How are you? I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day if you celebrated yesterday! I am so blessed with my little family, but I know it can be a hard day for some, so I am sending you a big hug if it was sad for you.
We're having lots of blue skies and sunshine, so today I have a bright and bold creation for you, backed by my pretty Azalea bushes.

Using a small piece of acetate, I "painted" my watercolor panel by dabbing spritzed color from my craft mat onto the acetate and then dabbing it onto the watercolor paper in a rainbow design until I was happy with it. The "you" die from Winnie & Walter is popped up and backed by black fun foam. The "are" and "awesome" and the scalloped border die are all from Your Next Stamp.

Henry's sculpture was chosen to be showcased in the city art gallery! I'm sorry the gallery lighting made getting a good photo nearly impossible, but you can see that proud smile and rightly so!
Twofer
I told you in my Twofer Card Challenge post the other day that I would show you what my sweet "fairy" girl looks like on the actual wooden stamp from Penny Black! She is packed up, travel guide in hand, and raring to go!

Hi Darnell, Loving both cards.
Your grandsons sculpture is fab. Not surprised they showcased it.
Hope you have a good start to the week. Sue
Loving your cards Darnell - the rainbow one is stunning, and the travel one, I must ask if Hammy agrees with you that you need to travel more, poor boy being left behind....
I do love the dinosaur, that is amazing, and you and your Grandson have every reason to be proud of it!
Blessings
Maxine

Firstly your bright ad cheery card...love the smarties down the side (smarties are a sweet over here and these dots look so like them)...secondly...my that sculpture is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! he so deserves to be recognised. You have aright to be so very proud of him....and last but by no means least...what a fab image and sentiment...really made me smile...hugs from a sunny UK for a change (it'll rain tomorrow now I have said that).xx

Both cards are fabulous. Love how bright and colorful. Terrific sentiment. The second card is so fun! Great image and funny sentiment. But boy oh boy, that sculpture your grandson made is fantastic! Wow! He should be so very proud. How long did it take him to find the right pieces? How does it stay together? Amazing work. Thanks so much for sharing. Happy day after Mother's Day! Hugs!
The rainbow card is so fun and colorful. I am so impressed with the driftwood dinosaur Henry made. I believe he has inherited your creative art gene because this looks so authentic. And to be displayed in an art gallery is the best endorsement he could get. Great job, Henry. That last card has the right sentiment. Don't put off what you've been meaning to do. Life has a way of changing things no matter what your plans are.
I adore your rainbow background Darnell and the pretty scalloped shape with a great sentiment and love those multi coloured enamel dots, and great to see your fairy minus her wings and with her suitcase packed ready for a big adventure, beautifully coloured too. Henry's driftwood sculpture is fantastic and how exciting to have it on public display, and you must all be very proud. Hope you had a good Mother's Day. x
Love Henry's sculpture! How unique. That's great that it's being showcased!!
That first card not only woke me up but put a big smile on my face too. Love the bright colors. Both cards are wonderful!

You really made me smile today with both of your cards. Happy and fun...who could ask for more. But Henry really has a gift. That sculpture is both innovative and beautiful. So glad that someone else saw and rewarded his talent be showing it in a gallery. That is truly wonderful for him. Congratulaions to Henry.
WOW Henry's sculpture is amazing, he's obviously very talented, well done that boy, and deserved to be exhibited in the gallery.

Your watercolor card is so beautifully colorful, including the rainbow of enamel dots down the side. Love that! How fun to see your adventure girl in her original form. Cute card! It will give your friend a good giggle. I'm particularly impressed with Henry's sculpture. Looking close up, it appears to be coated with something. I have to show this to my hubby. He's talked about taking up driftwood sculpture as a hobby. Amazing work, Henry!
Creativity runs in the family! Henry's sculpture is amazing! At first I thought you were showing us a museum exhibit he went to see on his travels (hence the post title), but that was referring to your second card! Your watercolor card is so bright and fun, and I love the sentiment paired with the cute tourist. I'm still the one handed typist, but enjoying being out and about in blog land today!
What an amazing sculpture! Congrats to Henry -- it well deserves to be on display in the city gallery!
Congratulations to Henry, what a fabulous accomplishment, such a cool sculpture! Love your rainbow watercoloured background!

Those are so fun and well designed. I love both of them Darnell.
Okay, you combined one of my favorite coloring techniques with my absolute favorite font... to create a beauty of a card! Well done, my friend. And, pass along congrats to that artistic grandson of yours. Very cool for him!!!
Your first card is bursting with happy colors. I can almost feel that warm California sunshine when I look at it. Loved seeing the wingless version of your fairy, too. Funny sentiment on that one. We all hope to complete all our adventures before the dementia takes over, don't we? I'm looking forward to a 1200-mile train adventure in a few days. I've always wanted to sleep on a train in a sleeper car, and this is my chance. An adventure that is going to get checked off the bucket list!

Hello there lovely gal! Well done Henry on getting his fantastic driftwood sculpture displayed in the gallery - quite right too, it's brilliant, he's obviously inherited his Grandma's artistic eye :-D. We get some cracking driftwood on our beaches too which face the Atlantic so quite a lot gets swept up in the currents. Love your bright card too, the rainbow smarties down the side are the perfect embellishment!
Hope you're keeping well and happy, I know I don't always comment on your blog but quite often think about you xx
