Hello Stamplings!
As the title says, I have a Threefer of CEE creations for you. No, that's not a new aaackronym I made up. It simply stands for the letter C in the alphabet soup. You know, just me being cilly.
When I saw the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch last week, it was SO clean and simple that I had to play along, so I made this set of triplet cards. Then I looked out the window and the challenge ended. But that's okay, I'm sharing them anyway because they're cute and they fit other fabulous challenges.
These cute critters are NBUS, from Stampingbella. I embossed the card base with snow. Then I heat-embossed three snippets of icy blue vellum with platinum e/p using three different 'peace, love, and joy' stamps I own. I watercolored the chicklets with my Ziggies, fussy cut them, and popped them on ice. A twist of lemon and they're delish!
Challenges
- Perfectly CAS: Christmas
- Pixie's Snippets Playground: Use your snippets!
- HLS: November CAS: Tis the season.
Twofer
I covered a white card base with a piece of vellum that came speckled in gold. Over that I placed a sediment that was heat-embossed in platinum on vellum. Next, I white heat-embossed this beautiful Waltzingmouse poinsettia on metallic gold paper, fussy-cut it, and attached it to the card front. Hopefully, you can get a sense of the shine and schparkle from the gold and platinum.
Challenges
- The Flower Challenge: Add spots or stripes.
- Just Add Ink: Just choose two: stars, spots, sparkle. My card has spots and sparkle.
- TIME OUT: Celebrations.
Threefer
The underskirt on this pretty card is a background I made using Lindy Magicals. Over that I laid a panel of white which was die-cut with a NBUS Creative Expressions "Poinsettia Edger" die. The sediment is from Hero Arts.
Challenges
- CAS Christmas: Warm and cozy.
- HLS Anything Goes With Dies.
- The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge: Anything goes.

Even though it will be weird to have our Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving, with Thanksgiving being so late, we are having the boys with us today and tomorrow to help put up the tree and decorations. We want to keep up that tradition because they'll be all grown up soon. If all goes well, there will be a 2019 photo posted soon, but I shake my head as I type this ... doesn't it seem like you just saw the 2018 photo of them with the tree?! Anyway, I'm glad they're here because Hammy has been off visiting his family and even with sweet Nellie here, I always miss him when he's away.🐹
Enjoy your weekend! No, seriously, enjoy! LITS!*

You do so many styles, so beautifully. The three cards are so cute and funny but the touch of blue and the embossing makes them quite beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteYour poinsettia is classic elegance and your final card has such a fabulous colour twist.
So glad I managed to get to leave you a comment before the inevitable hordes descend on your blog!
You’ve spoilt us today Darnell with all your lovely cards...love love love the cuties, your poinsettia is beautiful and love the background colours behind your border die

