Hello Stamplings!
I hope you're having a great day!
I'm popping in real quick to share an oxidized (non-Christmas) metallic make with you.
As usually happens with these mixed media makes, this was not the least bit intimidating! It was easy and fun. I used a sheet of T. Holtz silver paper and splashed alcohol inks about. I love the way these two play together!
Once dry, I embossed with a 3D panel from Sizzix 662455. The flowers and flourishes and pearls really do look oxidized and the sheenanigans are incredible in the reality of life! I attached the panel to a square card base that I first embossed with a pierced rectangle die. A simple sediment finished it off.

WOW!! I mean really...WOW!! What a cool card Darnell!! You made it sound so simple but yet there must be more to it than that!! I'm just loving all the bright color and texture and the "oxidized" look! FABULOUS card my friend!! :0)
What a great mix of AI and blending. It looks fantastic with dimension and so much interest. It is fun to see the results of AI. It never ceases to amaze me. You have excellent eyesight!
Looks like a fun technique to play with.
Beautiful colours, great success with the technique!
This card for me is truly outstanding. There is so much cohesion between the oxidized BG and the dry embossing, it’s like magic.
Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up!
What a great look with all the texture in the design and wonderful colors.
It's a shame this didn't work for the Mix-Up challenge, Darnell, because it's beautiful and very metallic looking. I am glad you made it a birthday card so you could send it to us. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Addicted to CAS.
Wonderful textures!! Great work with metallic paper and oxides! And it looks so well with that frame around!
Hugs
It may not have any metallic embossing powder, but I love the texture and colors, Dolly! It makes me think of a pressed tin ceiling.
Your card front looks like a sculpted bas relief! Honestly, it really looks amazing. I'm assuming it was Hammy's guidance that lead to the success of this card. :)
This is what I call oxi-magic! Except turns out it's not really oxi, but it's one of the most gorgeous things I've seen in ages. That embossing folder is VERY dimensional!
"Real quick" is good, especially when you show something as beautiful and colourful as this gorgeous card Darnell.

I was intimidated just looking at it! So glad you set me straight by letting us know how simple it was to create, but boy it doesn't look that way! It looks like it belongs in a gallery!
What a super card - you have got me wanting to look at this silver paper by Tim H now as I love the effect you got. Thanks for your recent good wishes on my blog, still not heard about the camera but will let you know when things start happening.
Hugs, `neet xx
The alcohol inks look amazing on the silver paper, Dolly (have to get me some of that!). :) I love the embossed image and how the silver looks like oxidized metal. Great work, my friend. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx
WOW! I love this!! The textures and colors are amazing, and the embossed "frame" is perfect to pull the whole thing together. Your greeting panel is perfect for this card as well; it looks like a little engraved, metal plate.
What a wonderful card -- but I disagree, it looks TOTALLY intimidating!
Now that is one cool card, my friend! Love that you used an embossing folder with the AI panel--gotta remember that!
I wish I'd thought to use AI's... This is terrific and the embossing makes it look even more amazing! Thanks so much for playing along at CAS Mix Up! Have a great day!
Looks FABULOUS, like a piece of art!
I'm totally impressed with this one my friend! It's fabulous with the metallic highlights and I love how that embossed flower steals the show in spite of the busy colorful background! What a wonderful card that looks like it took hours to make :)
