, brusho background stars are delicious, Darnell ... I adore the crisp graphic lines with the unstructured style of the colours. Those mittens ... well, can you believe it, the exact same ones are on my desk at this very moment (from our last LH trip), waiting to be turned into magical cards. I LOVE what you did with them, especially that embroidery thread pompom. I was about to ask where the card came from and you answered ... it really is rather splendid! LYAMYHMAKGWTCCs! Big hugs & bisous, Anita :)