Hi Darnell, Fab cards. I love the last one.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend with the boys. Sue
Oh wow Darnell, a bumper bundle of gorgeousness today, you really do spoil us. Those chicklets are just so adorable and the poinsettia sure does make an impact, it is stunning! The die cut edge on your magicals card is so, so beautiful and very elegant.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and how lovely to have the boys with you too, I can just imagine you putting up the tree - yes, it doesn't seem all that long since last year, time goes by so quickly these days. I hope Hammy gets back soon and please give Nellie a cuddle from me.
Big hugs, Annie xxx
A great set of cards Darnell, love the giant poinsettia and of course those cheeky chicks.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about Grandsons growing quickly, mine is 9 and he is as tall as me! :)
Fabulous cards Darnell - love the cuties!
ReplyDeleteKath x
Beautiful cards Darnell! I love the one with the gold poinsettia! Some people around here already have there Christmas decorations up. We will start ours after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Marilyn❤
Fabulous makes. I, too, have blinked and a challenge is over. We are also putting up the tree today. Enjoy your time with the grand kids. That time is getting more precious as they will start their adult lives in a few short years........wahhhhh..............OKay, it's got happen. That's what we all train them for. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteYour little chicks are adorable! Your gold poinsettia is beautiful. I love the use of the dotted vellum on the background. The last card is my favorite. I have some Lindy's Magicals in my craft room that I have never used. You are my inspiration! I really love the pretty poinsettia edge die....so lovely. We are, also, putting our Christmas tree up today. Thanksgiving is falling later than usual (on my husband's birthday), so this weekend is the time we would normally put it up. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy decorating with you grandsons. Hugs, Sharyn
ReplyDeleteThose little chick cards are fabulous and so funny. Great job on them. I'm glad you shared them, even if they never get entered into a challenge. :) The gold card is so shimmery and pretty and the colorful final card is lovely. You make some terrific cards, Darnell. Enjoy your time with your family! Looking forward to seeing the end result if you care to share. :) Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSuper set of cards. Love the spharkle on the second one. Specially like the coloured background on the third and the trio are so tipi ally you. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteThey are all great cards but may favourites are the silly birds. Everything a CAS card should be xx
ReplyDeleteA stunning threefer Darnell. I love your cute and pretty chicks and then your beautiful bright and shiny white embossed poinsettia, and finishing with the gorgeous mix of colours served up with the wonderful poinsettia edger over the top. Five fabulous Christmas cards! x
ReplyDeleteOh, girl these are all so well designed and gorgeous! I love how you can go from one style of card to another without skipping a beat. Your talents are so unlimited.
ReplyDeleteThese are all WOW! cards, Darnell, in their distinctive styles. Love the poinsettia and the edger with the beautiful background. Enjoy your grands and decorating. You'll get to enjoy having the tree and house decorated for a little longer than usual.
ReplyDeleteThree cute little chicks to wish us peace, love and joy. That is a beautiful poinsettia and it just shines. Beautiful soft background for the third card. The time is flying by and I'm so glad the boys are coming to still decorate. I have a picture of my sons home from college one year decorating the tree and making fun of the things each other made for the tree during their younger school years. I have since given those things to them for their own trees and now they cherish them.
ReplyDeleteThese chicks are such fun and make delightful Christmas cards! So Dolly! The gold poinsettia with the platinum sentiment is like a jewelry store window! Gorgeous, my friend! Love the Magical background that's so perfect with your die cut poinsettia border! Is this a threefer or a fivefer? Either way it's full of inspiration! Enjoy those big boys and the decorating. I know you treasure these times and I'm sure they do and will treasure these memories as they grow in adulthood. Mwah!
ReplyDeleteA lovely collection of cards. I especially love the pointsettia.
ReplyDeleteHappy turkey day.
Suh-weet cards with those fun chicks and love that big poinsettia!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree and you nailed the description of your wonderful collection of cards just in the title. Cute chicks... they made me smile. Classy poinsettias... just beautiful. Cozy sentiment... colours are so soft and pretty. Thank you for joining us at CAS Christmas with that last one.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know where the time goes either, but enjoy your quality family time.
All your cards are so sweet and beautiful! Love them!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can agree with Thanksgiving being so late...seems to be throwing everything off track a bit. I had my husband put the Christmas lights up outside a few days after Halloween. Told him I rather have them up now than doing it the day before/on Thanksgiving, all that work for just for a month?!...Nope. lol Put them up early this year! lol ;) I have the inside of our home decorated with Christmas things as well, but will do the tree the day before Thanksgiving. ;) Enjoy your family time and Thanksgiving!! :)
Hugs <3
Another gorgeous selection! Jo x
ReplyDeleteWhat a ceasonally spectacular post...all the cee's in one fell swoop. Those 3 chick cards had me giggling then you moved on to the classy floral rounding out the whole with colorful and gorgeous final card. What an amazing array to delight any Christmas lover. Have fun decorating...I know it feels like I just took my decorations down. Talk about how swiftly time goes by...whoosh!
ReplyDeleteYou are really spoiling us with the threefers. The first three care so cute and brilliant. A fabulous die and lovely subtle colours on your third card.

