Hello, Stamplings!
Happy Happy Hum Day! I've decided to call it hum day rather than hump day. Wouldn't it be lovely if we all went around humming all day on Wednesdays?! I hope you'll join me!
Now keep in mind some people might not be in the mood for it until it catches on. Don't be surprised if the guy in front of you at the grocery checkout whips around and hisses, "Waderu so happy 'bout. eh?!" The first time it happened to me, I withered like a petunia in the desert heat. Now I just smile sweetly and say, "Cuz I'm irritating you!" No. Stop it. That's not what I say! That would defeat the whole porpoise.
In that spirit of cheerfulness I have two hopeful cards today:

Both of these cards were made with my NBUS STAMPloration stamps from the "New Beginning" set designed by my talented artist friend, Deepti Malik. I'm so glad I found this forgotten set as it stamps and colors like a dream and the messages are all uplifting!
I painted the top kraft card using my Wink of Stella colored brushes and the bottom card was colored with my Ziggies and then winked. There are five sediment verses with the two sun stamps, all of them beautiful and encouraging!

Hi Darnell, Loving both cards.
Hope you have a nice daqy. Sue
Beautiful cards Darnell!!
Two stunning cards Darnell and I love the look of the first on kraft card and the pretty colours on both using these super stamps, and lots of beautiful winking too. I'm assuming by now you will have had your other eye done and hope all is well and not too much fuzzy vision. x
Beautiful colors on these cards. Love the sparkle. [Bunny]
I love all the sparkles! Those of us with misophonia really, REALLY hope your humming idea doesn't really take off. :) It would be better I guess than whistling Wednesday though which would send me running for a padded room. Okay wait..... if my padded room had all my stamping supplies maybe that wouldn't be a bad thing!
Enjoy your day, Darnell!
These cards have such a positive and uplifting message. Thanks so much for sharing them! The sparkles make me want to smile, too. Beautiful work! I like your idea for Wednesdays. People might look askance at you, but that'll keep 'em guessing! I'm so glad your first challenge was successful. That's got to be a wonderful feeling. Hope your cataract procedure went smoothly and that soon you can see with extra clarity! Hugs!
I'm so happy to see these beautiful cards with such wonderful messages today from you. Makes me feel like everything is right in your world and the surgery went well and you are on the road to seeing these scenes and sunrises in perfect clarity after this. I'm thrilled for the participation in the Twofer Challenge and can't wait for next month.
This are two amazing cards inspired by the words! I like simply design and great effect. :-)
Congratulation to the success of the first Twofer Challenge! :-)
Hugs,
Sonja
Those sentiments are uplifting and inspiring. Those stamps are amazing. The designs are beautiful. Continued good health to you!
Oooo! What great images and inspiring sentiments! I will have to check them out. You made such lovely cards.
Card perfection times two. These are just beautiful, dear friend. The simplicity of these designs with their lovely subtle colors, makes my eyes and heart happy! I hope by today your eyes are a little happier too. Don't overdo things, we'll be here, so don't strain those peepers! Anyway...Love your cards and hope that things continue to go well. BTW...your Twofer has started off with a bang! Congrats girlie!!!! xoxo Bev
Two BEAUTIFUL cards Darnell and I love how I can see all the sparkle and shine on both of them...I think I need to come to you for photography lessons as mine never show up! Love the sentiments on both cards too...maybe I need to go check that stamp set out!! Hope both of your eyes are doing well and that you've healed up wonderfully!! Take care! Hugs! :0)
What encouraging cards...love this set, as well. Unfortunately, mine is still NBUS (don't ask). I've been a bit of a slump lately but you've encouraged to soldier on. Love your coloring especially the one with the colored WOS brushes. For some reason my pea brain had not thought of that. Hope your new eyes are continuing to improve.
Beautiful cards Darnell and the messages are wonderful. I love the idea of hum day, however hum does have other connotations in deepest Dorset and is often associated with smelly cheese as in "oooh aaaar that there cheese has a bit of a hum about it"!! xx
Oh wow, these are so stunning!! The images are so gorgeous!! I love the colors of both!! And what beautiful sentiments!! Love these!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

Darnell, your cards are wonderful and I love the uplift. So many things in this world are not joyful, that the messages these cards send make my heart happy. I especially loved the coloring on kraft. I am going to have to try this. Your white card has just the perfect amounts of color. These might be my top two favorites so far this year.
Hugs.
Happy Hum Day. Everyone I've met today has complained about the weather so humming would be a vast improvement. I love these cards and these stamps. I'm wondering how I missed them. x
Two fabulous CAS cards and great sentiments!
Many congratulations on the huge success of your unique and fun challenge. The gallery is looking amazing x Wonderful cards today....thank you for the inspiration x
Two stunning cards Darnell, love all of the gorgeous glitter.
Sue xx
Both of your cards are positively lovely, Darnell! Thank you so much for sharing them. I love your opening sentences, too:)
OMG! I love your cards, your new challenge fun and your 'humming' idea! I'm going to try that! You always make me smile (or down right belly laugh) at your antics! How funny that would be if you actually did reply to some sour puss like that! BWAH!!! Thanks for being YOU!!
Hi Darnell,
I'm still on furlough and can't wait to get back to the craft room, but I've just had a good long visit through what I've been missing, and you have been up to all sorts in my absence!!! Firstly I'm so pleased that the eye surgery went well - I didn't realise it was so imminent. Secondly, how great is it that your challenge has got off to such a fabulous start and I'm so sorry to have missed it. Thirdly, you have been so busy making fabulous cards and I have loved browsing through them.
John is doing really well and I'm hoping to be back with my blogging soon.
Sending a big hug
Carol xxx

Fabulous cards, love the colour choices and sparkle x
Hi Darnell,
2 wonderful cards yet again they are both so brilliantly created.
They look like Art Deco windows as they use similar designs in Art Deco homes in the Uk.
Not sure if you have tha same in the US.
Lots of crafty love and hugs from my house to yours. Jenny L.
Pretty - love the first with its CAS design but the second one just appealed to my senses. Both are very nice.

These are sparkly CAS beauties! Love how you colored them and captured the Wink of Stella! It must be your photography skills and the California sun! The sentiments are great, too! Off to check out this set and probably make my wish list longer...
We all need some uplifting once in a while, Darnell, and these lovelies will definitely help.
Darnell, I just love both of these. The colors on the kraft are way cool, but that sunrise is stunning. If you want, feel free to link up one of these beauties for our current W2CB New Beginnings Challenge. (Wink, Wink)

There's always a curmudgeon in the grocery line of life! Your cards would brighten anyone's day. They are gorgeously zigged and winked. You should have one handy in your purse next time you're humming in line.
Hmmm hum day, now that's different... have to think on that. What does Hammy have to say about it?
Love your cards Darnell, but then I say that most times as I find your art totally inspiring and worthy of admiration.
Blessings
Maxine
