Hello, Stamplings!
How are you? I hope you've been doing well. Hammy and I are back home after a very successful and fun retreat in Indiana. I'll have photos and a recap in a post soon.
I've got loads to catch up on, but I've had to give over a substantial amount of enjoyable time reacquainting myself with the Mister and Miss Nellie. They were both very happy to see me, but Nellie stuck pretty close to the Mister for the first day. Now she's my little shadow again! 🐾
Today is my reminder cards for the current Twofer Card Challenge where the prompt is SWEETS.
This time the sweet element I used on both cards is my NBUS "Party Pops" from Newton's Nook, which, yes, I've had for eons, but better late than never!
Onefer
This is a birthday card that would befit any gender and any age. The stitched elements are from MFT and I believe the NBUS sediment is also from MFT. The plaid pp is from Lawn Fawn. Hammy did a masterful job of winking those pops! It's a simple design to remind you of the grape, orange, and lime Popsicles of your youth. Or, if you're like the Mister and me, they still hit the spot at 8 p.m. when you just need a little sump'n sump'n.
Twofer- Just Us Girls: Frame it.
- Pixie's Snippets Playground: Use your snippets.
- Seize the Birthday: Toppings: For the kids.
The shadows from the sun make this card look a bit messy and cluttered and overladen, which is so unlike me, but it's not so bad in person. The stitched scallop panels are from Your Next Stamp and they were cut from woodgrain specialty papers. The green one is so glossy and purdy.
For this card I unconventionally turned the Popsicle into a cart for carrying pumpkins from GKW. The wheels were surgically removed from a car sticker in my stash. The pretty autumn ribbon was a gift from my friend Lynn. The sediment is from SU. Wallah!

Oh what a stunning pair of cards Darnell - love the 'conventional' use of the popsicles, I think it is the plaid paper and the colours that appeal, oh, and Hammy's awesome winking!
The wagon popsicle is unique - love it, and it's a fun thanksgiving card too :)
Blessings
Maxine
Two fabulous creations! I love your sparkly framed pops, and yes, I still enjoy a good popsicle. Super creative turning the popsicle on it's side and becoming a cart for those beautiful pumpkins. Your creativity always blows me away! Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!
Fabulous cards Darnell - I love the cart!

Two fabulous cards Darnell, I love the colourful one with the matching backing paper and a great idea to use the lolly on it's side as a fence.

Oh my.. I love how you turned that lolly into a cart! Terrific cards! So glad you enjoyed the retreat and I'm sure Nellie and the Mister are happy to have you home!
So happy to hear you had a great retreat/visit! And that you are safe and sound at home again and Miss Nellie is your sidekick again. :) Your cards are wonderful. I adore the bright cheery colors of the first one and how you used the pop as a wagon. So very clever! Great job my friend. I hope you have a great rest of your week! Crafty hugs!
OMG! What a clever idea to turn that popsicle into a cart! Awesome cards! Glad to hear you had a good time on your retreat!
Have a great day!
Marilyn ❤️
You are too clever to make a wheelbarrow out of a popsicle die! Love both of these makes and I'm so glad you're home after a fun and fabulous trip!! Catch your breath now and rest up. A little snuggle time is in order for the family :)
Hello Traveller! Give us a lick...of your popsicle as you say...we say lolly as you well know. Anyway yours look good enough to lick...wonderful flavours...and the one you have turned into a wheelbrrow...what a great imagination you have...bet that was a cider flavour one! Hugs xx
Welcome back, your sweets are fab- especially that wagon how smart! Glad Miss Nellie is back to your side.
Super cute cards! Love the little "wagon". Lynn
I love that cheerful party pop card and how yummy it looks. You are so clever to turn the pop into a wagon for pumpkins. Love that ribbon too.
Wonderful cards Darnell! Love the snippets one of course and the idea of turning the popsicle on its side is flipping (literally!) genius.
So cute that Nellie is back to being like Velcro with you :)
Hugs

Two more great Twofer cards Darnell, and those lollies look so yummy and the bright colours with the background check really pop, and then turning the lolly shape into a cart for your pumpkins is truly inspired, and the autumn tones with that gorgeous ribbon and all set out on those super stitched scallop edged rectangles look really great. I don't think I will get an entry in again this time which I am really sad about, as I have been away too and now am busy doing the things I should have done whilst I was away...lol. Why are there not more hours in the day! x
Welcome home, Darnell. Sounds like a fun retreat.
Awesome twofers. Love your popsicle wagon!... so clever and creative! x
Both cards are a delight, clever girl . Who knew a popsicle could magically become a wooden cart. Wonderful.
Brilliant - love how you turned the ice cream bar on its side to make a wheelbarrow. Just Brilliant. Both cards are very nice.
That popsicle die works perfectly for a wagon, Dolly! Love all that "wood" paper! And the pastel plaid paper is perfect for the trio of sweet treats!
Turning the popsicle into a wagon was brilliant, Darnell. I love how the grape, orange and lime (my favorite) ones match your lovely plaid paper. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
Gorgeous cards.
I think you know how I love the popsicle card. Such rich, delicious colors, all of which can be found in the plaid... so I wonder if that's what makes it so appealing. Beautifully winked with sugary goodness. Really yummy, and it just so happens I enjoy me a popsicle in the evening, as well. Took me a double take to see the popsicle on your Thanksgiving card. That's pretty darned clever! You're just so good at the Twofers!
Oh you clever clever girl!! That wagon is so creative. These are both just terrific!!
Whoda thunk? Not me! I guess I'm too inside the box to come up with such fabulous ideas like use a popsicle for a wagon! Nice! And beautiful cards!
Amazing twofer! Birthday card wakes up memories of summer. Hammy really did a great job with glitters. :-) Idea to transform party pop into wheelbarrow is genius! You have amazing surgery skills. :-) Super nice thankgivings card.

Well, how clever are you! I never would have thought to turn the popsicle into a wagon. But it works! Very cool cards.
Sweet, indeed! Unfortunately I have to skip this, just scrambling to get all my DT cards done before I am going to Amsterdam!!!!
Two beautiful cards and how clever you are with the second...(Somthing I would NOT have thought of doing in a million years. Your creatively always amazes me!
Your icy poles look so yummy! If I hadn't just downed a significant slice of Boston Bun I would be wanting one!
How clever you are to make a cart from an icy pole!
Two fab cards :)
I had to do a double-take on the Thanksgiving card to spot the treat turned into wheel barrow, Darnell. Soooooo clever!! Thanks for more twofer inspiration!!

I'm just doing my DT rounds and am delighted to have it lead to a visit of your blog; I've been so busy that DT rounds are the only time I'm in blogland and I do miss regular visits to your blog and several others.