ReplyDeleteLOVE the cards. Heatwmbossing on gold foil cardstock - now why didnt I think of that? ;) Stunning. Question: Have you "splattered" gold in the vellum, or do you have readymade vellum with goldinksplatters?
ReplyDeleteOh dear, how dare Hammy go away and leave you lonely at this time of year :(.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing the 'twins and tree' photo - 2019 seems to have sped past way too quickly - I have given up on making C cards this year - I will be using the last of my bought cards from years ago!
Loving your gorgeous cards Darnell - keep up the great work, especially with the chick ones :)
Blessings
Maxine

The set of chicks is adorable, and the poinsettia is WOWZERS, gorgeous! Also loving the inky background on the last card. Really loving that second card, had to go back for a second look, love it! Have fun with your grandsons!
ReplyDeleteYour chicklet cards are so cute! Love the embossed snow. I can definitely relate to the first and third as I am not comfortable on ice at all!! (I am always so amazed at how easy ice skaters make it look - lol!)
ReplyDeleteYour poinsettia cards are gorgeous. I love all the beautiful gold on the first, and the pretty colors on the second.
Another wonderful selection of Christmas cards Darnell. I adore those cheeky chicks, the gilded poinsettia is so elegant and your background on the last one is so pretty and I love the sentiment. Hope you are having fun with your boys xx
ReplyDeleteComing to your blog is like going to a whole gallery Darnell! The styles of your cards are so different and all are delightful. I love your cute little birds on ice (I think they need more skating lessons!) and the golden poinsettia is très elegant, but the last card with the gorgeous underskirt is so inspirational that I've extended my shopping list by another few feet or so...! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous and fun cards Darnell! I especially love that gorgeous poinsettia card...beautiful with all of the gold!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat, Darnell ... triplets in a threefer ... you're spoiling us! Those little chicklets are adorable and fun, who couldn't smile seeing these guys coming out of the envelope ... lemon'd or not! That white-embossed-on-gold poinsettia is a stunner ... classy, stylish, elegant ... and so shiny! The soft pastel colours in the Lindy's Magicals make this traditional poinsettia border all fresh and contemporary ... and so pretty! Enjoy the Christmas decorating with the boys ... shame Hammy is missing it, though I guess he'll be doing some of his own during his family visit! LYAMYHAHMA! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

I'm so glad you posted your triplets, darling cards and deserving of being seen. That gold poinsettia is fabulous, I would have never guessed it was white embossed on gold card. Great tip! Your edger die is amazing and I love that magical bit of color underneath. I've told hubs to get the Christmas stuff out, its going up on Friday. I'm not a fan of a late Thanksgiving. It makes everything feel so rushed. Enjoy the twins visit.
ReplyDeleteJust found your gorgeous gold poinsettia in our gallery at Time Out, Darnell (how could I have missed the badge ... duh!) ... another chance to enjoy such loveliness! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! LYAMYEDMCA! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

ReplyDeleteLynn
They are all fab... and I'm sure the tree will be too! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, my! Well, I just love those little birdies and have a few of them, myself. Mine are up to different antics, but, you know, the same birds. Your poinsettia card is spectacularly elegant, and the last card is a total WOW with the pretty colors and the die letting them peek through. Just heard we're supposed to get some strong wind tomorrow night, and north of us in the valley where our son lives will be freezing rain and snow. All this right as the Thanksgiving holiday comes up. I do not want him to drive in that weather!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous Christmas card, thanks for playing along with us at THAIC.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards, Darnell! Those sweet birds CANNOT be any cuter, and you've colored them wonderfully! Your poinsettia card? Wowzer! Love the shine and how all was perfectly placed. Your sweet edger die is quite pretty... it's giving me all the feels... must restrain...
