Hello Stamplings,
I hope this finds you doing great! Hammy and I are still playing with our friends at the retreat, so needless to say, we're delirious and our fingers and paws are very inky and happy.
Today I have a scheduled post with some cards I made using a baby wipe method. There are many ways to use a baby wipe on your card; they aren't just for cleaning your stamps. If you go to the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge, you will find links for videos on the technique and there are prolly more you can find via the you tube.

What happened was, I white heat-embossed my full-size MFT Floral Fantasy Background and proceeded to color it in with my Arteza fine-line colored pens. I wish I had taken a photo of it pre-baby wipe to show you how very vibrant it was. We're talking VIBRANT and for me, it was way too-too, especially with such a busy Zentangle-ish image.
So for the first time ever, I took a baby wipe and dabbed across the panel and by golly, it worked like magic at removing just enough color to make me love it! You can see where I dabbed away with a lighter hand in certain places to leave the card with some dementia.
I popped the colored panel up on a scalloped (PTI) turkoyce fun foam panel and I used a vellum strip for the sticker sediment so as not to block much of the image.

Challenges
- Card Concept: #115 {Mosiac Madness}
- Seize the Birthday: No toppings.
- Ike's World: Embossing.
Twofers
I used the rest of the dabbed colored image to make two QACAS designs. The sediments are from Simon Says Stamp. I used a PTI impression plate for the kindness card and an embossing folder for the praying for you card.

These are all AMAZING!!!! LOVE, love, love the image and the colours you've used to colour it. And I love the technique ... way to go Dolly! You are an ar-tist!! Love, Lolly
WOW ! I LOVE all of them ! Very eye-catching and those colours are just MAGNIFIQUE ! Three great design too. I didn't have time to try this technique but you've just done wonders with it ! Fabulous. Thanks for sharing these beauties ! Hugs x
Love these cards Darnell, the colours are vibrant and lovely. I have that stamp, you are making me think that I must get it out and try something different with it. Thanks for the inspiration xx
I sure would not have wasted that gorgeous paper creation, either. Look at the beauties you were able to squeak out of it! Wow! Just amazing!
Hi Darnell, Those cards are so pretty. I love the colours.
Enjoy what's left of your retreat.
Hope you have had a good start to the week. Sue
Absolutely stunning, I love the stamp, the colours, all the vibrant effects...
Enjoy your time with crafty friends.
Hugs xx
Wow, Darnell ... what a trio ... and what a fantastic debut with one of the many baby-wipe techniques! These are gorgeous ... bold and bright, with a touch of delicacy in your colouring of the intricate background! You look and sound as though you're having heaps of fun and getting lots of time to play ... enjoy every moment during the rest of your retreat! Hi and hugs to the girls too! LYAMYLALMA ... WIWT!! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)
You know, this baby wipe method is going on my to-do list. Really love the softer colors and that intricate white embossing. You got a lot of mileage out of it, too. Looks fabulous on all the card bases you created.
Beautifully coloured and softened with the baby wipe Darnell, and love all three versions especially each of the turquoise layers which complement all the colours in the Floral Fantasy stamped piece. Glad you are having a wonderful inky time at the retreat. x
I hope you're having a grand time.
The cards are lovely. [Bunny]
You are rocking the technique Darnell. Love that you had a large panel that you could use for several cards, that all look awesome! Have a fun time with your pals.
Absolutely stunning cards Darnell, I love the beautiful colours and you did a brilliant job with the baby wipe technique! Hope you are enjoying yourself my friend. Hugs, Annie xxx
I’ve only used baby wipes for cleaning stamps and my workspace. But I can see now they have different arèas of use as well. I do like how the colors came out.
these are so beautiful cards!
Wowza Darnell, these turned out beautifully! Love the colors, marvelous cards!
Oh, my word, these cards are soooooo beautiful, Darnell! I especially love the first because it has a whole lot more of that GORJUSS stamp showing. However, the two with lots of impressed/embossed turquoise showing are splendiferous, as well. I wouldn't have thought of a baby wipe for this, but it did such a nice job of softening up the image. I love the zentangle look of this stamp. You really would need a fine pen. I wonder how fine tip Sharpies would work with a baby wipe, hmmmmm. I have a whole set and hardly use them. I hope you're having fun up there. What am I saying? I KNOW you're having fun!
A beautiful trio of cards! It would definitely have been interesting to see the *before* floral panel, but I will make do with the beauty of the final result. Gorgeous! Thanks for linking up with us at Seize the Birthday!
I've not tried the baby wipe technique, I didn't really fancy it but OMG your cards are STUNNING and I think I have to go and give it a shot right now!
WOW! These look amazing, what a gorgeous stamp, and I love your colours. Have a fab time at the retreat, can't wait to hear all about it xx
Gorgeous as always Darnell and fabulous scalloped and piercings around the edges colour stunning on all of your cards and layouts too have an amazing time take care x
These cards are fantastic Darnell it looks like a great technique. One that I must go and investigate, thanks for the link.
Sue xx
So glad Hammy was allowed to join in the fun and froliks at camp - I am sure we will see his signature paw prints on a card shortly... (hint hint)
Love this fabulous panel Darnell and how you softened the colours to avoid giddiness and colour blindness (like snow blindness) - that would never do!
Fabulous use of not only the main panel but the wonderful snippets too
Blessings
Maxine
Awesome cards! Love the colors!
Have a great day!
Marilyn ❤️
I'm gonna have to try this now, Darnell! These cards are gorgeous! Wowza! Thanks so much for sharing. Thrilled to hear you are still having a blast getting inky!
Great cards using the baby wipe technique. Love the vibrant colors and the design of each of your cards. TFS
Glad you ladies are still having a great time at your retreat.
They are beautiful, Darnell xoxo
LOve the striated colors left behind after wiping... see what I did there?
All gorgeous, D... thanks so much for playing with CTS this week! xx
Now carry on having way too much fun!

What pretty cards. I will have to try the baby wipes technique. Thanks for the inspiration.
p.s. don't you love word correct! In your description, you said, "where I dabbed away with a lighter hand in certain places to leave the card with some dementia." Wouldn't it be great if baby wipes did take care of dementia.
I love how easy it is to get shading using the baby wipes to remove color. These are beautiful, especially the last card. I wish you guys would settle down because you're keeping me up at night with the laughter! I love that you are all together having a great time in a beautiful house creating so many great cards. I'm green!
Oh my, but we are having so much fun in beautiful Crescent Beach, BC surrounded by our very creative and fun friends:-) I think my fingers are going to be permanently inky...a wonderful reminder of how much creative fun we are having. Your baby wipe cards are even more stunning IRL Dolly:-) Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. Hugs...Nancy
I love this technique and am willing to try it. It is still bold in its softness if that makes sense. You were able to create 3 cards and I love all of them.
Beautiful! Love the blue cs that tones in perfectly with the blue in the design. Wonderful use of the baby wipe - great idea to try it with the Arteza pens.
Gorgeous set of cards, love the fresh zesty colours. Emma
Absolutely beautiful cards Darnell! I love the soft colors! They are really pretty. That’s a great idea to use a baby wipe!! Hugs!
What gorgeous cards Darnell and that technique is so good! Love the beautiful colours you used too. Hope you are having a great retreat and I look forward to seeing some of your creations in the coming months.

These are so fantastic! And a great save. I bought baby wipes one time and they dried up on me before I got them used up so I quit buying them. And, I never know what brand is the best to buy either. But I might have to see if I can find a small supply.
Oh, I do need to try that technique. Your trio of designs are fabulous. Love the colors!
Loving your gorgeous cards, Darnell! The colours are glorious, Jo x
I am imagining that you are playing with lots of inky techniques just now with your lovely cohorts. Probably doing a little cavorting too! Your baby wiped cards are gorgeous! So impressive how you captured the look and feel of that Card Concept image perfectly! Enjoy the rest of your time, and shout out a hello for me!
Two beauties! WOW! LOVE that aqua color too.
Lynn
A Gorgeous set of cards, love the colours and the embossing.

Hello Darnell! Your cards have taken me to a tropical beach :-) An incredible journey considering what I have outside the window. This is the ugliest and coldest spring for many, many years in Poland. So when I looked at your cards I felt warmer at the heart. Great colors and great, joyful projects. It was so nice to see your summer cards.
Hugs,
BożenA
Wow absolutely stunning and the most glorious colours. Love the vibrancy of the colours and your designs are unique and outstanding.... real treat for the eyes x. Thank you for joining in the fun CAS Mix Up Challenge x.
Your cards are just lovely!
WoWza ! Thos are really stunning. The colours are fabulous.
Were they really bright enough to burn out your eyeballs before you dabbed them ??? LoL
I hope you will come join our Embossing Challenge at IKEsWORLD Challenges ?

I have never done any projects using baby wipes, but this one you make look pretty easy. Now don't want you and Hammy to have too much fun. You are going to wear Hammy out.
Amazing card and such beautiful colours Darnell great technique with the baby wipes
Anne
Wow, that coloured background is really wonderful!!! Amazing cards!
I have never tried many techniques with baby wipes, I will have a go! :) Thanks for the inspirations!
The way you've used baby wipes on your card is above everything I saw before! Fantastic.
Enjoy playing with your friends!
Hugs, Sonja
That colored panel is gorgeous, Darnell. I do love bright colors but I love the dementia you got with dabbing it down. And how wonderful that there was enough to do two more cards. I love it on the turquoise, whether foam, impressed or embossed. Thanks for sharing your lovely with us at The Flower Challenge.
These are amazing...did I see these at the retreat? How could I miss them? OMG and I didnt even see you take pictures of the cards! They are awesome cards. Thank you for joining us at Seize the Birthday.
Beautiful cards, Darnell! xoxo
Totally ZEN, this card may be vibrant but the colours work so well together with just enough coral to break up the busy-ness. Backed with the blue panel, this pastel card definitely works for me. I must say that I equally love the two others too. Happy you're having a great time, a special moment with special people. A beautiful entry, thanks so much for sharing these at CAS Mix Up! xx
Three stunning cards Darnell, I love the super background stamp and wonderful colours xx
Fabulous! A technique I have never got round to - like so many. I can believe it was vibrant but the end result is so calm and pretty. Hope you're having fun at the retreat. Does the soul good. xxx
I started to comment on this the other night but got sidetracked! Another use for baby wipes and a terrific one at that! Love how these flowers are colored! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
I've never tried using baby wipes Darnell but they have certainly worked a treat on your cards. It must have taken you ages to colour that stamp - I'm not sure if I'd have the guts to wipe over it in case it ruined my colouring! They all look fantastic!
The first card is probably one of my favorite "Darnell" cards, I love the colors and stencil and the die cut -- it is delightful.
These are gorgeous, Darnell! All three designs are unique and wonderful and the baby wipe panels are soo beautiful! I'm so glad that you tried the technique. I think only the people who tried the technique know the "wow!' magic moment.
So glad to hear that you enjoyed the retreat with your crafty friends.
Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up!
